New Florida poll: McCain 45, Obama 40

In a new poll released by the Florida Chamber of Commerce, 45 percent of Florida voters said they would vote for Sen. John McCain if the presidential election were held today. Forty percent said they would vote for Sen. Barack Obama. Fifteen percent were undecided.

This is the same poll that shows Gov. Charlie Crist's approval rating at 63 percent. The statewide poll of 1,600 registered voters was conducted July 20-28 by Fabrizio McLaughlin and Associates.

OK do I have it right now? Oil Companies set the price of gas?

Flag, you never answer questions and you change your mind like you savior ComObama. You are an idiot.
First you write that its good to tax corporations, now you offer tax breaks, which is it?
You Econ guru retard.

Obama is the anti christ by the way.
Watch him stumble and Bumble from his meeting today, he is as stupid mmmmm
mmmm as aaaaahhh mmmm welll you Flagophlie of poop

5:06,

Are you joking?

All taxes aren't alike. That's your problem; you can't think critically.

If you can't discern the policy difference between taxing "windfall" profits and giving tax breaks to companies who create jobs in America instead of shipping them overseas, please don't procreate.

Omega,

I agree that inelasticity is determined, partly, by your location.

However, when you consider America's oil consumption, in the aggregate, it is extremely inelastic.

It is not only very inelastic for individuals in most of America who don't live in major metropolitan cities but also for businesses who need to ship their products all over the country, for heating, etc.

Flago-poop-phile

Flag-o-poop-phile
You are so smart your stupid.
Companies can pass on taxes any way they choose. Cutting jobs or health care,or raising prices. You are almost as good at economics as Phil Graham.
The bottom line is manipulated more then your puny little mind by your god obama
and we know you won't procreate you are not a breeder thats for sure

Anyone who reads your post above will surely feel sorry for you.

First of all, your post makes no sense.

Second, characterizing it as sophomoric would be too gracious.

Third, I think you meant Phil Gramm, who, incidentally, was one of McCain's top economic/campaign advisers and the person most responsible for the so-called "Enron Loophole" and McCain's disastrous economic policy.

Flag-

Did it ever occur to you that companies ship their HQ overseas BECAUSE of our overly-burdensome tax system?

I'm with you in that we SHOULD offer tax breaks to those companies to keep them here...but your pals in the democrat party won't allow it.

Flag,

I love ya man, but have you seen the poll numbers? McSamemorewarfishstickswalnutsdependsnapolean leads by 5 points. I know, I know. It's only August 1st, but I just wanted to make certain you saw the poll. Too bad that his Socialist message is getting out now that his campaign already blew it's load on the primaries. It's tough to stand in front of a crowd naked and nothing to hide behind.

Dave-

No you do not...

Donald, LMAO!!! Thank you, I needed that. :-) Wish more people would wake up and see the truth about Barry.

The real test for Obama will be following the Dem Convention. If he does not get a 10%-15% blip upward in the polls, it's all over for him!!

Donald,

No, Flag didn't look at the poll numbers. Blithering idiots like Flag don't bother to look at, or believe in, poll numbers that don't show their anointed one leading in the hearts and minds of a majority. Unfortunately for them, the more that Obama shows America exactly what is in store if he wins, the worse the poll numbers will look for him.

I'm looking forward to Nov. 5th when we get to hear all of the Democrats gnash their teeth and wring their hands trying to figure out "what went wrong". Just like they did with Kerry in 04.

Donald,

I did see the polls.

I admit that they are troubling. Unlike you, I am not a hypocrite. You reference poll numbers when McCain makes up ground but dismiss them when he down.

For the last time, stop with the socialist/communist crap. Anyone who is even remotely intellectually honest, knows that it's just a matter of where you want the money to go.

Somehow, you have the audacity to claim that giving money to the middle-class is socialism, but bailing out Bear Stearns, is not.

6:28,

I'm not suggesting that companies should not go overseas if the business environment is better; only that we shouldn't give them incentives. If things are so great overseas, additional incentives should be unnecessary.

Blaming it on the Democrats, is laughable. The incentives were put in place by Republicans. Obama promises to reverse that trend.

7:01,

You guys are clowns. Your claim is baseless because McCain has not been doing well in the polls until now.

As I said earlier, the numbers are troubling.

It is early, though. Are you claiming it's over? How PRESUMPTUOUS of you.

Obama wins by 75% to 25%!!

Take it to the bank. The Messiah declared it himself just today. No one can doubt the correctness of everything Obama says.

Let's try this:

I know you all think Obama is a socialist so please try to answer this question without referring to Obama.

How will McCain balance the budget and save social security without raising taxes?

I looked on his website and couldn't find any specifics.

So now Obama wants to take away money from the oil companies and give every taxpayer $1000. If that ain't socialism, I don't know what else to call it. Can you imagine the inflation impact that would create. Not to mention what happens to the price of oil that can't be regulated outside the U.S. Obama is a bigger idiot on economics than McCain!!!

Flag,

No, hypocritical doesn't become me. I just brought those up since you've been harping on the numbers for the last two weeks, yet you had nothing to say about the numbers today. To me, that is called hypocritical.
Where would I like the money to go? First, I'd like to keep what I worked for vs. being taxed an unproportional amount. Enough so that the guy with big ears and a funny name who doesn't look like one of the President's on a Dollar bill does will tax me to the point that it becomes beneficial to work for somebody else vs. paying people to work for me.
No, bailing out failed companies should never be done. Bailing out anybody, including American citizens with stimulus checks, is totally unacceptable. Teach a man to fish....

Donald,

I've always said that the national polls are relatively meaningless at this point but that state polls are more important.

Don't misrepresent what I said.

Please answer my question above.

I bet you can't.

Florida is starting to wake up.

Florida will remmeber what Obama did to our votes on jan 29th.

Florida will remember how Obama ran ads from jan 21-29 , lost to hillary by 17 % and then said the votes shouldnt count.

Florida will remember Obama's flip-flops to just get elected.

Florida will remember the despicable spectacle last week in germany with 200,000 kool-aiders who were treated to free beer and pretzels and a concert to be coerced to see Obama.

Florida recognizes a fraud, how about the rest of the U.S.?

By: Rick Pedraza (from Newesmax)

With hopes of being chosen as Barack Obama’s vice-presidential running mate dashed, Hillary Clinton has begun the process of carving out her political future.

The New York Post reports Clinton met earlier this week at a secret ladies-only dinner in Washington to discuss where she can go from here.

After learning she would address the Democratic National Convention on its second night – traditionally not the night the vice presidential nominee would speak – Clinton reportedly gathered her female posse together to discuss a possible White House run in 2012.

The get-together included some of the top women in Democratic politics, like California Sen. Dianne Feinstein; founder of Emily’s List Ellen Malcolm; California Rep. and chair of the New Democrat Coalition Ellen Tauscher; and former Recording Industry Association of America CEO Hilary Rosen, who’s now political director of the Huffington Post.

**********************************************************************
Anyone wanting Hillary to be President in 2012, better vote for John McCain in 2008. If Barack Obama wins in 2008, Hillary does not stand a chance of unseating a sitting Democrat President and take his candidacy. Obama would almost be guaranteed a 2nd term.

REJECT OBAMA IN 2008. VOTE FOR MCCAIN AND WAIT FOR 2012.

Flag,

As far as S.S. goes, that is a socialist program that should have never been implemented to begin with. Now some 100 years later, it will be by the wayside like all Socialist institutions that ever existed.
How does McCain balance the budget? He won't as long as there is pork to be served. Neither party can quit that and neither party is talking about that. That's why the 2 party system is broken and a vote for either party represents a vote for more of the same vs. change. Sometimes Flag, one must take one step back in order to move 2 steps forward. This is where we are at right now.

BTW Flag, how would Barry balance the budget? Sending $25 Billion to the states in order to keep Govt workers employed isn't the answer to your question either!

Obama's polling numbers are dropping like a rock all over the nation.

He's in desperation mode. He even had African-American's protesting at his campaign rally in St Petersburg today at Gibbs High School

In other words, he can't.

And by the way, "pork" isn't the problem and suggesting that it is only reveals your lack of knowledge on the issue, Don.

Earmarks, also known as "pork barrel" spending, account for a meager $18 billion dollars per year. You wouldn't put a dent in the deficit even if you eliminated pork completely.

You should cringe every time you hear McCain say that he is going to balance the budget by cutting out pork. He's lying to you. Look it up.

Just a little tidbit, Don. 2/3 of our entire federal budget goes to Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, and the interest on the money that we already owe. McCain doesn't have the spine to say that he is going to cut Medicare, Medicaid or Social Security and unless he raises taxes he can't reduce the money that we owe.

He is a liar and a panderer who preys on the ignorance of people like yourself. What's worse, is that you seem to be among the more informed.

I'm out for the night. Look up the numbers above, Don.

He never promised to do so by 2013, Donald.

McCain did.

All you McCain guys are great at name-calling.

Not so good on the issues.

If Obama does not pick Hillary as his V.P., he will lose big in November.

I know huge, huge amount of Hillary voters would support McCain over Obama.

Remember, if McCain wins in Nov, Hillary has a great chance to be President-elect in 2012.

When elected officials can't keep themselves from stealing your money, that is the problem. Whether it's 18 Billion or 8 Billion, they're stealing your money. Sometimes the answer does not add up to just Dollars. You know as well as I that the only way to balance the budget is to cut govt spending. Just like your own household, the less you spend the more you have. That was really a no-brainer and I didn't think I had to point that out to you. $25 Billion to pay state workers? How does that help? Taxing Exxon to the extent of an entire year's profit? How does that help? Adding 47 million people to the health insurance rolls? How does that help balance the budget?

For those interested in the national polls and trends, I recommend Dick Morris' recent article discussing the cross tab results regarding the negative, gender voting trends experienced by Obama in woman over 40 and 50.

Barack Obama has spent nearly $5 million in Florida advertising while McCain has yet spent hardly anything, and McCain is up 5 points.

In reality, McCain may easily win 10-15 points, when the McCain ads run full force in October.

Florida is deeply entrenched red and it will be very difficult for Obama to make much inroads here.

But let him waste his resources here, it means less money for ads in Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylv.

American oil companies own about 6% of the world's oil production. Their profit margin is about 9%. Their taxes are about triple that number.

Demand from India and China plus instability in the middle east, Venezuela, Nigeria and Sudan are contributing to the run up in prices.

Why do you think Iran makes these wacked out statements every few weeks? First they rant about the increased uranium processing then threaten to destroy Israel every other week. Instability about supply drives up prices.

The Israelis are about to get Netanyahu back as a leader. He's a hawk and the chances of an attack on Iran are growing. It could be nuclear. Again instability drives up prices. The Israelis recently destroyed a nuke facility in Syria. They are not kidding.

It's going to get real interesting in the next few months.

A great video. The Messiah speaks, parts the water and other miracles!!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mopkn0lPzM8

That was a great ad by McCain's people.

There ads are top notch the last 2 weeks

As I proved above, McCain is a liar and a panderer who preys on the ignorance of the electorate claiming that he will balance the budget and fix the economy by cutting earmarks, which account for a meager $18 billion.

You all are being swindeled.

Flag,
Everyone knows you are a Michael Moore disciple.
Just go away, you and Obama are both like dog tirds, they will go away soon.

Go back to your Kibbutz and smoke your hemp and burn a flag and abort your baby and write letters to companies and eat your organic veggies, you neo hippie communist.

You know you're in bad shape when you can't even spell the word "turd."

Did you graduate elementary school.

I usually don't point out misspellings here, but you spell it that way all the time.

Tell the rest of your friends in the trailer park, you sick, ignorant, red-neck.

You are too dumb to be able to even respond to my posts with substantive answers.

It must be so frustrating for you.

Flag-o-poop-phile
I would love to see you break things at your trailer park when you read the anti-messiah posts.

Look "tird" there are no issues
Obama is full of crap, spouuting out "change, change, change" well its not going to happen, thats what people will be muttering on the street corners in 2009 under the little bumbling terrorist,
so take off your rose glasses and put down the bong.
McCain offers more war and thats good enough for me.

Would you allow a Doctor to operate on your child if he said, "I don't have any experience, but trust me. If you don't trust me then your are being discrimatory against unexperienced surgeons."?

The Presidency is not an "on the job training" position.

Saying that drilling must be considered as part of a broader energy policy is the political equivalent of saying .. "I'd like to talk about something else" as this stance gives him the final option, most notably after the election, to simply say no.

There is no real change .. Obama just doesn't like being beaten about the head and face by an issue that he knows will take him down. His energy policy (as outlined on his web site) has no such point that would include additional oil drilling and he has repeatedly said that it won't help.

Obama threw Pelosi under the bus, his
supporters against drilling are trying
to find room under there, as well. He saw the numbers in Florida and jumped for the bi-plan offered by the 10 in the Senate! But, that his way, its not as if he holds a "belief"...its to save his as*! The man has NO CORE. So, this fresh face and a few nicely turned phrases is what we've got for a presumptive nominee? He's done more flipping on policy than any of our recent Democractic candidates, sometimes in the span of a
day. But now, its called, evolving! Oh
yeah! We really need to do better than
this! Are you feeling me, superD's?

OBAMA's 4 mentors?

1. Frank Marshall Davis, renowned Communist Party Leader in Hawaii;
2. Rashid Khalidi, radical professor of Arab studies at Columbia University;
3. Jeremiah Wright, radical Black Liberation Theologist and Leftist; and
4. Bill Ayers, radical American terrorist who bombed the Capitol, Pentagon and NYC police station.

Fabrizio is a Republican pollster. I'm not saying his numbers are wrong. But he isn't a nonpartisan operator. Take his numbers with a grain of salt.

Florida will be very close. The GOP thought it would be in the bag. But Latinos have shifted heavily to the Democrats in Florida, thanks to the xenophobes running the GOP. Too bad for McCain, he can't get any credit for being on the right side of the immigration issue. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Also, Jewish voters aren't getting suckered by McCain toting his sidekick Joe Lieberman around with him.

If McCain doesn't spend resources on GOTV in FL the way Bush did in 2004, he will lose the state - and the election.

A chamber poll, it should have been McCain at 63 percent. if you are going to do a push poll, heck do a push poll

One thing Osama and Obama have in common is they both have friends that bombed the Pentagon.

Obama will not win in Fl without Hillary as VP. Their are too many old fart racists down here. I notice that people keep talking about Obamsa lack of experience. So what!If pea brain Bush can run the country how much worse could Obama do?

Agree withour Hillary, Obama is dead in the water!!! His arrogance won't let him pick her---he wouldn't be able to stand having someone smarter than him as VP--especially a white female!!

The only racist I see is Barack Obama:

A majority of Americans polled says Obama's remarks were RACIST.
