Rove: Florida may not be center of universe
The Architect sees Virginia, Colorado, Ohio, and Michigan as the key battleground states.
"Other states will see serious competition, including Florida, Pennsylvania, Nevada, New Hampshire, Missouri and Wisconsin. But Colorado, Virginia, Michigan and Ohio are likely to be the center of the action. To win, Mr. Obama needs to pick up 18 electoral votes more than John Kerry received, meaning Mr. Obama must carry Colorado or Virginia and add another small state to his column. If Mr. McCain carries Michigan as well as Ohio, it would make Mr. Obama's Electoral College math very difficult. And if Mr. McCain can limit GOP losses to one or two small states from those won by the GOP in 2004, he'll be America's 44th president."
Stateline.org has Florida moving as one of seven toss-ups.

Why isn't this freak in jail? Rove is a disgrace to our Nation and democracy.

God, that guy's a genius. He must make all of you LibDem's sick to your stomachs with how f-ing smart he is.

when will you go to prison turdblossom?
Posted by: | August 14, 2008 at 11:23 AM
Good Lord, you malleable-minded and brainwashed republisquids would vote for Osama Been Forgotten if Rove told you too.
… pathetic dopes…

Perhaps you could explain why he should be in jail and why he is a disgrace. Use some analysis. Your name calling and conclusory statements are infantile. But if you were a thinking person, you would be a Republican. How ironic.

You’re right; I’m sorry. Please accept my apology. It seems I forgot to take my Bush Administration issued little red pill today.
Thank God for Karl Rove or we’d all be dead right now.
How’s that; can I join the minion pinhead club now?
… dope

11:22, smart enough to get us into an endless war, ruin the economy and lead his leader to record-low job approval and the worst presidency in our nation's history. Genius, I don't think it means what you think it means.

and smart enuff to never have been fotographed in his high heels, prom dress and picture hat!!
miss piggy!!!!

If Obama holds Kerry states and adds Colorado, Iowa and New Mexico, he wins. He might also add Alaska, Montana, Virginia and Florida or Ohio.

rove would have been a great nazi
Posted by: | August 14, 2008 at 12:06 PM
perhaps 11:41 can explain to America's Conservatives why the should respect a man who hoodwinked them into voting for Bush and his massive expansion of our Federal government? I am a Republican and true conservatives loath Rove.

Would someone kindly tell the Pillsbury doughboy Rove that he's not the center of the universe.
Posted by: | August 14, 2008 at 12:28 PM
and to come out, come out, that closet is getting too crowded with manymany repiglican girlie"men"!!

Too bad the Democrat's ain't democratic. They lost my almost certain vote by telling me my vote didn't matter.
They couldn't have done any other thing to show me the true nature of the party than that.
All other things aside, as an American, I believe my vote should always count. If the party rules say officials get to decide if my vote counts, I'm out!
Posted by: | August 14, 2008 at 12:39 PM
Ohio will allow people to register to vote and then vote the same day!! The D's will take Ohio with that set up! Unbelievable but very clever!!
Posted by: | August 14, 2008 at 12:49 PM
I love those posters that won't vote Dem because "their vote didn't matter." Do these idiots realize their vote in the Repug side didn't count either? (or only half of it did?). Whatever the line of the day party has their minions well in tow though. Too bad you can't be honest and state what you really meant - "I would never vote Dem, they make you think for yourself."

Colorado, Indiana, Ohio, New Mexico and Nevada are where resources need to be spent...
Indiana is odd given how well Obama is polling given past performance of republicans. Colorado is on the cusp of this oddness. If these two go to Obama, McCain can't overcome.
Of Colorado and Indiana, Colorado is more likely to go with Obama. If that happens and Indiana to McCain, Ohio, New Mexico are the battleground states.
If Indiana and Colorado go republican as they have in the past, Ohio IS the key battleground state. Without it, Obama can't win and McCain needs Ohio and at least New Mexico or Nevada to win outright.

In another scenario, McCain loses the popular vote and the electoral vote, but wins the Supreme Court vote, and we become a 3rd World totalitarian state. Oh wait...

no matter how McThusela wins, 1.48, if he does WIN we are on the fast track to third-world.......
Posted by: | August 14, 2008 at 02:05 PM
12:39, how did the Republicans count your vote this year? When you pretend to be offended by the action of one party or person, remember to also be offended by the same action if committed by someone else. Got it?
Good.
Posted by: | August 14, 2008 at 02:09 PM
How, 2:05, how precisely would be on our way to the third-world?
Posted by: | August 14, 2008 at 02:10 PM
"... on our way to the third-world?"
Open the door sport... we're there already.

THIRD WORLD:
unquestioningly taking whatever an untreated DRUNK says as fact
deeply in debt to china, and others
the top 2 or 3 percent make all the money
cant fund our obligations, present and future
respond to any troublesome event with bluster which cant be backed up
name callling: remember "old europe"?, you know, the guys who seem to actually be having some impact with the russia/georgia thing, instead of the DRUNK and condiliar
run by a coven of sociopaths who, while proclaiming "freedom", do everything in their power to abrogate 800 years of common law protections of the individual from the state
encourage spying on each other
set one group against the other, whether by race, ethnicity, religion or whatever is most convenient to provide distraction from what REALLY is happening
we just have nicer houses and cars but we are racing towards serious, permanent inferiority in the world
and seem to want to elect another enabler of the SAME LYING DRUNK

Now that we are a solid republican state we are not important to campaign in. Why waste the money when all the sheep vote republican just like fox news tells them. We live in a Republican paradise, bad government, bad schools, crumbling roads, high tax burden on the middle class that we can blame on the democrats, terrible courts and right wing judges who screw consumers in favor of business, bad health care, no health insurance, and corporations with record profits. Why would anyone vote for change when we can continue on with this.....got to go Brit Hume is coming up next right after the Oreilly radio hour.

Dear 11:41,
I wasn't the poster that you were calling out; however, if you want to know why I think that he should be in jail, I would answer because his role in the disclosure of an undercover CIA agent for short term political gain undercut the national security of this country. This is treason.
I love my country. I wish that someone would stand up for its ideals or at least its laws!
Posted by: | August 14, 2008 at 04:02 PM
If you really want to know where this country is headed under the republicans try reading up on Milton Friedman. Don't feel bad if you don't know about him. But our republican presidents all the way back to Nixon have been using his economic plan and now George has been able to really get it going. Outsourced jobs, lower wages, less unions, privatize school (the voucher plan),tax cut to the wealthy, unlimited corporate profits (look at the oil companies), cuts in social programs, drop in trade barriers aka NAFTA, importing cheap goods and control of the stock market by the super rich. The goal is to have 2 classes the small number of very wealthy controlling the rest of us. They will use fear, like there is a terrorist behind every tree, they will allow drug into this country to increase fear and crime. They'll keep bringing up the illegal Mexican issues to deflect your attention from them. They raised our fuel costs so you have to struggle more to pay your bills again so you don't have time to ask questions and they have dumbed down the education system. The people you should fear the most are right here running our country. Time to change before it is too late.

for 11.41. and other apologists for criminals:
karli-boy had to "correct" his testimony in the plame affair FOUR or FIVE times....gee, doncha think a "man" as smart as karli-boy would get it right the first time?
"stand up"?
only for the rich
now, on the other hand, karli-boy will bend over, if youd like

Middle American in OH MI VA CO will not like voting for a racist like Obama.
The only state that don't really mind his and Jeremiah Wright's bigoted kind is Illinois
Posted by: | August 14, 2008 at 05:11 PM
Michigan? Are we having a serious conversation here or just daydreaming out loud?
If Republicans waste a dollar or a moment there they are toast, period. Give it up.
They better get loaded to bear in Florida, Virginia and Colorado where they actually have a chance due to demographic, social and economic reasons.
Ohio just may still have enough GOP power left over to land right but Michigan? Oh my.

Let's see now. He compromised the identity of a CIA agent. He politicized every US attorney position in the DOJ and countless other federal agencies. He masterminded fake intelligence to take us to war with Iraq instead of going after Bin Laden in Afghanistan.
Remind me who the brain is again?

7:03pm,
Michigan will be easy for McCain if Romney is the V.P.
That is his home state + his dad use to be the governor. Throw in the fact that Detroit's dem. mayor just got thrown in jail, MI is ripe for the taking
Posted by: | August 14, 2008 at 11:19 PM
Barack Obama is dropping like a rock in national polling. He's in deep trouble and reports are now he may be considering picking Hillary as his V.P.
