Bubriski steps back from Palin comment
Barack Obama's FL Communications director Mark Bubriski the other day e-mailed the Herald his defense of Robert Wexler's comments about Sarah Palin: "Palin was a supporter of Pat Buchanan, a right-winger or as many Jews call him: a Nazi sympathizer," he wrote.
Today, Bubriski said this: "My previous statement about Gov. Palin is not only factually incorrect, but it also does not at all reflect Sen. Obama's views or the position of his campaign."
Some more background on the Palin/Buchanan connection is here.

"My previous statement about Gov. Palin is not only factually incorrect, but it also does not at all reflect Sen. Obama's views or the position of his campaign."
Now, this is a news flash.

Great Convention Tonight,
Thompson laid out why Palin is a GREAT choice over The One.
She's managed a $2.5 Billion budget and 25,000 employees in direct contrast to Obama's Community Organizing where he ran the Annenberg Challenge for Terrorist, William (Bill) Ayers and promptly missed the goal by 85% and shut down 4 years early.
Lieberman..."he's a nice young man".
Why's the Democratic ticket upside down?
Posted by: | September 02, 2008 at 11:46 PM
I don't see why Bubriski had to retract his comment. Palin/McCain clearly will have a problem with Jewish voters. Not only did Palin support Buchanan, but her nutty church preaches ugly anti-semitic views. Palin sat in church the same day her preacher described terrorist attacks on Israel as "God's judgment." Disgusting. McCain should push for Palin's withdrawal, although it's probably too late already.

Already been debunked, "Bob". She wore a button because Pat was in Alaska for a stop.
Lieberman supports she and McCain and this picture clearly shows an Isreali flag in her office:

If John McCain wants voters to conclude, as he argues, that he has more independence and experience and better judgment than Barack Obama, he made a bad start by choosing Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska.
To us, it says the opposite. Mr. McCain’s snap choice of Ms. Palin reflects his impulsive streak: a wild play that he made after conservative activists warned him that he would face an all-out revolt in the party if he chose who he really wanted — Senator Joseph Lieberman of Connecticut.
For Mr. McCain to go on claiming that Mr. Obama has too little experience to be president after almost three years in the United States Senate is laughable now that he has announced that someone with no national or foreign policy experience is qualified to replace him, if necessary.
Mr. McCain’s hurdles are substantial. To start, he has to overcome Mr. Bush’s record of failures. (The president addressed the convention Tuesday night and now, McCain strategists fervently hope, will retire quietly to the Rose Garden.) That record includes the disastrous war in Iraq, a ballooning deficit, the mortgage crisis — and the list goes on.
To address those many problems, this country needs a leader with sound judgment and strong leadership skills. Choosing Ms. Palin raises serious questions about Mr. McCain’s qualifications.

Sorry, NYTimes,
You're opinion doesn't carry weight here.
You've had writers resign over plagiarism and now you're supporting a candidate that a) hangs out with racists, b) works with terrorists and c) plagiarizes others' work.
Americans want REAL people with REAL problems to help get things done.
Obama is a blank slate supported by racists, terrorists, and corporate hacks (aka George Soros).
McCain SERVED his country and Mrs. Palin IS her country.
Obama's not ready now, GET GONE, NY Times.
Why's the Dem ticket upside down anyway?
Posted by: | September 03, 2008 at 12:34 AM
11:58 conveniently skipped over Bob's (11:47) mention of Palin's wingnut anti-semitic church because he knows that it's absolutely true. It should be in all the media by now.
So how was Bush's address? I didn't watch because I can't stand to listen to his lies any longer. Is he still unrepentant for the murder of the 4000+ troops he sent to die in Iraq for Exxon-Mobil profits?
Posted by: | September 03, 2008 at 12:45 AM
Wexler should apologize publicly. Bubriski should resign.

I believe it's Barack Obama that hangs with Racist Preachers, Terrorists, and Corrupt Billionaires.
In addition to Rev. Wright calling our great country the US of the KKK A and Bill Ayers bombing our Pentagon and killing innocent folks, Billionaire George Soros bought over $1 Billion worth of Petro Bras (found 2 HUGE offshore OIl fields) and Hess Corp. stock in the last 3 months. I bet the folks over at the Left Wing Loon web blogs would like to know.
Though, probably not, they hate this country and it seems you do, too.

In my mind, McShame has clearly shown that he is not qualified to be President.
He would put this country in serious jeopardy and leave our safety at stake should his understudy take the lead. He gave up his duty and honor for the big prize; country be damned.
He has never deserved to lose more than at this moment.

YOU are the traitor, McToady. YOU hate America.

How many times are you going to post Obamabot?
The Dem ticket is upside down.

Governor Palin has a $12 Billion budget and 15,000 employees.

Why apologize for speaking the truth?
Posted by: | September 03, 2008 at 01:14 AM
I still think McCain must have decided to "take one for the team." He knows this country can't survive another GOP administration. He chose Palin because he knew that would be the same as throwing the election. No other logical reason for such an absurd, flawed VP choice.

Obama is NOT supportive of Israel. His "spiritual advisor", of 20 years, the Rev. Wright feels we deserved 9/11 because of our policies which support "state supported terrorism against the Palestinians". That's code for "supporting Israel".
As a Jew, for Wexler to support this man is handing Israel up to its enemies.
For shame!!

It is unbelievable to me that the press and these liberal blogger idiots are delving into this womans family, yet they leave out Obama's association with RACISTS, FELONS and TERRORISTS.
Their excuse: We have already looked into to all that, so it is old news.
Bull, so there is a pregnancy in her family, big deal. That is less of an issue to me than the thought of Bill Ayres and Rev Wright staying in the Lincoln Bedroom and helping the ONE make policy.
If you liberals would have just watched the speeches from Thompson and Liberman last night, you may have an idea why John McCain is the best choice for this country.
My guess is that most of you have never had to sleep without air conditioning let alone be tortured for almost 6 years.
Wake up, this man and his family are true American heros.

This is what you liberals are suffering from:
Cognitive Dissonance: an uncomfortable feeling or stress caused by holding two contradictory ideas simultaneously.
Obama said that we can not expect change if we keep moving the same people into different chairs.
Are you for or against bringing new people and ideas to DC or not? OR BOTH?
Posted by: Dave | September 03, 2008 at 08:32 AM
As a member of an Assemblies of God Church - and a Democrat, I am completely disgusted that someone would say that an AOG church is anti-Semitic. The AOG Church not only strongly supports Israel, but has supported many Jewish causes over the years. We love our Jewish brothers and sisters.
I really havent made up my mind in this election. I've been leaning towards Obama because I think change is good. But some of you are causeing me to rethink that with this vitriolic nastiness.
Obama would not be proud if he read these written comments.
Posted by: | September 03, 2008 at 08:36 AM
If Obama is going to surround himself with people like Bubriski and Wexler, I might not vote for him. Wexler is a loose cannon like Bill Shaheen and should be treated the same way. Bubriski should be fired. Show some class, Obama campaign.

Good call, 8:57. I'm basing my vote on the the communications director in a state saying something stupid. I mean, I could vote on things like the war in Iraq, jobs, the environment, energy, taxes, education and nuclear proliferation, but the issue that sticks in my craw is the state-level staffers! Barack, you had me all the way until Florida's spokesperson said something mean.

You are right on one thing: Obama will be all over taxes; raising them on all of us and putting us into a DEPRESSION.
Don't fall for the "he will bring equity to taxation, or only the rich will be taxed or we will raise taxes on corporations" bit, he will hit everyone who pays taxes directly and everyone else indirectly.

Hey idiot, I know you do not read, but last fiscal year the feds took in record taxes. And yes, that was mostly from the EVIL RICH. I personally pay more in taxes than you earn.
You are a typical liberal; soak the producers in this country and then complain it is not enough.
Our Government is bloated at all levels. Mostly due to 80 years of tax and spend liberalism.
Learn the facts, get a job, and feel free to pass 100% of your earnings to your friends in DC.
Try a little history: Ever hear of JFK? He cut marginal rates to improve the economy. Guess what Einstein? It worked as it does every time it is tried.
