Castor stumps in Sarasota
U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor, D-Tampa, made a pit stop at the Barack Obama town hall meeting in Sarasota today that featured vice presidential candidate Joe Biden.
She encouraged Obama-Biden supporters to make a pitch to their undecided friends. "Explain to your friends and family who is on your side," she said.
Castor got a standing ovation after asking the Sarasota audience to support Democrat Christine Jennings in her run for the House.
"Hope is on its way," she said. "We cannot afford more of the same. It's time to change what's happening in Washington."

Was this townhall meeting held at a public forum or at a private residence, Janet, and if the latter, what was the fair market value of the residence?

public forum.

Castor is one Florida Democratic politician who wasn't offended when all of our vote were voided. She endorsed Obama when the man was saying it wasn't "fair" to count our votes because he'd decided to shun us and that if they were going to be counted, he had to be able to decide how the votes were cast--he called it an acceptable formula.
While this anti-democratic, "I'm interested in my personal prospects only and your votes don't have to count if it serves my personal purposes" crap was being done by Mr. Obama, Ms. Castor came out and endorsed him.
Guess what's weighs more important in Kathy Castor's mind: your vote or her personal advancement?
