Crist fine-tunes media strategy
The need to manage three potential hurricanes in the same week as the Republican Party's national convention is prompting some adjustments to Gov. Charlie Crist's media strategy. Crist repeated Tuesday that he is not likely to attend the convention in St. Paul, where he was to have been a prime-time speaker Thursday, the same day Tropical Storm Hanna is expected to morph into a Category 2 hurricane off Florida's east coast. Crist also scrubbed a planned appearance on Jon Stewart's The Daily Show, where the conversation was not likely to focus on wind gusts, emergency shelters and flash flooding.
"I've cleared the governor's schedule of media out at the convention," said communications director Erin Isaac. For Crist to do any national TV this week, it appears it will have to be weather-related.

How Palin is Playing in the Supermarket Aisles:
“BABIES, LIES & SCANDAL,” screams the headline on the cover, with a picture of a smiling Palin holding her fifth child, 4-month-old Trig.
Inside is a collection of Palin lowlights -- from her daughter’s now well-known pregnancy; to Internet rumors that the governor pretended to be pregnant to cover for her daughter; to “troopergate”; to her onetime support for the “bridge to nowhere”; to a radio appearance where she giggled while shock jocks called a political rival a “b!*ch” and a “cancer.”

Wow, You have no clue what supermarket women like. They love successful Moms and cute kids.
She runs her household and a STATE. Let's take a look:
Governor Palin Executive Experience:
$2.5 BILLION budget for an entire STATE
25,000 employees
Barack Obama - Community organizer, Board member with Terrorist, Professional Campaigner
Annenberg Challenge with terrorist, Bill Ayers fell 85% short of goal and CLOSED 4 years early
Has CEO run campaign while he gives empty platitude laden speeches
Which would you rather have?
A FAILED commmunity organizer?
Or, a smart, tough, determined, GOVERNOR?
The Community Organizer should sit down and take notes.
Governor Palin wins hands down.

Palin got her passport while Governor. She has been out of the USA once.
She was mayor of a town of less than 7,000. The city hall she governed from looks like a Louisiana bait house. She was a PTA member. She is Governor of Alaska for less than 2 years. The entire population of Alaska is less than Tampa.
Maybe McCain should have asked Tampa Mayor Pam Iorio to be his VP. At least Pam has more experience.

How about this thought — there has to be a certain percentage of you here on the Buzz site, who was conceived before your parents were married! WHAT IF your mother had been a far left liberal and decided to have an abortion? . . . . . . .
Count me in that group. I was adopted as a baby.
Glad I didn’t make it to the tissue farm!
OBAMA = BABY KILLER!

Boy the lefties are coming UNHINGED about the thought Palin is going to cause Obama to lose the Election. I love it---the truth and middle America will prevail over the socialists.

Hey idiot, Tampa has a larger population than Delaware also. You know, the state that your VP pick comes from. And, he doesn't even run the state, he's just 1 of 2 senators. Maybe BO should have picked Iorio.

They are hiding her from all press interviews. What does that tell you? She cant answer any substantive questions right now and they are schooling her in isolation as we speak. I watched her recent talk at her church and she sounds like a teenager and has a limited vocabulary. Isnt anyone bothered by this? Are there any sane people left?

George--You are a sexist. I heard her on Glenn Beck talking about the energy problem a month or so ago, and she had better ideas and solutions than Obama or McCain. Maybe the problem is she should be running for President and not the VP!!
P.S.: Have you had problems with women for a long time? Did one drop you because you weren't the real man they were looking for? You sure sound like a guy with a big problem.
Posted by: | September 02, 2008 at 09:32 PM
I think she really is running for President. Have you seen Mccain lately. No way he makes it out of the first term. He gave a press conference 2 days ago about the hurricane and he was old, tired and truthfully he was sleepwalking through it. I dont think he is all there. Oh yeah, please clue me in on the great ideas to solve the energy crisis. I'm sure Beck was real tough on her.

The only reason Charlie is staying in town is because he can get more press at home than he would on a press junket.
Posted by: | September 02, 2008 at 10:19 PM
I'm listening to Lieberman now. Maybe Mccain didnt make a mistake in passing him over. Should have gone with Romney or Ridge though.

Photo Op Charlie would NEVER pass on a chance to be on national television.
Thompson, gave the best speech! Dems, you need to be worried.
COUNTRY FIRST, not God Da** America.

George---Did you finish playing with yourself in front of a picture of the Messiah. Knowing your hatred of women, I'm sure it wasn't Hillary's picture. Now a guy like you--LMAO, should be good for a quickie with a picture of a real women and the next VP of the U.S. Try a picture of SARAH!! Coming soon to D.C.!!!
Posted by: | September 02, 2008 at 11:39 PM
Boy someone loaded up George--The Obama Troll with cut and paste material. What a sad group of people now on the verge of one of the biggest flops in political history. They may have to bring in Dukakis to help them out!!!

Come onnnnn... Hanna!

Number 1, neither Delaware nor Alaska have a population smaller than Tampa. The city of Tampa, just for your information, only has a little over 350,000 residents. Hillsborough County, on the other hand has just over 1 million residents and is, indeed, larger than both Alaska and Delaware.
