Crist to make second Supreme pick
Gov. Charlie Crist will announce his second selection to the Florida Supreme Court on Wednesday morning at the Governor's Mansion.
Buzz hears there's a good chance it's First DCA Judge Ricky Polston.
Gov. Charlie Crist interviewed three finalists two weeks ago, which include Polston, 59, 1st DCA Judge Peter D . Webster, 59, Tallahassee and 4th Circuit Judge Waddell A. Wallace, 55. Webster and Wallace have been finalists before.
Last month, Crist appointed Charles Canady to the Florida Supreme Court, and he and his general counsel received dozens upon dozens of emails urging him to pick Canady, according to records Buzz requested. This go-round, Crist received about a dozen emails, and all except one asked him to appoint Judge Poston.

I hope this is true. Judge Polston is an exceptional jurist and wonderful human being.

Polston would be a tremendously solid choice. Very hopeful it is him.

Judge Polston is a very well respected judge and attorney here in Tallahassee. There's no doubt in my mind, the Governor could not pick a more honorable man for the job.

There is no better pick on that list that Judge Polston. Florida should be so lucky.

Governor Crist has identified a fair and honorable jurist in Judge Polston. The appointments of Judge Canady and Judge Polston send a signal to the citizens of Florida that our judiciary system holds great integrity.
