This site has become a place for mindless rants by mindless people. It is apparent that the more thoughtful cocntributors have dropped off over the last few months, leaving a horde of jerks who want to outjerk the other jerks . The name of the site should be changed from BUZZ to RANTZ. The St. Petersburg Times ought to be sited for contributing to the delinquency of minors. I am out of here.

I don' understand why all these Democraps want Palin off the Republican ticket. Seems to me they would want to leave her on there and keep quiet about her so old McCain loses. Then again, maybe they don't think he will lose with her on the ticket. All of a sudden all Dems are saying she should resign. Sounds like the same scenario as with the Repubs trying to convince Obama to let Biden go. It all sounds very suspicious to me!
Posted by: | September 29, 2008 at 10:04 AM
They say the $700 billion bailout of failed financial institutions is needed to protect our credit industry and thus american industry as a whole. Supposedly the root cause of the whole mess is failure of housing. People getting foreclosed upon. Why? Because their low adjustable rate loans skyrocketed up to unbearable payments. Nothing has been done about that. So bailing out the banks is like bailing out a sinking ship that has a big hole in the bottom. And yet the only thing Congress is concerned about is making sure part of your tax dollars in the payout go to pay multi-million dollar severance packages to the big shots who made the mess in the first place. Do not. I repeat, do NOT vote democrat or republican in the upcoming election for ANY office.
Posted by: Buzzard | September 29, 2008 at 10:05 AM
And those 7% undecided will be voting for McCain in November.
Go with the guy you know over the guy you don't know. Obama hasn't crossed the 50% mark in any poll, and that is a problem.
This election is a referendum on Obama and more than 50% of voters will NOT be voting for him.

Buzzard, you are correct...
One party simply wants to grow the government a little slower than the other.

If the democrats control congress and the white house---then we will have more funky subprime loans and let ACORN sue all the banks and forcing them to make loans to poor people. we will never learn any lessons. that is the democratic motto. its all about power sweeties.

I agree with the previous post. This blog is filled with a bunch of knuckleheads that know nothing about issues or politics. Just a bunch of hatred.
I am very excited to see the debate Thursday night. I feel the nation will see first hand that Sarah Palin is not equipped to be VP of the US.

dailykos.com, 9.29.08:
"Buried near the end of today's column from Howard Kurtz, where he is talking about Sarah Palin's disastrous interview with Katie Couric, was this interesting tidbit:
And the worst may be yet to come for Palin; sources say CBS has two more responses on tape that will likely prove embarrassing.
Given the excruciatingly bad answers she gave on Alaska's proximity to Russia giving her foreign policy experience, or her take on the $700 billion bailout, it's hard to believe that there's anything worse...isn't it? But the important question is, what is CBS waiting for? Why haven't they aired the entire tape?"
AMEN, tom, AMEN!!!!

Wow, it is heartening to see how scared Rs are about this election. Maybe it's having a witch hunter/secessionist on the ticket. After all hat would Lincoln say? As I recall Lincoln had some conflict with a secessionist party. Oh yeah, I think it was the Civil War.
Posted by: ALW | September 29, 2008 at 11:02 AM
Republicans in charge of Congress for all but the last year and a half. In charge of the White House for the past 7 and a half. Taking credit for the economy when it was sailing along and now pointing fingers at anyone or anything. It is truly pathetic. Republican Conservatism is a myth for seeking office. It does not exist in governing.
And am, however, glad that John McCain suspended his gambling habit to focus on the bailout.

But Florida is safe Republican???? I guess not idiots.
After foot soldiers of the Obama Revolution are put into place, it will be an easy victory in Florida. There are staff and volunteers all across the state, not just safe democratic areas.

Wake up and smell the change in the AIR ... this is a change election, the NUMBER ONE issue is the Economy, Voters favor Obama and the Democrats on the Economy. Polls do not predict turnout, and with the best field team in modern history, Obama will coast to victory Nov. 4th. It will be an early election night.

McCain wants to send more young American men and women to thier death for corporate profit and daddys revenge.
He wants to make your children into profit margins and now he has picked a clueless minion for VP to help him do it!

The fact that the polls are close is not good for McCain. The polls don't take into account most of the younger voters as they have cell phones and does not take into account the newly registered voters which have been overwhelmingly Democratic. I truly believe that McCain should be worried because if he looses Florida then he cannot win this election.
Posted by: Voter | September 29, 2008 at 11:32 AM
No matter; the fact is that Obama will need a 10 point lead to make up for the 30% of Democrats that refuse to vote for a black man.
Posted by: | September 29, 2008 at 11:38 AM
Yeah this is about change alright.
We will have the most liberal leadership in modern history.
Obama/Pelosi/Reid
Posted by: | September 29, 2008 at 11:45 AM
Voter, this will be a big turnout. However the groups that will come out in force are not the newly registered and young people.
You can not just look at voter registration and come up with a winner.
Posted by: | September 29, 2008 at 11:48 AM
McCain deserves to lose. His dirty campaign ads prove he has no integrity and his VP choice expose his uncaring attitude towards our nation.
And that doesn't even take into account the Bush legacy that he inherits for voting with the WORST PRESIDENT EVER 90% of the time.
Election First!

Why don"t you Dems let Sarah screw up rather than wasting your time posting hundreds of comments about how bad she is? Maybe she won't be as bad as you think. Maybe she will embarass Biden and not the Republicans. Seems to me you folks have Palin Mania and she isn't even an issue if she is so bad. Let her go ahead and show us how much of a dunce she is.
Posted by: | September 29, 2008 at 11:57 AM
I think Obama is looking at an electoral landslide after people see Palin start her Babble-Speak in her debate.
Posted by: | September 29, 2008 at 11:59 AM
It is becoming abundantly clear that the nation is getting tired of McCain's antics. He has lost a lot of credibility with his ongoing gaffes. Saying the economy is fundamentally strong the very day that the market crashed 400 points. Making a ludicrous attempt to delay the debate. The most ridiculous decision he ever made was Sarah Palin. Does he think that Americans are that naive?
Posted by: Tom | September 29, 2008 at 12:01 PM
11:57, I think most Americans are fascinated about the absurdity of Sarah Palin. It is absolutely beyond belief that this person has a legitimate chance of becoming the most powerful person on the planet. Try to digest that thought for awhile.
Posted by: Tom | September 29, 2008 at 12:02 PM
11:57 As long as there is still a chance that we could have Clueless Palin one heartbeat away from the White House, it is VERY MUCH AN ISSUE.
Why doesn't McCain just admit that no GOP is going to follow George Bush into office; he's a total failure and McSame voted with him 90% of the time.
Posted by: Admit it GOPers - Palin WORSE THAN QUAYLE | September 29, 2008 at 12:02 PM
McCain needs to make a last ditch effort in this campaign. He needs to get Palin to get citing "family obligations" and vet Mitt Romney before it's too late.
Thursday night is going to expose Sarah Palin on the world stage. Then again, George W. Bush got eight years so anything is possible.
Posted by: Tom | September 29, 2008 at 12:05 PM
The liberals have sunk to a new low.
1) They assisted terrorists in attacking our country with their intelligence gathering "walls".
2) They emboldened the enemy with the traitorous comments.
3) They blasted Bush at every turn in his handling of financial matters.
4) They blocked legislation that would have stopped the financial meltdown.
5) They kick out a moderate and install the most liberal candidate ever.
6) They lie to seniors, Hispanics specifically and to the rest of us in general to gain our support.
It sickens me to be anywhere near these scoundrels. If our national press actually did their job; it would be a McCain blowout. Instead only the inherent racism of the “30% of Democrats” can save us from ourselves.
Very sad….
