Gambler John McCain
After another crazy week in the presidential campaign, we now know for sure that John McCain's passion for gambling extends well beyond occasional trips to casinos.
Whether it's at the craps table he's known to frequent or on the campaign trail, McCain is a gut player who relishes high-stakes risk-taking. If not for his solid debate performance Friday night, the Arizona senator might have derailed his entire campaign last week with his roll-of-the-dice announcement that he was suspending his campaign and seeking to delay the first presidential debate so he could help negotiate a financial bailout package in the works on Capitol Hill.
More here. On Thursday we should see the next installment of the Sarah Palin gamble. "Mostly vice presidential debates don't matter, but the Palin-Biden debate will be as important a debate as we had Friday,'' said Republican strategist George LeMieux of Fort Lauderdale. "I don't think Joe Biden is going to factor much into the debate. It's going to be Sarah Palin vs. (moderator) Gwen Ifill."

McCain is in Washington fighting for us (again) while Obama talks about it.
We don't need this bailout yet. The Fed has over $1 Trillion; let's take our time and get a good bill.
Current FED MONEY Supply:

They typically use it to influence lending/borrowing. When Paulson freaked out, the Fed had done an infusion of capital and the banks sat on the cash because folks were withdrawing it.
The Fed can announce major infusions of cash, drops in rates, and/or accept more at the discount window from banks.
CALL or EMAIL your reps to slow this thing down! I called and the VM boxes were full. I emailed. They'll listen if we speak up.

IT'S NOT A GAMBLE IF MCCAIN KNOWS HE WILL WIN.
LIKE LAST NIGHT'S DEBATE, HE WAS SURE HE WAS GOING TO KNOCK OUT OBAMA, WHICH HE DID.
HE IS JUST MORE PRESIDENTIAL THAN OBAMA.

All Obama cares about is me, me, me.
He should be in Washington fixing our economy not campaigning. He is still a U.S. Senator and being paid by us too.
I will not be voting for this selfish idiot.

What a retarded headline.
George L. is right- Biden, aside from his abusive style of shouting, is not much of an attention-getter.

McReady was not gambling immediately after the debates! He had Rudy Guiliani take Palins place talking to the media while Joe Biden talked for Obama!. McReady is catching on as to what a fool Palin made of herself in from of the nation during Katy Couric's interview. Rumor is Palin is planning to use a Family Sick Leave day Friday.

McCain knocked out Obama with his experience. Palin will instead knock out Biden with her genuineness.

McCain was in DC... But, not on Capitol Hill. He was expressly told to stay away from the negoiations. He screwed up the talks on Thursday and is not welcome back at the table. He is not on the Senate Banking and Finance Commitee, so he has no place in any deal making process.

Funny how this McCain the Gambler article appears in SPT same day NYT runs article on McCain's ties to the gambling industry. Is this the new theme? That McCain is not only senile but a reckless ganmbler and corrupt as well? Thus does the MSM (aka Ministry of Truth) attempt to advance their agenda and shape how we proles think.

How can McCain be such a misogynist when he is spending his wife's money?
This guy is a nasty little man with no self control.

great post Adam. the real story is that apparently anyone can call themselves a 'republican strategist' -- George LeMieux doesn't know a damn thing.
Biden is gonna spank Palin if she shows up.

McBlinky CANNOT gamble with the future of this country.
He gambled last week by "suspending" his campaign to get back to DC. Whereas he actually stayed in NYC campaigning, raising funds and STILL FAILED TO READ THE INITIAL BAILOUT proposed. He never read it folks!
Inept and Unqualified.
McMoreWar/McLobbyist/McBush is no longer a proud Patriot. He's just a sleazy politician who's been running for longer than Sarah Palin's pregnant daughter has been alive!

Listen I'm waiting to go on vacation and need the money from my stock portfolio so lets get this done. If the democrats cared about the country they would just give the money to Wall street and trust them to do the right thing. I know the republicans and the bankers caused all the problems but all the investors are hurting and need help. holding up the bailout hurts nice people like Bill Gates, our vice president, Donald Rumsford and many others who have seen their stocks drop. We need our money so lets do this thing. The middle class will just have to get by with less. we all made some poor investments even the middle class but there isn't enough money to bailout everyone so the rest of you people will just have to wait. Please keep paying your taxes and please continue to help the poor with what ever you have left over and leave us wealthy people alone.

Ha! McBlinky/McMoreWar/McLobbyist/McLiar and of course, McBush actually made W look good this week! That's right - W outperformed the GOP nominee - at least W had read the bailout proposal.
And might I add, McLobbyists cancellation of the TownHall meeting in Columbus (yep, This Week with George Stenopulous (?) was supposed to be a Town Hall meeting in Columbus, Ohio. Sure, an email was sent out - but not eveyrone got there's --- the place filled this morning with exMcLobbyist supporters! LOL!

Chris--You ask WHY??
Because we don't want a racist, arrogant, Muslim anti-American as President. Easy to answer question!!!

Gamblers oftentimes lose (why does VEGAS make billions). Do we want a gambler (mcbush) to take the "3 AM phone call"? I don't; I would rather have a sensible clear headed president, NOT a warmongering hothead. McSame or Obama? Obama is the only sensible choice; then agin, the idiots elected w. ?????????

"I make (decisions as) quickly as I can, quicker than the other fellow, if I can," McCain said in his 2002 book, Worth the Fighting For. "Often my haste is a mistake, but I live with the consequences without complaint."
________________________________
We have had a very similar "decider" who looked into Putin's soul and liked what he saw. That same decider is famous for making "gut decisions".
Our country and the planet cannot afford another four to eight years of similar "leadership".
McCain may be able to "live with the consequences without complaint". That alone disqualifies him to be President.
How can he sleep at night when he can "live with the consequences without complaint".
"Often my haste is a mistake": Often? And he often speaks of his judgment, experience and knowledge.
"Often my haste is a mistake"!!!

McCain is OLD, 72 year olds should be retired. He would be the second oldest leader on earth!

Evangelicals, tell me how you square your guy's gambling late night in Vegas with your small town family values? McCain is in Vegas with lobbyists, drinking and play craps and then extolling the virtues of small town America. Just like dumping his first family, McCain seems to be quite adept at putting McCain first. I know, I know, his wife wasn't as attractive as she once was, so the only reasonable thing to do was to cheat and abandon her and his children. Now them's some small town values.

Ask anyone in Washington - McSame is the biggest star...ah...chaser in the capital. He just can't get enough of the clebs. This could explain why he's so crushed that Obama turned down the town hall dates and why John couldn't even look Obama in the eye during the debate. After all, McSame acts like a jilted lover in every other way.

I watched the latest debate between Barack Obama and John McCain. Although the “town-hall”-style TV debate attracted more than 60 million viewers, the majority were not satisfied with countless indirect answers to many of the questions that were asked that night. Instead of providing firm resolution for the well-being of all Americans, they hope to bring on a larger number of citizens to take sides by means of personal criticism. McCain continued to proclaim his “stay the course” stance on Iraq and his oil drilling policies. On the other hand, Obama carried on criticizing Republican policies that he claimed have led to America’s current recession. This unremitting action of theirs only leaves us wondering exactly how either of them would work to prevent further economic catastrophes. America needs a logical economic proposal. Obama encourages the scheme to wipe out the payday loan industry, which is not a logical solution to the real economic problems we face. This is only to add more flavors for the banking and credit union appetizer.

Last Tuesday, October 7th, the second presidential debate that took place in Belmont University in Nashville attracted over 60 million viewers. Instead of coming to a more firm deliberation on how to improve the well-being of the United States and all of the American citizens who inhabit it, more questions have raised about how exactly these presidential candidates intend to better our obliterated economy. Frequent questions asked about the $700 billion Wall Street bailout were left unanswered. People are upset and even fear that it would not work and are in search of reassurance and a solution. It seems like their main focus is basically to criticize each other in hopes of rounding up a larger number of followers than the other. Their proposed intentions are based on completely irrelevant issues. Let’s take Barak Obama’s stance on payday advance lenders for an instance. He categorized them as “predatory lending”- effectively sanctioning the industry. This is not an issue that is downheartedly affecting our economy. As the real economic problems are ignored, they spend more time finding and using the pettiest affairs to add spice to the banking production.

On Wednesday, October 14, 2008, Americans tuned in to the third and final U.S. Presidential Debate in Hempstead, New York. Senator Barack Obama of Illinois went into the debate with an eight-point lead, based on CNN’s compilation of national poll averages. It looked as though Obama was satisfied to sit on his lead, but Arizona Senator John McCain took full advantage of Obama’s contentment. McCain tested the strength and validity of Obama’s policies, judgment and qualities of character. Obama countered the challenge by pointing out the failures of the economic policies enacted by the Bush Administration over the past eight years. McCain argued that he is “not President Bush.” McCain stated that, if elected, he would sanction an “across the board spending freeze.” Obama’s position sounded more conservative because he intends to “go through the federal budget page by page, line by line” to allocate taxpayers’ money to the appropriate programs and to cut the programs that aren’t working as they should. Both presidential hopefuls think their economic plans will bring America the change it needs. However, their policies could eliminate consumer access to PAYDAY LOANS. Americans live in “the land of the free,” and special interest groups (i.e. banks and credit unions) shouldn’t be able to rob us of the freedoms that make this country as great as it is.
