GOP beating Dems on absentee ballots
Looks like the Republicans are outhustling Florida Democrats again on absentee ballots. According to Democratic figures, Republicans have requested more than 637,000 absentee ballots so far, compared to more than 441,000 for Democrats, and 185,000 for independents.
Improving their absentee ballot performance has been a top priority for Florida Democrats and the good news for them, according to these estimates, is that compared to this point in '06, Democratic absentee ballot requests are up 5.6% and Republican requests are down 5%. The Barack Obama campaign in a few days will send 750,000 mailers out, with tear-offs for voters to request absentee ballots.
"We're just getting started,'' said Obama campaign spokeswoman Adrianne Marsh.
"We continue to see positive results from Republicans requesting absentee ballots and expect that trend to continue," said Erin VanSickle of the state GOP.
Democrats continue their big push to register new voters until Oct. 6, and from 1/1/08 to 9/1/08 Democrats picked up 287,770 new registrations, while Republicans gained 112,290 and independents 89,859.

First Democrats created our current financial crisis by growing Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae and pushing for regulations that allowed unqualified individuals to receive home loans they could not afford or repay.
Then Democrats played politics and the blame game while leaders from Wall Street to Washington, D.C. were trying to craft a solution.
Now Democrats have failed to pass a rescue plan while the stock market was in free-fall.
Given this track record, why would any voter want to hand Democrats the keys to the White House?

Look around people. Who do you see with all the money?
Is it Democrats or Republicans?
When I look around I see a bunch of Rich Republicans like these guys who sank our economy...
" Sept. 26 (Bloomberg) -- Wall Street's five biggest firms paid more than $3 billion in the last five years to their top executives, while they presided over the packaging and sale of loans that helped bring down the investment-banking system.
Merrill Lynch & Co. paid its chief executives the most, with Stanley O'Neal taking in $172 million from 2003 to 2007 and John Thain getting $86 million, including a signing bonus, after beginning work in December. The company agreed to be acquired by Bank of America Corp. for about $50 billion on Sept. 15. Bear Stearns Cos.'s James ``Jimmy'' Cayne made $161 million before the company collapsed and was sold to JPMorgan Chase & Co. in June."

Don't vote absentee, and especially don't encourage elderly people to vote absentee. The error rate is higher among absnetees. Signatures change, or the ballots don't get signed.
Go early vote, then you know it will count.

DNC finally had to come clean with their absentee ballot initiative. They had to tell those asking for one that it DID NOT mean they could vote twice, once by mail and once at the polls!

Just because a Republican has an absentee ballot does not mean the person will vote Republican. Many absentee ballot voters are on a mailing list to be sent the absentee ballots until further notice!

You Tube and Warner Music Group today pulled a highly popular video that very succinctly and clearly spelled out the roots of the current economic crisis.
The 9:59 video entitled "Burning Down the House: What Caused Our Economic Crisis" played four different songs under a fast moving video sequence that very clearly tied Democrats like Chris Dodd, Franklin Raines, Jim Johnson and Barack Obama to policies and corruption related to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. It cleverly showed how the "affordable mortgage" programs sent an economic virus through the entire economy and showed Republican efforts to intervene and regulate being blocked.
For Obama and all congressional Democrats, it was a devastating video.
The video had almost a perfect viewer rating and had been viewed some 1.2 million times according to the You Tube counters. Sometime around 3:45 EDT the video disappeared with the banner saying "This Video is no longer available due to a copywrite claim by Warner Music Group."
This sounds to me a lot like another front in this war for the country.
Even though I wonder if Warner is so vigilant about its music being used for videos advantageous to Democrats, there is a perfect right to object to appropriation of intellectual property. Music is a business, and if you use someone's music you have to pay a royalty.
Simply re-post the video minus its music soundtrack, and see what happens. Ot use a soundtrack of music in the public domain. I suggest Vivaldi's Four Seasons, which has a driving beat of its own in various places.
Warner Music Group's political contributions this year are going exclusively to Democrats

Greer screwed the pooch on the absentee ballots by not sending personalized requests and not promoting the local candidates as has been done in the past. Another misstep.

7:45 and 8:49. Sorry chicos, I can't stomach the thought of another 4-8 years of ersion of Civil Liberties, skyrocketing deficits, uncontrolled spending ( without checks and balances) and the influx of the Religious Right on the decision making process of the Republican Party. Please go sell your "Obama is a Mulim not even born in the United States and wants to convert the Country to Islam while giving money to welfare queens " spewage someplace else- ther country is sick of your partisan retardations.

Wow, if these numbers hold up and 30% of Democrats vote Republican because they will not vote for a black man, McCain will surely win.
Thank God that racism is alive and well in the Democrat party!

FACT: Recent elections that featured a Black Democrat candidate indicated that what Democrats say (polling) and what they do(actual vote count)is two different things.
This is why Obama will need at least a 10 point lead heading into the election.
Democrats racist? How can you argue the facts?

There is nothing new about Obama or his policies. If you are looking for a good book that goes into detail about his plan, try this one written 150 years ago:
The Communist Manifesto by Karl Marx
Most liberals find this an excellent read.

The GOP caused the problem, and now they are blocking a solution. McCain's chances are falling like the markets.

Well, duuuhhh...
Wait until the military absentee ballots come in. McCain will whoop Obama...that is unless Obama's goon squad wants to suppress the military vote like Gore did in 2000.

Well, duuuhhh...
Military absentee ballots will come in strong for Obama. Obama will whoop McCain...that is unless McCain's goon squad tries to cage overseas servicement in African American neighborhoods - like Bush did in 2004.

ACORN TRYING TO REGISTER ILLEGAL VOTERS & DOUBLE VOTES?
NY POST SHOWS RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN OBAMA & ACORN.
MORE "DIRTY" RELATIONSHIP LIKE JEREMIAH WRIGHT, TERRORIST AYERS, ECT.. FOR OBAMA.
DOES NOT LOOK GOOD FOR HIM.

Got mine, today!
Obama's lack of leadership on the bailout package will show up on November 4th. He pompously phoned Pelosi, Reid, and Paulson while ignoring almost ALL House Dems and GOPers. That's LOSERSHIP, not leadership.
That Losership is why Obama will lose on November 4th.
