No Jeb, but Jon Voight to hit Florida party
Gov. Jeb Bush left. However, the Buzz is that Jon Voight may make an appearance at the big after-convention party sponsored by Disney for Florida delegates at the John J. Hill Library in St. Paul.
Florida delegates say their celebrity sightings have mostly been high profile politicians. The delegation is seated very close to former President George H. W. Bush. And they've seen a couple of big-name journalists like NBC's Andrea Mitchell, NBC's Chuck Todd. Another interesting tidbit: Tom Brokaw wears white socks with his brown dress shoes, noted Tennessee delegate Jimmy Eldridge, a state house member from Jackson, Tenn.

The WaPo is now reporting that Sarah Palin and her husband were part owners of a business that was shut down by the state for noncompliance with state regulations:
State records show the business ran into trouble with Alaska's division of corporations business and professional licensing after Palin became governor of the state in 2006.
A Feb. 11, 2007 letter to the governor's business partner advises that the car wash had "not filed its biennial report and/or paid its biennial fees," which were more than a year overdue.
The warning letter was written on state letterhead, which carried Palin's name at the top, next to the state seal.
On April 3, 2007, the state went further and issued a "certificate of involuntary dissolution" because of the car wash's failure to file its report and pay state licensing fees.
How can this woman be trusted to run the U.S. government if she can't even run a carwash in Anchorage with plenty of help?

Standing room only in Minneapolis-Saint Paul's convention center
& not full of celebrities & Germans either making it a hollywood movie set.

Why does Lieberman say he is a democrat when he is a libertarian.
Posted by: | September 02, 2008 at 10:48 PM
Nancy Pelosi & the Democratic led Congress has the lowest approval rating ever in U.S. History.
9% approval
Pres. Bush has almost 4 times higher.

Lieberman is not a libertarian, lol

Why does Joe Lieberman hate America?

I admit it. Mccain was right to pass Lieberman over. He really looks out of place.

That was a Home-run tonight for the John McCain. Pure red meat stuff.
Fred Thompson & Joe Lieberman was absolutely amazing.

Pretty much tonight's convention message to the American people:
OBAMA IS A WUSS WITH NO EXPERIENCE.
MCCAIN IS AN AMERICAN HERO READY TO LEAD
Posted by: | September 02, 2008 at 11:08 PM
This is the worst convention ever.
All that money for corporate parties and they've gotta rent out a glorified bingo hall?
Posted by: | September 02, 2008 at 11:15 PM
McCain does not need fireworks or pyrotechnics or a stadium full of Germans or celebrities to fake his image.
McCain actually has the credentials and leadership.
COUNTRY FIRST!!
Posted by: | September 02, 2008 at 11:23 PM
Fred Thompson, what can I say, where was this Fred Thompson months ago? I think he gave the BEST speech ever. Liberman was a yawn but history making.
11:15,hummmmm.... guess you didn't see that ABC report on the Dems and their 'parties', guess the other MSM wasn't paying attention. Now, THERE is a shocker.

OBAMA = BABY KILLER
Posted by: | September 02, 2008 at 11:28 PM
ABC, NBC, CBS
all did not cover the whole Thompson or Lieberman speeches.
Mainstream media bias. They will only help McCain because Americans know in this internet media age
Posted by: | September 02, 2008 at 11:43 PM
Fred Thompson was on fire tonight.
He pretty much sliced & diced the junior Senator Obama and tossed him in the garbage.

John McCain makes me proud to be an American.
Barack Obama & his surrogates tries to make me hate America.
Posted by: | September 03, 2008 at 12:01 AM
If John McCain wants voters to conclude, as he argues, that he has more independence and experience and better judgment than Barack Obama, he made a bad start by choosing Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska.
To us, it says the opposite. Mr. McCain’s snap choice of Ms. Palin reflects his impulsive streak: a wild play that he made after conservative activists warned him that he would face an all-out revolt in the party if he chose who he really wanted — Senator Joseph Lieberman of Connecticut.
For Mr. McCain to go on claiming that Mr. Obama has too little experience to be president after almost three years in the United States Senate is laughable now that he has announced that someone with no national or foreign policy experience is qualified to replace him, if necessary.
Mr. McCain’s hurdles are substantial. To start, he has to overcome Mr. Bush’s record of failures. (The president addressed the convention Tuesday night and now, McCain strategists fervently hope, will retire quietly to the Rose Garden.) That record includes the disastrous war in Iraq, a ballooning deficit, the mortgage crisis — and the list goes on.
To address those many problems, this country needs a leader with sound judgment and strong leadership skills. Choosing Ms. Palin raises serious questions about Mr. McCain’s qualifications.

Talk about yawn inducing. I check in to see the latest spin about that other convention, and I find the "All McToady Channel" here. Continuous posting under a dozen different IDs, the orignal "Liar for Hire" a Majority of 1 who's very existence exposes the fear in the GOP base. The gravy train comes to an end in 2008, little boys, we're taking the country back from you corporatists!

11:46, Don't forget Lieberman was talking about Israel.

SUBSCRIBER & STOCK DROPPING LIKE A ROCK

Cut and pasting the NY Times? Now, there is an unbiased news source. 3 years in the Senate? He only worked 143 days before running for President. He is an excellent campaigner, but NO real life experience other than giving good speeches.
Fred Thompson's speech was a home run! This conservative is fired up!

10:16 has clearly never run a business nor even understands the terminology associated.
Just because someone is a part-owener, does not make them management.
At one time I owned 7.3654 shares in Braniff Airlines. That made me a part-owner. But am I to blame for the company's failure?
the straw grasping continues....
