THE Next President of the great USA.

No we're not.
Posted by: | September 23, 2008 at 02:08 PM
who said this?...
"Reagan’s central insight — that the liberal welfare state had grown complacent and overly bureaucratic, with Democratic policy makers more obsessed with slicing the economic pie than with growing that pie — contained a good deal of truth.”

Where? I don't see Hillary.
No way I'll vote for Obama.
Posted by: | September 23, 2008 at 02:13 PM
Thank goodness President Obama is in town, the GOP has had 8 years to ruin this country and our economy. I pray the next eight years will be enough to bring us back from the abyss. Go Barack Obama!

USA went to heck in a handbasket when Pelosi, Reid, and Obama came to power. Their approval rating shows that the American people know this to be true.
Obama and the Pelosi-Reid Do Nothing Congress will get a rude awakening in November.

Obama/Biden offers a new direction and hope for our future.
McCain/Palin offers a senile, old warmongering adulterer… and an un-qualified, adulteress milfwannabe – both of which think the Constitution is their morning turtle hatching!

I don't care if he's in FL - I just don't want him in D.C. - then again, I don't want McCain there either. It's been said over and over (to death!) that "this is such a crucial election". It's cruical mostly because we have 2 of scariest men in America to choose from. Vote Indpendent - anyone but either of these two.

Is he not WHITE ENOUGH TO VOTE FOR?

No, that quote at 2:09 came from Barack Obama
Posted by: | September 23, 2008 at 02:24 PM
2:18 is right! Dubya and Dickey have done a heckofa job! Our economy is thriving like never before, we're loved throughout the world, our Constitution is stronger than ever, there have been no disastrous events whatsoever, and no one has ever lost their home or job!
DwizzleDwazzelDwizzleDwumb… time for this one to come home!

Obama/Biden ’08! “Giving America Back to its Owners”
McCain/Palin ’08! “Continuing the Destruction of this Great Nation”
Any Questions?
Posted by: | September 23, 2008 at 02:27 PM
2:24 - No, he isn't experienced enough for me to vote for and since he can only vote "present" when faced with difficult issues he scares me. That and the fact that he didn't notice that for over 20 years he sat in a church where his Pastor called for the destruction of the United States, and the death of "white devils" and Jews and Obama never "heard" it.

Despite what some seem to believe, the Democrats may have eeked out a majority in 2006, but with the President and Republicans determined to not let them succeed, they have been forced to back down on some issues. What we need is a super majority of 60 in the Senate and a veto proof House. Maybe then something will be accomplished.
Personally I think that Bush and Cheney should have been impeached, convicted, and removed from office years ago. It may be too late now since I suspect they will all get pardons as they leave office on January 20th.
Posted by: SharC | September 23, 2008 at 02:28 PM
Are some of you forgetting that the Democrats are in the majority in our legislative branch? That's right! That is where the laws get passed and then sent to the President for his signature. The President can exercise his line item veto power.
The Democrats . . . again the problem.

Idiots who think that the Dems are responsible for this mess must be drunk on either RUSH punch, Hannity mixer, or the conservative ALE served daily on AM radio. The most divisive and disinformation delivering campaign since Nazi Germany airwaves went off the air.

So funny when the Dems have no arguement that they call names, attack, and divert.
Pelosi-Reid and Obama have run the worst Congress in history.
The DEMS need to go and it starts this November.

Pardons my butt. I'm a vet. Most of us have lost friends and have friends injured for life. Young guys getting ready to follow us into combat (for what) so that when they came back they can also follow us into foreclosure, bankruptcy, and layoffs. 401k's & roths +10 years old look like we started them yesterday. This guy has been there for 26 years but now he's going to change things. It's funny he would even say that or is it funny that some people believe him. If it isn't Obama this country will fall. My Grandparents would probably say that in order for it to rise again it must fall. Obama or bust, oh sorry, I'm already busted.

I pray, for my country's sake, that Obama just doesn't quit when he sees the work he is in for trying to fix the US after 8 years of incompetence and illegal rule. Our only saving grace is we didn't elect Bush. He was annointed and appointed by the so-called "Supreme" Court. There is still time for impeachement!

GT, Obama bankrupted the "foundation" he ran with Bill Ayers and his Campaign is bleeding money.
All he wants to do is spend, spend, spend.
No way, No how, Nobama running this country.

What's that message on the side of his plane? He's looking for spare change? He says that a LOT.

Dubya, Dickey, and McSame bankrupted America
All they want to do is send more young American men and women to their death for corporate profit and daddys revenge.

Please don't send off the cuff comments. Pseudo news networks are very entertaining to listen to and that is evident by their success. However, we can all look-up accurate information without going to the nearest university library these days. These guys are politicians they will both be asking for money all the time that's how they continue to run their businesses. Obama is just very good at it, thus he has raised more money which gives him more spending power. I wish that I could afford to give to either but I can't. Unlit recently I wouldn’t have been capable of giving to McCain but he has started to take money from the small guys. This I like because those big guys that have been giving to him will call those favors in sometime.

Sorry, for all the writing mistakes. Trying to do homework & keep-up with comments at same time. The United States of America is great, right. We can all sit & argue our points without worrying that our emails, phones, mail & stuff are being monitored. We can play cards with some of the same guys we played cards with in the barracks (dorms). It is a little different now because one of us has that prosthetic that can’t hold the cards well. So we have to sit back not to see the cards (sorry bro). My opinion, “Go Obama” because it can get worse & without him it will.
Posted by: GT | September 23, 2008 at 04:11 PM
how come none of the Republicians have had Bush endorse them, huh
Posted by: McLame | September 23, 2008 at 04:11 PM
Laughable, GT, You can raise all the money in the world, when you spend more, you go broke.
The nation is going broke and Obama wants to add programs that will add TRILLIONs of dollars to the expense side of the balance sheet.
USA needs McCain in office to keep taxes down and CUT spending and government.
McCain Palin are US

yep,we do need a President that is willing to keep pumping billions into the Iraq war, that billions that could be spent here,-------
Posted by: McLame | September 23, 2008 at 04:17 PM
Fact McCain's programs will cost MORE than Obama's and he will ask your grandkids to pay it back. Plus, he owes Big Oil and all those other corporate donors A LOT OF FAVORS for filling his empty campaign chests. Vote for McCain and explain to your kids why you sold them down the river for an tiny tax break.
Posted by: McCain Palin = tax and bail Republicans | September 23, 2008 at 04:19 PM
Whatever is left of the economy after the current round of crisis interventions by the Fed could go down the drain if Obama is elected and carries out his plans for sharp increases in taxation.
Even if Obama does not understand the linkage, most Americans do and will turn sharply against Obama's tax plans if McCain hammers away at the risk they pose for us all.
During the Great Depression, Congress raised taxes sharply in the Revenue Act of 1932. The top rate went from 25 percent to 63 percent. As a result, the real GDP dropped by 13.3 percent, and unemployment rose from 15.9 percent to 23.6 percent.
In 1990, Bush-41 famously broke his "Read my lips — no new taxes" pledge of the 1988 campaign and raised the federal gasoline tax, federal excise taxes, and imposed 10 percent surtax on the top income bracket, raising its taxes to 31 percent. The recession that followed in 1991-1992 cost him re-election.
It is obvious that increasing capital gains taxes by a minimum of one-third and possibly doubling them, both of which Obama has proposed during his campaign, would send a clear signal to investors to keep their money under the mattress.
Who would buy stock now knowing that the tax on any profits is going to go up sharply if Obama becomes president?
Look at what happened just last year in Michigan. Democratic Gov. Jennifer Granholm raised taxes on almost everything in 2007. Income taxes shot up 11.5 percent and the state's 6 percent sales tax was expanded to dozens of new services like investment advice, janitorial services, landscaping, ski lifts, carpet cleaning, and tanning.
The $1.75 billion tax package shook the economy to its foundations. Michigan became the only one of the 50 states with a shrinking gross domestic product (GDP). The value of all goods and services produced in the state fell by .5 percent while the national GDP rose by 3.4 percent. The state fell from 23rd in GDP to 35th. Taxes caused a disaster.
In a strong economy, Obama's tax hikes would raise questions. In a weak economy, they portend a catastrophe. It would be like bleeding a sick patient, the medicine of 200 years ago, depriving him of blood even as he needs more not less circulating through his arteries.

Obama can't run anything without bankrupting it and the Cult has no case but to say, "I know you are but, what am I".
Par for the course for Dems...
it's why the Pelosi Reid Dem Do Nothing Congress and Obama will get a rude awakening in November.
Posted by: Obama and Pelosi Reid = Do Nothings but Spend | September 23, 2008 at 04:36 PM
McCain Palin are US. Simple math if you raised 100 a month for 10 months you spent 90 a month for 6 months then you picked-up your spending in the 7th month to 100 that means that you can now spent 130 a month for the last 3 months & you didn’t go over or loss money. Obama can’t save the money for the next election right, he’s got to spend now. Why would McCain possibly think of doing that now? That guy is rich, his wife is rich, and the system has worked for the McCain’s for over 26 years. Would you change things with your company if it was doing as well? It is odd how some people will hold onto a political party even when things are going poorly. I can understand why some people do it for power and/or monetary gain but I have changed parties twice and would not hesitate to do it again should the need arrive. Believe it not I still have relatives that are Republicans because Lincoln freed the slaves and some that are Demarcates because they like Kennedy & Martin Luther King. It has really been great to discussing views with you all but I have to take a break & get the kids from school. Hope to read your post soon. GT.
