Poll: McCain slipping in Florida

Rasmussen newest robo poll finds that John McCain's lead over Barack Obama in Florida has dropped from 5 points to 1 point - 48 to 47 percent - in three days. "McCain leads 78 percent to 19 percent among politically conservative Florida voters while Obama leads 89 percent to 8 percent among political liberals. Obama also holds a 17-point advantage among self-described political moderates while McCain benefits from the fact that there are more conservative voters than liberals."

The RealClearPolitics average today has McCain up by 1.6 percentage points in Florida. In the 10 Florida polls since Sept. 11 Obama has been up in Florida once and tied twice.

Charlie Crist was rated good or excellent by 54 percent of voters.

Between the slipping polls and the organization that Obama has in Florida, McCain better be ready to pump a pretty penny into Florida to have any chance of being President.

And yet, the only pollster to correctly predict the 2004 election, John Zogby, predicts that McCain will win in a landslide.
