McCain's Florida camp getting Michigan help
Mike Grissom to the rescue.
Mike who? He may not be well known in Florida but Grissom is on his way down following the McCain campaign's decision to withdraw from Michigan.
Grissom had been the Republican National Committee's "Victory" director in the Great Lakes State. Previously he was the Victory director in Kentucky and headed up the famous 72-hour effort in Maryland.
His Florida connection is Rep. Ric Keller of Orlando, according to bio information listed on various Web sites.

i think Florida is pretty safe considering Gov Crist will likely campaign for McCain hard in the final 2 weeks.
I would rather they sent him to Virginia or Colorado.
Win the 2004 states & McCain win the election.

internal data show Florida is still in McCain's column
Posted by: | October 07, 2008 at 08:22 PM
Oh Lord Please tell us that Mike will fire Arlene as his first act!
Posted by: | October 07, 2008 at 08:31 PM
McCain is a scrumbag just like his little McToady minions and their boss Karl Rove.

Mccain and Palin have no shame. They have shown the hateful and dishonest leadership they provide. They are a disgrace to republicans, and they deserve no respect. Barack Obama will win because is better than that and better than them. He is change and our hope for the future. Mccain at age 72 needs to retire to Arizona where he can share time between his seven houses. He has no honor left and it makes me very sad that he has morphed into a sleaze machine.

8:22- clearly you haven't seen the internal data.
Posted by: | October 07, 2008 at 08:43 PM
I'm watching a movie tonight. My vote is Obama. I dont care what he does at the debates, he could vomit on stage. Mccain has no character left to be our president. He is a devisive person and a dishonest person. I want something else.
Posted by: Mr Ed | October 07, 2008 at 08:44 PM
I already voted for McCain. I don't need to watch.
The silent majority.

08:31pm, after firing Arlene he needs to apologize to Governor Crist, Chairman Greer and the whole Crist team in Florida for the way the McCain campaign has treated the very people who made McCain the nominee.
Posted by: | October 07, 2008 at 09:55 PM
Im putting odds on, That RPOF Chairman Jim Greer kicks out Arlene, Buzz and the whole Dam nasty McCain bunch out of the RPOF building HQ, no more then 30 min after the last Poll close's on Nov 4th while chanting, Charlie Crist, Charlie Crist !!!!!.
Posted by: Crist for President | October 07, 2008 at 10:06 PM
What's that smell ?, It's the last bridge that Arlene has burned in Florida. Did Greer ever get on the Palin Plane or did Arlene make the wise decision to keep the state Party chairman off of a key State like Florida.
Posted by: Tipper | October 07, 2008 at 10:13 PM
and he did such a good job in Michigan.
Posted by: | October 07, 2008 at 10:14 PM
Crist should step in and put Lemieux or Greer or both in charge of the Mccain campaign in Florida. This race is going down the tubes.
Posted by: | October 07, 2008 at 10:23 PM
The only smell is that of Greer burning his relationship with the RNC and the National McCain campaign. They think he is a joke running around campaigning for RNC Chairman, bad mouthing the campaign and being completely disloyal. Most people in Tallahassee and around the state roll their eyes and run when he walks into a room. He is considered a JOKE. Charlie do yourself a favor and get rid of this guy.
Posted by: | October 07, 2008 at 11:24 PM
If Greer and Charlie are so close why didn't the Governor speak up and demand that Greer be on that plane......hhhmmmmmm......maybe because the Governor doesn't care to have Greer glued to his side.
Posted by: | October 07, 2008 at 11:30 PM
Maybe they can send in some folks from Pennsylvania or Virginia?
Posted by: | October 07, 2008 at 11:50 PM
The famous 72hr effort in Maryland? Republicans have not won anything there in years so what made this famous, not losing by as much?
Posted by: | October 07, 2008 at 11:51 PM
11:24 pm, Hope Greer see's this, its all over for you and you Crist-Greer hater's on Nov 4th. Also my bet is Crist didn't want be on the plane for two day's with these loser's anymore then Greer did!
Posted by: | October 08, 2008 at 12:09 AM
11:24 and 11:30 is Arlene, No doubt!!!!! Bye Bye Nov 4th. Oh Mike also need's to apologize to Jim Rime's for how Arlene, Buzz boy and others have treated him and the RPOF staff like dirt. Lets hope the Chairman lets Rimes tell them to get out of the HQ( no need to pack will send your stuff to you).
Posted by: | October 08, 2008 at 12:17 AM
Well, Well eating there own. Hey Ive got money for Charlie's re-elect, Oh no, not anymore, Ballard just snatched it up for McCain. I love it!!!
Posted by: Tiny Tim | October 08, 2008 at 12:27 AM
LOL, now that's the way to get back on your feet in Florida John. Bring in the guy who completely failed at his job in another state to run a state that you can't win without.
Posted by: | October 08, 2008 at 04:05 AM
I bet they will be sending their people from Virginia, North Carolina, Ohio, Nevada, Colorado, New Mexico, Iowa, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire and Wisconsin soon too. There is really no more running in the battle ground states for Johnnie McSame and Suzie Zamboni. At this point they are just trying to keep traditionally Republican states in the Republican column and keep the embarrassment down. This race is over except counting the votes!!
Posted by: | October 08, 2008 at 04:09 AM
Wow!! They are not even confident they can cage enough voters and steal Florida this time.
Posted by: Ray | October 08, 2008 at 07:55 AM
This is hysterical. So, the Michigan team that couldn't win Michigan is coming to Florida to get things back on track???
LMAO!

it beats me, all of the money that comes from these appearences . they way the jobs are, they draw millions in every time they go out to speek. i guess americans aren't bad off as they say they are. millions going to each president hopeful
Posted by: jim | October 08, 2008 at 08:58 AM
I guess palin likes to run her mouth about b obama.if he did the same about palin, they would say it's unfair, he should talk about her troubles that she has in alaska , she is an mouth runner. half of the time can't get her facts straight or skirts around the question her and mccain are in the same boat, can't figure what they are going to do while president if elected.in the mean time soldiers are getting killed every day for what, he wants to win the war. no discrace over time to bring men/women back home and let them govern themselves

How could anyone want a President of the United States who doesn't even believe in the pledge of allegiance and no longer wears a flag pin. He doesn't wear the pin because he doesn't want to be perceived as taking sides. Sides?!? Hello, this is America... also, he states that there are a lot of people in the world to whom the American flag is a symbol of oppression. Well, you know what, why doesn't he leave the U.S. and take all his anti-american comrades with him and leave us alone.

From what I have seen the RPOF has done the ground work in creating various councils and coalitions of people willing to work on the common goal as well as putting more of their staff in the field. All the McCain camp had to do in Florida is tap into those resources since they were already limited to paid McCain staff. Instead of listening to what the ground troops were facing or how they see best to organize things in their region, it was the FL McCain staff way or the highway. What happened to all the fun? The Obama camp is letting their volunteers lead the way. Was it b/c that is what they were advised to do during their 2-day volunteer training?

How racism works--
What if John McCain were a former president of the Harvard Law Review? What if Barack Obama finished fifth from the bottom of his graduating class? What if McCain were still married to the first woman he said "I do" to? What if Obama were the candidate who left his first wife after she no longer measured up to his standards?
What if Michelle Obama were a wife who not only became addicted to pain killers, but acquired them illegally through her charitable organization? What if Cindy McCain graduated from Harvard? What if Obama were a member of the "Keating 5"? What if McCain was a charismatic, eloquent speaker?
If these questions reflected reality, do you really believe the election numbers would be as close as they are?
This is what racism does: When there is a color difference, it covers up, rationalizes and minimizes positive qualities in one candidate and emphasizes negative qualities in another.

I don't know whether the Florida GOP should be glad for the help from the Michigan staffers who screwed up so badly there that they gave up with 30 days left, or if they should be offended to think that they have almost screwed up McCain's campaign here where he basically won the Republican nomination and Obama lost nearly 2 to 1 in the primary.

Neither candidate has the answers to this crisis! Hillary attempted to tell America the TRUTH about Obama (& Fox has also)1+ yrs ago. Since you only listen to mainstream media you would not know what Palin has been stating is NOT NEW information. She is not making these statements out of desperation she wants AMERICANS TO KNOW THE TRUTH ABOUT Obama & what he & his radical associates have planned for the U.S.! In deciding who to vote for it's "the lesser of 2 evils." I personally will NEVER vote to put a radical muslim in OUR White House. I am proud to be a civilian gvt contractor working w/CENTCOM & our troops - God Bless America NOT GOD D*MN AMERICA as Rev. Wright states!
