Yeeeeeee Haw!
Posted by: | October 01, 2008 at 09:05 AM
Why, oh why, did the Florida Democrats not field more candidates for Legislature this year?
What's the good of all these new registrations is they don't have anyone to vote for at the State level?
Posted by: | October 01, 2008 at 09:06 AM
So when is McCain pulling out of Florida?
Posted by: | October 01, 2008 at 09:08 AM
Adam - are going to write this week about how McCain is starting to pull out of our state?
Posted by: | October 01, 2008 at 09:08 AM
Katy, if it wouldn't trouble too much, would you be so kind as to, um, bar that door. Yes that one. Now!
Posted by: | October 01, 2008 at 09:09 AM
USA is waking up from the Republican Nightmare and finally coming to our senses!
Posted by: ObamaO8 | October 01, 2008 at 09:11 AM
If it keeps going this direction, Obama will pull out of the state. I just cannot believe that Palin with her down home roots, appealing story and absolutely gorgeous family isn't bring more support to the ticket. It's almost as if people actually care about the person who is just a heartbeat away from the presidency.

Bleat!
Posted by: Please, McToady tell me the story again about how McCain won the debate | October 01, 2008 at 09:14 AM
I'm a Republican. McCain is a fool. His latest trick of staying in Washington to 'resolve the crisis' and avoid the debate, and then immediately reversing himself, was one of the most boneheaded and pathetic campaign moves of the last 20 years.
Posted by: | October 01, 2008 at 09:20 AM
It's very difficult to cheat when the poll numbers are not close. With a difference of 8 points, nobody is going to sign off on an unexpected GOP victory of 500 votes. (even the corrupt Supreme Court.)
Posted by: Hard to cheat | October 01, 2008 at 09:23 AM
These polls don't know what they are talking about. After all, they haven't taken into account the voter caging efforts and the "no match law" that will be used by Republicans to make sure that tens of thousands of likely Democratic voters won't be allowed to cast ballots. The press still hasn't held them accountable for their "purges" in 2000.
Posted by: | October 01, 2008 at 09:25 AM
Bo-ya-ka-sha. Respekt.
Posted by: | October 01, 2008 at 09:26 AM
McCain seriously needs to 'unsuspend' his campaign and get back to work. This is unacceptable -- there are too many retards and pigheaded people here for this to go to a progressive democrat.
Posted by: | October 01, 2008 at 09:27 AM
Thanks for nothing McCain for picking that ditzy Sarah "Baracuda" as your VP. Who the &%$# uses a nickname like "baracuda" when running for VP of the USA. Those CBS Katie Couric interviews made me cringe, please get Sara Palin of the ticket NOW!
Posted by: | October 01, 2008 at 09:40 AM
Desperate times call for Desperate measures... Please keep an eye out at the polls for any and all forms of voter intimidation. If you are told you are not allowed to vote, for any reason. Ask for a "Provisional Ballot" and do not leave with out casting your vote. The votes cannot be certified until all "Provisional Ballots" have been resolved and either counted or discounted!
Again... Please watch for Police presence, not only at the polls, but in the surronding areas. There is a law that forbids Law Enforcement Check Points on Election Day.
It is "Time To Take Back America" for the People!

The VP debate moderator has just written a pro Obama book. W.T.F. I'm sick of having a candidate shoved down my throat by the media.
What's next, young democrats threatening older voters at the poll? I guess Howard Dean got his wish, lots of Gestapo boots on the ground.
Posted by: | October 01, 2008 at 10:09 AM
Somewhere, Marie, the Flame of Florida, is smiling.
Posted by: | October 01, 2008 at 10:20 AM
This is NOT a pro-Obama book. As much as you desperatly try to "SPIN" it as such.
Gwen Ifill, of the Public Broadcasting Service program called “Washington Week,” is promoting:
“The Breakthrough,” in which she argues the “Black political structure” of the civil rights movement is giving way to men and women who have benefited from those struggles over racial equality.
It is about time!

I'm a lifelong Republican. I am absolutely disgusted in the decline of the GOP. Since when is hatred and bigotry a foundation of our party? Since when have we forgotten about our veterans? Since when have we forgotten about the middle class and seniors?
This is not the Reagan GOP that lead this country with respect and authority. Bush has taken this country down the tubes. McCain, with his same agenda, will finish us off for the Chinese to feast upon.
It is further insulting that they nominate a complete invalid like Sarah Palin. I don't know how any Republican can talk their way into justifying her candidacy.

10:29 - the same type of voter that can justify Obama's "experience" for the job.
We are screwed either way.

We can't slack off, let's keep the heat on McLame.
I'm a Republican, and I'd like to see all Republicans go with Obama.
If it's not possible to convince your fellow Republicans to go with Obama, encourage them to vote for a third party candidate.

Pointless and Desperate!
Posted by: TheMcToadyForgotToTakeHisMedsMoronicPostOfTheDay | October 01, 2008 at 10:36 AM
McCain squandered the considerable credibility he had when he picked Palin. Many top CEOs would not have hired her. Why would McCain choose her as VP?
Not a respectable decision.
Posted by: | October 01, 2008 at 10:36 AM
10:30 - I am a fan of Colin Powell. I was hoping he would be our first black President. He has an incredible knowledge of world affairs being Secretary of State. He is a respectable figure that could bring our nation back to greatness.
Unfortunately, he became completely disenchanted with Bush and gave up being in his cabinet. We can't go four more years of the same Bush policies.
Posted by: | October 01, 2008 at 10:40 AM
Obama dropped 5 points in today's ABC/Washington Post poll, so things are still volatile out there.
Posted by: Tom | October 01, 2008 at 10:42 AM
Right about now the call should not be for Palin to fall off of the ticket it should be for McCain to. He is about to suffer the same fate Bob Dole did. Mitt Romney is looking a lot better right about now. Of course our opportunistic governor and the state party hacks just had to jump on the McCain bandwagon like it was a lifetime of influence opportunity. Yea, it will be now. You will be known as part of the biggest loss in GOP history.
Posted by: | October 01, 2008 at 10:48 AM
Republicans, don't fret. Quinnipiac University is consistently the worst polling data. Rasmussen, of rasmussenreports.com and Zogby are the only two worth looking at. Rasmussen has nailed the last three elections dead on. Zogby is always good. They have the race much tighter.
Posted by: Robert | October 01, 2008 at 10:49 AM
About time this country wakes up! Considering the last 8 years it is surprising that it is not a landslide.
Although who wants to inherit the problems that have been created. Barack will restore the integrity and respect of this country at home and abroad. He is a so called liberal elite which means he actually thinks before reacting to situations. Not a bad trait to have in a President!
Posted by: ADS | October 01, 2008 at 10:50 AM
But if Sarah doesn't go to Washington, who's gonna watch Russia for us?
Posted by: Kat | October 01, 2008 at 10:51 AM
As the Obama Toad told all of us just a few weeks ago "polls mean nothing"!
I'm not discouraged by the polls. In this world, things can change in a day...Repoublicans just have to push the message and stay strong. Listen I just did an online poll for Zogby. You can sign up to be on their list and they will send you an email to fill out their polling questions. I encourage you to sign up. I have a feeling that this is what has happened in the Obama camp. I was able to complete the polling more than once, but didn't.
Posted by: | October 01, 2008 at 10:52 AM
10:42
The only thing Volatile is the stock market and Sarah Palin's brain waves.
Posted by: Dres | October 01, 2008 at 10:54 AM
is never right. go look at history. if Q had ever been right, then Gore would be President; Kerry would be President; Jim Davis would be governor; etc. etc. etc.
Posted by: the Q poll | October 01, 2008 at 10:54 AM
Obama should be up by 15 points. If 5-6 points is the polling margin by Election Day, he will not win! He better turn up the heat and have a larger margin by the end of this month. If he starts falling back, he's in trouble.
Posted by: | October 01, 2008 at 10:54 AM
If Biden can't win the Thursday debate with a black, female moderator who is writing a book about Obama and has made several remarks critical of Palin, then Obama is in even more trouble!!!

Shades of the German youth movement under Hitler. This is really disgusting. Wait until the veterans and Jewish community see this video.

Forget it. America is over. Obama wins, we turn into the next Soviet Union. At least there's always American Idol.
Posted by: Alex | October 01, 2008 at 10:59 AM
Oh, thank God we've got our "ace in the hole," Nancy Pelosi! Poor Obama is going to get sucked into the government machine, he'll be chewed up, and spit out. We, ugly Americans, are so eager for change, that we cannot hear anything else. Buena suerte, Obama~

I am heartened by this poll, but not necessarily convinced it is fully accurate. Dems talk, but Republicans historically do a much better job of actually getting to the polls than Dems do.
My wife, a Republican, will be voting for Obama - the first Dem she has ever voted for. Same with her parents - hard core conservatives, who disagree with many of Obama's positions - especially abortion. But, they have come to the conclusion that the country is headed in the wrong direction and that Obama is better suited to lead us toward a middle ground. As a Dem, I am happy to see those Rep votes and hope the tide continues.

10:52 - I'm not worried about the polls. These things change with a blink of the eye.
I am worried about who is on our ticket. If you remember back in the GOP primaries, McCain was an afterthought. He snuck his way into the nomination.
His actions since nominating Palin has been extremely erratic. He hasn't shown any kind of the leadership qualities the nation has been looking for.
The best scenario is for Palin to quit for family reasons. We get Colin Powell to become VP. How does that sound???
Posted by: | October 01, 2008 at 11:01 AM
Obama campaign is trying to shut down free speech. They can't suceed. Every time they shut this video down, it comes up in five more locations. The most revealing 10 minutes you will ever see!!!

Dems: Pelosi & Frank have proven themselves dangerously incompetent. This may be the worst Congress in the history of the US!
Obama has done absolutely nothing about it. He avoids tough issues and votes "present" on difficult decisions. Change won't come from Obama - just lots of talk.
Posted by: Tuck | October 01, 2008 at 11:12 AM
It looks like the McToady is back after filling out his Zogby poll several times. I'd sign up myself, but I'm afraid Zogby is a known GOP tool like Rasmussen.
Posted by: | October 01, 2008 at 11:12 AM
Obama needs just one more percent in his favor to make up for the 30% of Democrats that refuse to vote for a black man.
It's hard to believe that the racists in the Democrat Party will actually prevent this country from having our 2nd Black President.
Maybe the Democrats should update their slogan to be:
He's only half Black!
Posted by: | October 01, 2008 at 11:17 AM
The Democrat Congress approval ratings just came in:
10%
Spin that Gulpers.
Posted by: | October 01, 2008 at 11:18 AM
11:17, could you direct me where you found that 30% of Democrats won't vote for Obama because he's black.
I think you're full of $h!t but I'll take a look at your source if you can provide it.
Posted by: Tom | October 01, 2008 at 11:19 AM
So Obama, with a track record as a community agitator to promote chaos and the agenda of left over civil rights activists and hate-mongers, is properly suited to lead this country? I am embarresed that he actually has ANY support to represent this, the greatest country on earth.
