Will Crist buy into a cap-and-trade program?
Gov. Charlie Crist's Climate Action Team begins holding its final meetings in Tallahassee today, and on the agenda is a recommendation that Florida impose a carbon cap-and-trade program -- either on just power plants like New York and other Northern states, or on power plants, cars, trucks and other sources of greenhouse gases, like California and other Western states. I wonder how this would play into Chuck's Big Sugar bailout, which we all know is an attempt to turn the Everglades Restoration into Florida Biofuel Central?

He better not support cap and trade if he wants Florida to remain in business. Drive in tourism will fall off a cliff with the increased cost cap and trade will bring to the average consumer. Are we in a boom period now with $3.50 to $4.00 gas? Then imagine what $4.50 to $5.00 gas and higher consumer costs in every other area will bring.
