Listen to Chris Rock at Tampa Obama rally
TAMPA -- (Listen here ) Comedian Chris Rock took the stage this afternoon and told a crowd of more than 1,000 at a College Hill little league field to go vote for Sen. Barack Obama. Voters should choose a candidate they can relate to, who can see they're poor and understand, he said.
"When you go to somebody for help you want somebody who can relate to what you have to say. Like if I have problems getting laid, I wouldn't call Brad Pitt cuz he wouldn't know what I was talking about."
He joked that on Halloween, he took his kids trick-or-treating to all of Sen. John McCain's houses. "There was way too many houses," he said, as the crowd laughed. "...McCain was on MTV's Cribs 15 times. This is not the guy you want to be president."
"McCain probably had financial problems too, but we can't all do what he did. We can't all dump our first wife, marry a rich one and have all our bills paid."
On getting out the vote: "Get your retarded uncle. Get him to vote. Anybody you know with an arm, bring him down."

Islamism
Religious and cultural manifestation of the struggle of oppressed minorities in Third World countries against white imperialists, reactionary Christians, and Zionist colonialists. Islamism's professed disdain for the Western lifestyle, its intolerance towards the bourgeois morals are of vital importance for the international class struggle and have our full-hearted support and cooperation. We will be able to sort our philosophical differences after the Western civilization collapses. We think

I was always afraid to laugh at "retard" jokes. My mother would always say, I wouldn't laugh until I am done having all of my children.

Wise advice from your mother. Go Obama!

Developmentally disabled people should not be the butt of jokes. That is really mean.

"I know you work hard for your money, but don't be so greedy! There are thousands of illegal aliens that need help, including MY Aunt. Living here illegally. Living in taxpayer funded public housing. She needs help! Food stamps and a stipend isn't enough! My Aunt is YOUR responsibility!!!Under my income redistribution plan, your income can be redistributed to her!
I'm Barak Hussein Obama and I APPROVE this message!!!!"

Chris Rock is a racist pig.

Hey, Islamism guy -- nice try at scaring all voters away from Barack. I'll bet you dollars to donuts that you're not even a Muslim. Your rhetoric sounds communist and not Islamist -- and the Mujahadeen in Afghanistan will tell you that there is a difference.
But, just in case, what are the five pillars of Islam? I bet you don't know. Why? Because you are not a Muslim but a McCain supporter parading as one.
Nice try. Why don't you slither back under the rock that you came from and quit scaring the voters?

what an idiot. people should learn to think for themselves and not vote based on what some hollywood star thinks. If you really like candiate joe smith, vote for them because you believe they will make a difference. Don't vote for them because some high school drop out actress thinks they are neat and not george bush.

so, let me get this straight- a black man with a VULGAR mouth says obscene things about a man who has stood up for his country winning big YUCKS from the Obama supporters while the black aunt is thrown under the bus with her $265 back in her hands-spreading the wealth to her other illegal relatives that her "nephew"
will say he doesn't know-wow, i guess this is not about race. it just looks and smells like race.

Chris Rock is one of America's greatest living social commentators.

Stephanie, what does this have to do with race? You see a black man and call "race"? We're turning the page on that nonsense.

The fact that people take Chris Rock seriously when deciding who to vote for is an indicator of how far American society has fallen.

I am so sick of hearing about the great war hero. My father was suffering from the effects of his heroism in WWII. He was in pain many years before McCain. My brother was in the first Iraq war. He has severe illness and depression. He is not the same man who proudly served his country. Now my son, an Army medic will proudly go serve his country. They and thousands and thousands of others have, are, and will serve. That does not make the qualified to be President of the PTA let alone this proud nation. If we could stop the fighting amongst ourselves and find out how we can proudly serve our nation, I think we would all be better off.

Where did all your sense of humors go?! Chris Rock is a Comedian! All you McSames are too much. You don't think anything about making black or queer jokes, all the sudden everything is serious! GW is laughing at your stupidity!

A wise holy man went to a village to preach. There villagers questioned him, "Why shud we believe you? There are many who came before you and said good things about their faith."
The holy man said "Do not believe what I tell you. Everyone has his/her own mind. You can make your own judgement.
If I tell u to steal, harm or kill others, do you think its right?
If I tell u to do charity, save life,do you think its right?
You decide yourselves.
Then the villagers ask him what is right and what is wrong?
He said "Right action is action which does not harm yourselves, others and the environment"
So Americans, do the right thing.
By the way the holy man was Buddha.

So, you people who don't like Chris Rock.. he has an opinion. He is entitled to express it. Just like Oprah was for Obama. And Colin Powell. And Reagan's chief of staff Ken Duberstein. We have free speech in this country.
So, when Joe the Plumber gets on a stage, hears someone say something inflammatory about Obama, agrees to it without knowing what he is saying and then repeats it on Fox News and EVEN the FOX News anchor Shepard Smith is offended by Joe the Plumber's moronic claims, you begrudge a comedian's right to stand on his soapbox? Chris Rock doesn't pretend to know the intricacies of policy. He is doing what he does. There are very offensive conservative commentators like Michael Savage and I don't see you saying they cross the line. It's all partisan for you. If Chuck Norris or Arnold Schwarzengger stump for McCain -- no matter what they say -- you don't care. But because Chris Rock has an opinion other than your one, you bash him.

The bottom line is: If BO was white, Hillary would be running against McCain.
Posted by: get-smart | November 02, 2008 at 07:02 AM
The bottom line is: If Hillary were a man or not related to a former President, or if that former President were not from the South, Hillary Clinton would not be the Senator from New York.
Not saying she didn't earn. Just saying that accidents of birth, gender discrimination, and nepotism abound in this race.

Christ Rock has a $10 mill home in Beverly Hills. Do ya think he will ever come back to College Hill again? No. He is being used and using you. Obama is not going to take care of his aunt in the projects or anyone else in projects. His dad's sister is living in hiding and cannot find a way out for goodness sake. Obama left his own family in the dark!

celebritards for Obama!

Barack Obama wrote that his father was gone by the time he was two years old. I doubt he even knew that his father's sister lived in the states. He might not have known she existed other than as a story told by his mother or grandmother if at all.
Right Wing radicals keep looking for something, anything to discredit Obama, but he and the voters will leave failed economic and political policies in the dust.
Cheney doesn't seem to understand that dog eat dog is not a philosophy it is cannibalism. Without a sense of community unless it is their narrow idea of community. Without the knowledge that united we are strong, divided we are vulnerable, and without the decency to admit that terrible blunders were made under the concept that being self-serving was the ultimate good and reflected natural forces, (some believe divine,) the right wing is unable to correct itself.
The right wing begins with a conclusion and then back fills with excuses until it finds one that sells and that is as deep as they go with foreign and domestic policy. Belligerence and buffoonary are not the keys to success, just ask Saddam Hussein.
Over fifty percent on Tuesday means that the majority of American voters reject the failed strategies and tactics of the stuck who lack creativity. If the right wing cannot steal or plagarize an idea they simply do not have one.

The Dems did not ask Chris Rock for his comments. The GOP has Joe the Plumber as a surrogate.

Americans!
Can't you all just take a breath and actually practise what you preach?
Freedom of speech, until it backfires and someone says something that is opposite of your own opinion - then you cut them down.
Sense of humour, McCain was on SNL for godsake and you have no worries, then a comedian, whose shtick was old when the new millenium hit, has told a joke that might offend McCain supporters and holy hell, it's on!
Best thing I saw all year, Tina Fey as Palin standing next to John McCain. Two opposing ideologies standing next to each other and not at each others throats....
If only your citizens could do that, the world could change....
The world wants Obama...the US will decide.
