Finally, a Democratic victory in the House

4387 House Democrats may be coming off a lackluster election but they scored today during the Miami-Dade delegation meeting.

Rep. Luis Garcia, D-Miami Beach, was elected vice chair over Republican Rep. Anitere Flores of Miami. The surprising 13-7 vote, triggered by a lack of GOP lawmakers at the meeting, puts Garcia in line to seek the chairmanship down the road.

For now, Rep. Juan Zapata will remain chairman. He was re-elected for a consecutive term.

this delegation is absolutely powerless. How can anyone mistake an organization with Zapata in teh chair as a legitimate one.

Maybe all the Miami GOP lawmakers were running on Cuban time to the meeting . . . and, thus, never made it!

Those wacky Dade County GOPers.

They act like a bunch of spoiled little brats who need to go stand in the corner.

has anybody looked at that stock from MD... other than Rep. Flores do any of the rest of them work, what a joke of a delegation. I'd bet Baker county with only Rep. Boyd has a more effective house delegation with more intergrity and member to member credibility.

cool!

Anitere for Governor!

Flores and Garcia are both good people. More interested in helping their districts than playing politics or footsies with their "colleagues."

Barack Obama is notoriously supportive of abortion in all of its vile forms. He has promised that "The first thing I'd do as President is sign the Freedom Of Choice Act." As we all know, FOCA would erase all existing bans on abortion, and worse, force all those whose religious convictions now prevent the government from making them participants in this heinous practice, to toe the murderous line. The repercussions of this would be disastrous, even to Americans allowed to be born, as explained by Bill Donahue of the Catholic League:

"[R]eligious liberty is enshrined in the First Amendment and cannot be trespassed upon lightly, and certainly not by abortion zealots. Those who support FOCA must realize that if Catholic hospitals are ever required to perform abortions, the bishops will close every one of them; no one would be hurt more than the poor."

9:14 I've heard that propaganda a hundred times now, and I still can't figure out what the heck you're talking about.

Ha Ha!

Next thing you know the local Dade county GOPers will be all up in arms about President-Elect Obama's picks for AG and White House Counsel.

News Flash****

The Dade County GOPers are all sore at the selection of Holder. Listen guys and gals, no one cares about Cuba.

Thank goodness adults are back in charge of the United States government and the feds will stop cow-towing to a small minority that has hijacked foreign policy.

Now that Marco is no longer in the House, Anitere can't even win over her colleagues in her own delegation. She must be feeling very lonely right about now.

Not as lonely as she will feel during election time next year!

If its such a bad job the why was Anitere Flores crying after she lost?
