Crist plan not enough, Democratic lawmaker says

State Rep. Scott Randolph, a second-term Democrat from Orlando, wants the governor's office to release a list of every bank that has agreed in writing to stop foreclosing on properties for the next 45 days. Randolph's office released a summary of an interview with WKMG in which he said the Crist plan is "rather vague promises made by unspecified lenders. Forty-five days is not a long enough moratorium; it doesn't include those families already in foreclosure; and today's press conference left Floridians wondering if their bank is even included in the offer."

"'Show Us the Details,'" Randolph's press release headlined. It also noted that the Crist plan only affects homeowners facing foreclosure from today (Dec. 1) forward.

Sure, it's free for everyone to default forever, courtesy of Scott Randolph (D-ACORN)

It's about time a Democratic lawmaker does something for real people instead of just Hannah Montana ticket-scalpers and baggy pants aficionados!

A better use of his office's power would be to put tighter controls on variable rate and ballooning mortgages. Alex Sink might have some ideas on how to handle that.

Andrew,
I thought he filed a bill that did that but got stonewalled by the R's.

What is Sink doing on this? You would think she would want to own a populist issue like this ahead of 2010.

For Democrats, it's NEVER enough...

Poor Charlie... a day late and a dollar short.

What action did Scott Randolph take before the press conference to get the ball rolling? Did he bring the players together? Did he roll out a plan?

It is very easy to criticize others.

Randolph, fish or cut bait!

Do something, don't just complain about others!

It's called HB 979.

Republicans decided to ignore the foreclosure crisis until it fell in their laps.

Even the Republican Governors in CA and in CT are doing more on this issue than Crist!
