RPOF gets new Hispanic outreach chief

Jim Greer today announced his appointment of Belinda Ortiz, who ran unsuccessfully against state Sen. Gary Siplin, to serve as Director of Hispanic Outreach and Deputy Director of the Minority Outreach and Coalitions Department.

“Hispanic voters in Florida are an important part of our party’s future success and with this appointment of Belinda Ortiz demonstrates that gaining the confidence and ultimately the Hispanic vote is a top priority,” said Greer. “Our emphasis over the last two years in promoting minority outreach has provided great benefit, and I am honored that Belinda is committed to serving our party as we continue this vital mission.”

Ortiz most recently served as president and chief executive officer for Zitro of Orlando Inc., a public relations and business development firm in Central Florida. She previously served as director of public policy for the Central Florida Hotel and Lodging Association (CFHLA).

She is solid and well respected. Congrats

Do good Belinda, we need you to do good.
Greer: You didn't invent Hispanic outreach, though it is apparent from your releases and screeches that you believe that you did. It was an ongoing effort for many years prior to your crawl out from under that rock. See: Jeb Bush and Al Cardenas, Jeanie Austin in the 80s. Shouldn't crow about your sterling effort the last two years, the scoreboard doesn't lie.

lesse how that works out with all the anti-immigtation (anti-latino, really) messages pouring out of the typical rednecked R's mouth, coupled with the long, slow, inevitable dying-off of the first generation of cuban refugees, leaving behind a much more
D-oriented cuban/latino population...

whaduthink

o, well....back to the drawing board...

Get over yourself, Greer. Why should the same silly give-them-a group-of-their-own nonsense which DIDN'T work fot the blacks, DIDN'T work for the women, suddenly work for the Hispanics?

No disrespect to the lady, but Greer is a traitor and needs to be sent packing.

What?! Greer forming a Hispanic group?

No hablo Ingles!

Jim, make sure you don't ask her to carry your bags - people might get the impression she's your house servant.

I thought Arleen was supposed to get that job? What gives!

please please please....make this idiot looser your National AND State leader. He is obviously so good he can do both. Get Sara "I can see Russia from my front porch" and Joe the Plumber as his sidekicks. I will contribute to the party to announce their victory in Penn., FL, Ohio, and let's see, basically most of the country

wake up and get real, become Americans again, rather than party people.

this is a joke right? Greer is pathetic. Hispanic outreach, he better work on American outreach. Democrats will kick your political teeth in if you try to play identity politics. The GOP I once supported was a party of ideas which stood on their merit and thus attracted Americans to vote for them regardless of what demographic group they belonged to. Greer is just as bad as the 96% of blacks who voted for Obama. This racism crap has got to end and all of us need to unite as Americans in the common cause of liberty, peace and prosperity.

Greasy Juan Hernandez unavailable for comment...
