Sen. Gaetz to run special economic panel

Sen. Don Gaetz has been appointed to chair the Senate Select Committee on Florida's Economy. Sen. Jeremy Ring, D-Margate, is the vice chairman.

Other panel members include Republican Sens. J.D. Alexander, Mike Haridopolos, Ken Pruitt, Jim King and Mike Bennett. Democratic Sens. Dan Gelber, Tony Hill and Eleanor Sobel were also appointed.
