Hasner 'keeping all options open' for Senate
Rep. Adam Hasner, R-Delray Beach, on possible U.S. Senate bid:
"I'm certainly keeping all my options open. I've met or had conversations with a lot of people in Florida and Washington who want me to run. I've demonstrated an ability to lead in a legislative environment. I bring youthful ideas and energy to the Party. I have an energy and passion for serving the people of Florida that is unrivaled. My work ethic speaks for itself."
Hasner, who is beginning his second term as House Majority Leader, was elected in 2002.

I think the world of the guy. However I wonder if anyone on the west coast know of him? Does he have any statewide name recognition ?
The fact that the guy looks to cut first and raise taxes last could make him ineligible to run for Washington DC office.

Who thinks more highly of themself; Hasner or Obama ?

Hasner - don't you think you better lawyer up before you Senate up, Mr. Delray Beach-Palm Beach County?

"I bring youthful ideas and energy to the Party."
.....We are seeing this at the Republican Party of Florida already. No thank you.

"I have an energy and passion for serving the people of Florida that is unrivaled".
I need to vomit !

I like Hasner. He's a good, solid guy, but unable to win statewide elected office. His own county wouldn't support him, unless he ran as a Dem

Adam,
Why don't you show some balls and leadership and stand up to Speaker Ransom and quit deluding yourself regarding a US Senate run.
I assume you're just indulging your ego with this US Senate interest and you don't actually believe you could win, but if you do actually think you can win you're obviously not as smart as you think you are.
You're a freaking state rep for crying outloud. I realize you outraise most of your small time cronies in the state house, but US Senate is the big time.
It's like the old SAT style question...Which one doesn't belong A.) McCollum
B.) Mack
C.) Buchanan
D.) Hasner

Stand up to Ransom and you'll get my vote.
Posted by: | January 13, 2009 at 08:31 PM
That'll get you some statewide name recognition, Adam, calling the speaker out on his unethical dealings. Then everyone in Florida would know who you are. Just like Palin did in Alaska. Shook up the local good ole boys. Now she is an international celebrity. You could do the same thing Adam. Do you have the guts?
Posted by: Fed up Republican | January 13, 2009 at 09:12 PM
Are you kidding me. I am a Rubio supporter and I would vote for Hasner in a heartbeat if he had the guts to do the right thing for the good of the party. Charlie certainly doesn't have any intention of rescuing this sinking ship. Do these people have their head up their arses or don't they read the paper or watch the news. I know Hasner reads his email, cause he answered me once.

You are just a little wanna be Adam. There isn't another person in Tallahassee who is more self absorbed than you! Look at his comments! That's pretty brazen thinking!! Go get em sport you metrosexual!
Posted by: | January 13, 2009 at 10:04 PM
LOL, when I first heard he was thinking about running for the Senate, I thought, "He can't beat Ted Deutch."
Just because Hasner gets his backside kissed in Tallahassee doesn't mean he'll get anyone's support for a U.S. senate race.
He's delusional if he thinks he'll get past the primary...

Adam was appointed Majority Leader by Sansom, he should resign that post first, then call on Ray to do the same.
That would be leadership, and show something deep down.
Let the chips fall. Or let Chip Case fall, for that matter.
Posted by: | January 13, 2009 at 10:30 PM
He is even more full of himself than Rubio..and that is not easy to do! Neither one could win a STATE Senate seat...let alone a US Senate seat.
Posted by: | January 13, 2009 at 11:20 PM
If Crist doesn't get in it will be very difficult for Republicans to keep the seat.
Posted by: | January 13, 2009 at 11:21 PM
HASNER IS AN HONEST, HARDWORKING LEADER! KEEP MAKING FLORIDA PROUD!!!
Posted by: PEACE | January 13, 2009 at 11:44 PM
Why isn't he serving in Iraq? Why is military service off-limits for ambitious young warhawks?
Posted by: | January 13, 2009 at 11:56 PM
ADAM HASNER IS EXCELLENT!

Hahahahahahahahasner???????

Adam's a great guy but he doesn't have that much juice yet.
Look for McCollum to make one last stab at the brass ring.

ADAM HASNER IS EXCELLENT!
I agree... he made sure I got my insurance premium notice, foreclosure notice, and $240 from Amendment One all at the same time!

I'm sick of young R's old R's, just sick of all R's.
Posted by: | January 14, 2009 at 08:46 AM
11:21 p.m. is right, if Gov. Crist runs, he not only wins the seat
but he overtakes Bill Nelson as "the man" from Florida and would be well positioned for the '12 primary.

Some office holders will say anything to get their name in the media.

Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha... oh boy, he's killing me! This is too funny! Is Hasner REALLY talking about US Senate?? This has to be a misprint. It has to be State Senate. If not, he must be getting into the mushrooms. The kind that grow in sh*t.
Posted by: | January 14, 2009 at 10:05 AM
He's almost as fat as Jeb. Lose the weight, pork chop.
Posted by: | January 14, 2009 at 01:29 PM
I like Adam, but, sorry he does not have a chance! Why didn't someone keep him from this? Now he looks like a jerk!
Posted by: | January 14, 2009 at 02:30 PM
Is Jillian running for his seat?
Posted by: Hasner - The Name You Know | January 14, 2009 at 03:58 PM
Congressman Ander Crenshaw is a very popular Northeast Florida Republican, any republican running will need to capture votes from republican base in Jacksonville, Crenshaw would grab these votes and would garner support from other parts of the state as well. Crenshaw for Senate!

Are any women planning to run? What about Ellyn Bogdanoff?
