What a sorry lot. As it should be, considering the damage done by the last GOP to hold the office.
Posted by: Conservatives are already the death of capitalism. I'm voting DEM! | June 03, 2009 at 01:54 PM
This is as much an indication of who people think will run as it is who they would vote for. If Jeb announced an exploratory campaign he'd be at the head of the pack in a poll.

gee what happened to "Chuckles the clown" Crist?
thought he was going to be the GOP's savior?
LOL!

Joe is drinking something; it sure ain't beer.
Posted by: Bush = Worst President Ever | June 03, 2009 at 02:24 PM
No one with the last name Bush will EVER be elected to national office again for at least the next 50 years.
In other words, not in my lifetime.

Well,to be beat by the "pundits" has to be embarrassing unless you look at the big picture.I think if a sampling of all voters you would see how being a vocal and outspoken extremist would be a positive among republicans but very high negatives among all voters.
If you are a Democrat, you want badly to see Palin,if not,Newt,Mitt both have huge negatives and Huckabee, going to attempt to the voters through the "good book" will have to explain his punditry on fox news, doing all he has been able to prove his strict conservative adherence, will be his negative to over come. The thing is with Huckabee,he will either choose to stay on fox as long as possible, giving him the label "extremist pundit" or get out of the propaganda business and run on virtue.Yeah,uh-huh.Just like Baxley,Huckabee will START carrying a bible and look oh so ever like a Benny Hinntype, send me money and vote for me cuz god said so!!!
Posted by: His brother is responsible for the worst economic disaster since the great depression and look what he did to our state with higher cost privatization. | June 03, 2009 at 02:41 PM
2:41 and all you other haters; let it be know that your IDOL owns our current economic situation.
HIS Communist take over of banking, insurance, manufacturing, soon health care, soon the media is all HIS.
HIS increasing the money supply by 400%, HIS record deficit (4x the all time record) are HIS policies.
HE chided McCain about taxing your health insurance premiums during the campaign. Now HE is going to propose just that. HE said HE will not raise taxes on people under $250k, yet HE already has. HE is now talking about Nationalized HealthCare which will cost us all (workers and taxpayers that is) much much more.
HE is pushing Cap and Trade which will cost us all (homeowners and renters that is) thousands more per year.
The Emperor has no clothes, you know it, I know it. SOMEONE PLEASE TELL HIM!!!!!
Posted by: Just Sayin | June 03, 2009 at 03:06 PM
Just Sprayin and his desperate discredited conservative pals NEED YOU TO LISTEN TO THEIR MESSAGE! How else do you expect them to return to power, folks? I mean we're talking some serious amnesia here. You know that if you smoke 4 packs a day for 8 years and you find out you have practically inoperable lung cancer and the doctor can't save you ITS THE DOCTOR'S FAULT!!! So what's the use of trying, right? Let's just light up!

... go figure
Posted by: NO MORE BUSH FAMILY | June 03, 2009 at 03:48 PM
Jeb was a great governor, but there is no way the party or nation will elect a Bush in '12... none.
Posted by: It won't happen | June 03, 2009 at 03:49 PM
3:40 what do I want? I'd like to see conservatives own up to responsibility for their failures, re-examine what they stand for, stop obstructing our President and Congress, and make some meaningful contribution to our recovery. You're 0 for 4 so far, wingnuts.
Posted by: Conservatives own the Great Reagan-Bush Depression now, and they always will. | June 03, 2009 at 04:01 PM
3:24 If you were truthful about him, you would admit that you didnt vote for this. I heard this quote, tell me if you agree:
We voted for change we could believe in; not a change in our beliefs!
Be honest, doesn't that nail it? Even most Liberals are not this looney. A government takeover of private industry is not in OUR best interest.
The facts are this guy lied to everyone about who he really was and now we know.
I understand he is a likeable guy. In fact, if he were a moderate (more like Bill) I would support him.
But he is not moderate; he is as far left as can be. These policies will cripple us for sure. Bush was bad because he was to far left (fiscally), this guy is off the map.

Repiggies are yakking in their own echo chamber, mistaking the returning sound as thunderous approval. They controlled both houses of Congress and the Presidency, and look at the ensuing mess.
The names mentioned in this piece will only motivate me to support the Democrats even more. White evangelicals and their bigotries are the major problem for the repiggies these days.

Don't leave out the election tampering software their still using to fix elections they bought from Yang enterprises. look up Clint Curtis on the web. designer of the software, he tried to come clean with the proof but no one would listen. Will our vote count this time? True story

I am Mr. Reppiggie Here me oink!
Go Dems!
...Obama!!!
Posted by: Repiggie GUy | June 03, 2009 at 04:36 PM
4:04 Sorry, no remorse. If you remember, Obama had to revise his position on several issues during the campaign and once I understood the reasoning, I could see why. You see, Obama is not just likeable, he's also smart, very smart. He's doing what we all would like to have seen our leaders do over the last 30 years or more, which is government for the people. I realize that what Obama would like to do, and what he's forced to do sometimes because of the mess he inherited, are two different things. He's doing a good job with a bad situation.
Now it's your turn to be honest - Bush was a conservative who was faced with a bad situation too. All his so called liberal campaign promises were just so much empty air. When push came to shove he pursued the conservative agenda with a lethal vengeance - and it resulted in failure for the vast majority, as anyone could have predicted. It's not that Bush failed conservatives; it's that conservatives including Bush are failures.

I knew that the GOP (greedy old people)
was in trouble, but this poll is almost laughable.
Not only don't we need another member of the Bush dynesty, but Sarah Palin?
They probably should add Pill Poppin
Rush if they have that much of a death
wish.

For those who keep telling us that Jeb was a great Governor,
PLEASE explain. I would love to be able to understand.
Jeb and friends took a Seven billion surplus and in a short time left the State of Florida in a fiscal mess.
I have heard (by Republicans) how great Jeb was.
I think that it was Hitler (not comparing Jeb) said, "If you repeat a lie often enough, people will believe it"
Posted by: P.C. | June 04, 2009 at 07:09 AM
How can the Republicans bash Obama so much?
He has been in office a very short time, had to take over a fiscal mess that was left by eight years of Bush/Cheney, who by the way took a Seventeen Billion Surplus that was left by the Clinton administration and spent it on an illegal war.
The future is uncertain, but let's hope that the end will justify
the means, and this administration will be far better than the last.

ROMNEY/WHITMAN 2012
Posted by: Ron | June 04, 2009 at 08:07 AM
CARACAS (Reuters) - Venezuela's President Hugo Chavez said on Tuesday that he and Cuban ally Fidel Castro risk being more conservative than U.S. President Barack Obama as Washington prepares to take control of General Motors Corp.
During one of Chavez's customary lectures on the "curse" of capitalism and the bonanzas of socialism, the Venezuelan leader made reference to GM's bankruptcy filing, which is expected to give the U.S.government a 60 percent stake in the 100-year-old former symbol of American might.
"Hey, Obama has just nationalized nothing more and nothing less than General Motors. Comrade Obama! Fidel, careful or we are going to end up to his right," Chavez joked on a live television broadcast.
