Cajun strategist hired as Democrats' executive director
Former Louisiana Democratic Party executive director Scott Arceneaux has been hired as the Florida Democratic Party's new executive director. Arceneaux most recently worked on the Creigh Deeds campaign in Virginia and was Chris Dodd's political director in the presidential campaign.
"I'm extremely excited about coming to Florida and the opportunities we have for 2010. It's going to be ground zero," Arceneaux told Buzz.
"Scott's proven record of success and strong leadership will help Florida Democrats end the status quo and move our state forward. I am excited to work with chair Karen Thurman and her team to bring change to Florida," said CFO Alex Sink.
"The Florida Democratic Party is in the best shape it has been in years," said U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson. "We won't miss a beat with Scott."

there seem to be a couple of problems with that headline....

I hate it when people use the term "proven record" for someone with either a bad record or one that is not proven.

Serves us right. We gave them Alan Levine, and they give us Scott. Let's just stop the gift exchange while we are behind.

Don't forget Barry and the Boys!

Geez, an inappropriate reference to the 9-11 tragedy in his first quote. Somebody better coach that boy up better.

This is great news! In the last few years Louisiana has gone from having a Democratic Gov to having a Republican Gov and made big enough gains in the state house to elect a Republican Speaker. Bring that "proven record" to Florida.

Since the Marxists are in control (check out Carol Browner's resume) in D.C., Nelson believes their thuggish tactics (read Lenin's manual on that one) will bring the liberal soft-marxist out on top in Florida.
dream on, socialist Nelson, dream on

Scottie is just another in a long line of parasites stealing the contributions of little old ladies. Chalk up the same for Thurman.
The FDP Exec Director position remains just a parking place for political hacks. Certainly a very expensive one at that.
Wasting all the hard earned dollars of sincere, often elderly old school Dems who want only to see their principles become policy, instead go to fund the lifestyles of the incompetent, lazy and unprincipled is just unseemly.
The rhetorical "slop" that Thurman throws on a plate in her ever more outrageous public proclamations of what she "sells" as progress and success, long ago ceased being laughable and now only rank as pitiful.
How dumb does this incompetent actor think people are? Does she not believe that most people can count? She must be color blind!
This state is redder than ever legislatively, with the opposition party where elected, peopled with jokers who are just as big in the department of lobbying sales as the majority. So out of the grave comes Huey Long?
How can anyone see things getting any better. The media is always a partner in crime advocating for puppets and chastising principled challengers. So where does the public turn to have relief from such stench? D D

I think we need the Blue Dogs as a third party.

Well, before I vote for him...I want to know his favorite gumbo recipe.....

Hey Florida,
We already have the BlueDog Dems (FDP), which are just an extension of the Republican Party.
DisgustedDem is all over it. We need a 3rd Party that represents the people NOT Corporate/Special Interests. We already have TWO parties that work for them.
Unless you're missing something we need a party that works for ordinary folks cause that is clearly what is missing.

Disgusted Dem barely scratched the surface of the seething cauldrons of incompetence otherwise known as the Florida Democratic Party and our local DEC. I have been active in various state and county campaigns, including serving as Treasurer or Deputy Treasurer of some of them. Anytime the FDP came in the door I knew the election was lost. After more than fifty years as a registered Democrat I an now registered as NPA.
