Crist destroys Tokyo and other weird stuff
Howard Troxler:
June 1 (Actual, true item): Gov. Charlie Crist lays waste to Florida by signing a law allowing developers to build whatever they want without regard for impact on roads.
July 5: Crist accidentally signs and vetoes a bill at the same time, creating a constitutional and legal crisis. Asked which action he intended, Crist answers: "Yes."
July 17: Florida Senate instructs its members and staffers not to cooperate with investigations by CSI: Miami.
Aug. 10: Senate President Jeff Atwater is caught gigging sea turtles in front of a coastal condominium complex. His comment: "I thought you said beach nourishment."
Sept. 20: Crist destroys Tokyo. (read the full column here)

He sure has done his best to destroy Florida by turning it over to the unrestrained greed of his developer masters. Shame, I really though the GOP had someone reasonably honest on board. Oh well.

Charlie was elected for one reason and one reason alone.
He was elected to help his big money developer friends and mega contributers.
Now he wants to go to Washington and sell himself to the highest bidder.
With Charlie it is all about money and he will follow the
big bucks and the powerful.

WAKE UP, FLORIDA! DONT REWARD THIS DO-NOTHING PERPETUAL CANDIDATE POLITICIAN YET ANOTHER POLITICAL OFFICE FROM WHICH HE WILL MOUNT YET ANOTHER CAMPAIGN TO THE NEXT OFFICE! LET'S BREAK THE CYCLE AND SEND HIM BACK TO HIS RENTED HOME IN ST. PETE.

well duh folks. The moral is simple, DON'T VOTE FOR CHARLIE.
He'd sell his mother to a developer if he'd get a campaign contribution out of it!
Posted by: terminator | July 06, 2009 at 08:18 AM
terminator, you're right of course, but we definitely can't vote for Rubio either - he'd be worse.

So where do you righty wingnuts fall on this issue?

As always, Obama policy very neatly points out the fallacies of the conservative myth. Let me see... I think the wingnut postion was "We should have let them fail." wasn't it?

Bleak Picture
The federal picture is so bleak because the Obama administration is the most fiscally irresponsible in the history of the U.S. I would imagine that he would be the intergalactic champion as well, if we could gather the data on deficits on other worlds. Obama has taken George W. Bush’s inattention to deficits and elevated it to an art form.
The Obama administration has no shame, and is willing to abandon reason altogether to achieve its short-term political goals. Ronald Reagan ran up big deficits in part because he believed that his tax cuts would produce economic growth, and ultimately pay for themselves. He may well have been excessively optimistic about the merits of tax cuts, but at least he had a story.
Obama has no story. Nobody believes that his unprecedented expansion of the welfare state will lead to enough economic growth. Nobody believes that it will pay for itself. Everyone understands that higher spending today begets higher spending tomorrow. That means that his economic strategy simply doesn’t add up.

RUN MARCO RUN. We need you now more than ever. Crist is nothing more than an empty suit with a tan. Maybe his buddy Obama can find him a job real soon.

Chuck turned out to be a typical right-winger. His pandering to the polls is only tempered by an occasional sell-out to his developer masters.

RUN MARCO RUN. As far away as possible! Steer clear of California, however, where they are soon going to start lynching "tax reform" dirtbags like you. Perhaps they need you in South Africa where fascism is still alive and well. Perhaps you can help them set up a puppet state with you as Generalissimo. On the other hand, Crist is nothing more than an tool with a tan. Maybe his buddy Odom can find him a job real soon.

So you are telling us to vote for Kendrick Meek?
Talk about someone who would pimp out their mother.

Chuck is a classic unaccomplished empty suit who does what his puppet masters tell him to do… and Meek is your typical family heirloom mama’s boy politician and member of the worst Congress in our history. Neither deserves nor is worthy of a shot at Senate.
Since the money people have already bought these two, and thus effectively eliminated the opportunity for a badly-needed fresh face… the best choice at this juncture is Rubio. Maybe one day the electorate will wake the hell up and clean the whole damn house from the local hacks to he DC slacks.
Until then, we have to come to grips with the fact that we’ve actually reached a point in this once great nation whereby our leadership positions are filled with – and elected based on – the proverbial “lesser of the two evils”.
May God help this once great nation and its people.

Pandering to the "base",the same thing that cost Mccain the White House, was also forced upon Crist ensuring Democats will no longer support him.
Brilliant move, whoever is pulling the strings is willing to sacrifice their own electable candidates.
The Democrats have to love that Guy!

The reason you can't and won't produce and FACTS and FIGURES is because it would show, beloved Reagan was a debtor President,so was senior Bush and the champion debtor president? Dubya!!!
Are you claiming Dubya's debt was done unintentionally ?
Now have a thought of your own so you can more easily debate the issues that you yourself bring to the discussion!

10:54 Um well um... OK the insurance bill, I guess. He did stand by Obama on the stimulus bill, too, though that wasn't a vote. But if you want to contend he's almost as bad as Rubio, I won't argue.
