McCain and Martinez to hold health care forum

Sen. Mel Martinez will hold a health care forum tomorrow in Hialeah with Sen. John McCain and Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell.

“This is going to be a frank discussion with health care providers, patients, and other stakeholders to air concerns about the current system and what steps Congress should take to address the problems," the retiring Martinez said in a statement.

The event will be held at Palmetto General Hospital, 2001 W. 68th St., and begins at 3:30 p.m. McCain and McConnell have been touring the states on the issue.

Well that's nice of them. Up to now I didn't think the Republicans had a health care plan, unless you count obstruction. So do you think the Insurance Industry will send their hired Brownshirts to disrupt this meeting? My guess is No, since the GOP will be pushing the "Continued Exploitation and Record Profits" plan the the industry favors over real reform

Nah, their plan is to not write laws that are Un-Constitutional.

Maybe I missed it; where in the Constitution does it say that the Federal Government can force you against your will to buy Health Insurance or for that matter any other product or service?

It doesn't; I thought not.

Imagine the anarchist Fascist-Libertarian traitor "Just Sprayin" trying to lecture us abot the Constitution. You will find this pretense of the Libertarians, along with other claims of faux patriotism debunked here:

No, 2:38 pm, the Republicans do have a plan which the Dems won't even consider. This is all YOUR boy and judging by his approval numbers, can you say "one-term"?

The King of Swine points to some Marxist web rant but still did not point out where in the Constitution it says the Federal Government can force me to buy anything; much less inferior Government Run Health Insurance.

He and his Marxist god both attack the Constitution; and he calls me a traitor.

Nice try wingnut.

Sure they do. The same old crap, or even more of the same old crap.

2:54 You a patriot? hahahaha. Careful anarchist democracy-hater your head will go boom!

...point out where in the Constitution it says the Federal Government can force me to buy anything; much less inferior Government Run Health Insurance.....

...point out where in the Constitution it says the Federal Government can force me to buy anything; much less inferior Government Run Health Insurance.....

umm...well the First Amendment protects your right to tell all the lies you want about it...does that address your real issue?

3:04 Why blather with the imbecile. The Republicans are misrepresenting everything the Democrats put on the table. We all know the reason - they hope this can be their springboard to breaking a very popular President who is determined to obey the will of the people and is not a tool of corporate special interests.

...point out where in the Constitution it says the Federal Government can force me to buy anything; much less inferior Government Run Health Insurance.....

1. publicly funded campaigns
2. term limits for all elected officials

thought Mel quit because he wanted to spend more time with his family.?
Mel, you're a loser and a quitter and I don't know why anyone would care what you have to say.
Please take your illegal immigrants home with you when you go.

Overheard that a House Chief of Staff worked with Unions to get my bosses to withdraw their invitation to host the event. Interesting to see the sides lining up on this issue.

Obama Care must go down

THANK YOU SENATOR MARTINEZ!!

AT LEAST ONE SENATOR CARES.
I'VE BEEN TRYING TO GET SENATOR NELSON TO DO TOWNHALLS. HE'S BEEN CONSTANTLY DUCKING US AND AVOIDING ANSWERING HIS CONSTITUENTS.
