Diva in the news: You can't have this!
You want it, right? You toootally want the black and white summer frock Michelle Obama rocked on "The View" Wednesday.
Well, you can't have it. At least not locally. The Tank Leaf Print Dress, which retails for $148, is from White House Black Market. I called the local store in St. Petersburg's Bay Walk, and the sales associate said it's sold out. The closest dress is in Georgia. BOO.
If you're a preferred member, the store will order and mail it to you. Stop in or call a WHBM to find out more.
Miss O looked fierce. Relaxed, feminine, but sophisticated. No dickey-brooch-perm-sensible shoe-knee high political wife style of old. She's the cool mom who will show you how to shave and wear Spanx when you're good and ready.
It's akin to Barack's style, with his breezy open necklines and sport coats. Are these people vying for the White House, or going on holiday in Cabo? Really. I want whatever margarita they're sippin.'
I love White House Black Market. Their stuff is structured and well-made, but chill enough to rock when you wax about your hardcore love for bacon (see: Michelle Obama). Many of their dresses have built in bras, which is handy for doing the Cupid Shuffle at weddings. And the prints are very recognizable, even in, well, black and white. When I saw her dress, I immediately guessed it was WHBM.
The shop's a tad on the pricey side, but they have good sales. I got a denim skirt for $12 there once. Bow to me. Always check the back corners of the store for clearance.

Which face will we see from Michelle next? Obama doesn't want his wife to be talked about, so why is she on the View? Typical elitist doublespeak.
BTW, Howard Dean picked out the dress and shoes/Gestapo boots...

Conservative Blonde, I respond in kind. If you don't like to take it, don't dish it out!

ConservativeBlonde.....Do you realize that 80% of ALL Blacks voted for Obama? Its an election of race. Just look at the numbers and see for yourself....
P.S. Clinton didn't get 80% of ALL the white vote.....it's the Blacks that discriminate....numbers don't lie!!

Keep the White House clean.....She can clean it like a maid...but not live there!!

She's sucks! Whats next....Call the Whitehouse the Blackhouse? And since his family is Muslim....do you really think America is going to let Muslims in the Whitehouse to live? NEVER!
I hope they keep that black spot off my T.V. forever!!

I would love to perpetrate your idea that all people who do not like Obama are white and wealthy, but I am not wealthy. I am white. But Obama could be white and I would still hate his politics. I am not fond of Nancy Pelosi or Harry Reid either, and I continually write scathing letters to Senator Nelson -white Democrat - whom I disagree with constantly. And I know Obama is not Muslim, but he does think he can negotiate with terrorists. And that is a danger I do not want to face. The 100 year remark is old and tired and has been proven to be soundbite taken out of context, so give it a rest. I live in a tiny house - so that takes care of that stereotype. You argue badly and like most liberals resort to name calling when forced to face the fallacies of your candidate. It is not worth my energy to engage in a discussion with ignorance. Good luck and keep drinking that kool-aid and ignoring the fact that your candidate is a puppet for the Man.

Hey conservative blonde, before you go calling others out, you should read YOUR OWN postings. Just how is one supposed to address an incoherent tirade?
Contrary to what faux news and newslax want you to believe, future President Obama ISN'T Islamic. Mcwar, on the other hand has said he's cool with keeping troops in Iraq for another 100 years. If you don't have a problem with that, send your own kids to fight that war. I'll be happy to give them a ride to the recruiter's office - ya just need to notify the guard at your gated community so I can wait for you to send them out.
Posted by: kitty | June 20, 2008 at 03:44 PM
Hey kitty - how about addressing some of the issues I raised? And as far as your referring to McCain as McWar, I guess that means I can refer to Obama as Barry-terrorist-lover. You truly believe the Islamo-fascists will not attack America again? These people want us, our children, and our grandchildren dead. they want us eradicated. They want a world ruled by Islam. So grow up and try reading real history - not liberal revisionist history.

conservative blonde & voxy, if you make more than $250k a year, then you SHOULD vote for mcwar. If you make less than that, as the VAST majority of Americans do, you're voting against your best interests. Good thing the vast majority of Americans have had their eyes opened for them by the likes of the current administration and are intelligent enough to realize we can't afford four more years of little georgie's failed policies.
Posted by: kitty | June 20, 2008 at 03:29 PM
Hey Kim, no admonishment for ConservativeBlonde or voxy, huh? Yeah, you're about as "for" Obama as I am for mcwar.
Posted by: kitty | June 20, 2008 at 03:25 PM
Kim get over yourself. I'm sorry if you're offended that cindy mcwar looks like she's on some serious mood altering drugs, but I'm not the one who prescribed them for her.
Posted by: kitty | June 20, 2008 at 03:23 PM
Good for you voxy. The Obamas are not Democrats at all. they are radical leftists that are making John Kennedy spin in his grave. But the scariest thing is that they are both puppets being run by the radical left in this country. Remember Richard Gere in the movie Chicago when he was a ventriloquist making Renee Zellwigger say exactly what he wanted? That is the Obamas. they are being run by MoveOn.org and Sauros, the billionaire who made all his money in hedge funds. Please tell all your Democratic friends to pay attention to what he says when he is not reading from a teleprompter. He is pathetic when not on the telprompter. That is why he will not engage John McCain in town hall meetings. He cannot think for himself and the meetings would prove that. Democrats please wake up. Your party has been hijacked.
Posted by: ConservativeBlonde | June 20, 2008 at 03:20 PM
I'm REALLY REALLLLLY seriously tired of having the obamas shoved on me like a commercial. AND, I'm a democrat.
But, I'm NOT sure that they ARE.
Posted by: voxy | June 20, 2008 at 03:14 PM
Of course when those two raise our taxes so high that no one can afford to shop at WHBM maybe then you Obamamaniacs will wake out of your Obamacoma. But if you drink the Kool-Aid you can almost believe her lie about being proud to be an American. This woman hates America and it would be a travesty to have either her or her Marxist husband in the White House. In the View she stated she wants to change America's traditions and history? Why? We have honorable traditions and an honorable history. She and her husband are living proof of that. I am sorry, but the only changes she and her husband want to make will take us right back to the bad old times of Jimmy Carter. McCain is not great, but at least he will not turn the United States of America into the United Socialist Republic of America. Please read something besides the New York Times and listen to something besides NPR and wake up! You are selling your children and grandchildren into social and economic slavery if you vote for Obama.

I do not like Michelle Obama. She comes across as a real snob. Real condescending. Like she is so much better than everyone else and that she is lowering herself to be around others.
Posted by: Niki | June 20, 2008 at 01:24 PM
I don't know about that Kim....Cindy McCain was addicted to presciption drugs wasn't she? To the point of using her own charity to get scripts and pills? I don't know, there is likely a reason she looks dazed and glazed as Kitty says...and I'm grown watching how Cindy deals with these major grown up issues. It's not pretty.
Posted by: Are you sure? | June 20, 2008 at 12:10 PM
Kitty grow up... they are completely TWO different people.. I am for Obama and Michelle looked gorgeous and it is about time she got her professional makeover and a chief of staff and a press writer to soften her up. If Obama is elected she will be a beautiful First Lady in her own right and if McCain is elected so will Cindy.
Posted by: Kim | June 20, 2008 at 11:32 AM
She's gorgeous and she's real, unlike that glazed, dazed-looking mannequin who follows a few paces behind mcwar!
Posted by: kitty | June 20, 2008 at 11:25 AM
She is always beautiful! Not your traditional first lady but you gotta love her.

ohhh, I love WHBM. I almost got a job there just so I could shop there.
