Cocktail Ring: Do you dare?

Nothing is more personal than jewelry. I like to keep things simple and understated. So it's weird that I keep gravitating to the cocktail ring trend.

When I see a Diva rocking out a ginormous ring, I want in. Nothing says hip like the modern take on Aunt Mable's jaw-dropper.

BUT... I can't do it. I try on a cocktail ring and scream in fear. My finger looks like a dressed up sausage!! What looks fab from a distance is frightening up close. I have fat fingers. I'm a wimp about statement jewelry. Or, maybe, I just need to keep trying until I find a perfect fit.

For those who are ready to take the plunge, here are some affordable options to try out.

Fossilring_2

Love Cocktail Rings. The key is to wear them on the index finger and without any other ring. Looks a lot more stylish and like you're not trying to make it look "real."

Deal Diva Colleen

I had a cocktail ring several years back that I loved, loved, loved. And then I remember one day looking at it and suddenly hating its gaudiness.

And now...I'm totally loving them again. Funny how the fashion world turns.

Yes it was definitely awesome. A little bit out of my price range for gifts, but it's a lot of fun to look at! This weekend there is a huge crafts fair hosted by the Junior League of Clearwater at Coachman Park. Ive heard that its spectacular!

Letitia

I'm with you. I like in theory, but those fist-sized stones just look weird on me. A coworker was just telling me about the gift market this weekend, a Junior League thing I think. It sounded like something to not miss next year.

Starfish

You know, I was just at the giant gift market thing at the fairgrounds with my mom on Saturday and I was trying those on and laughing about how huge and gaudy they looked. I could never pull one off thats for sure.
