Floridian tipped to be Climate Czarina
Are we going to have our first Climate Czar in the White House? If so, it looks like it could be a Czarina, according to The New York Times.
And she's a UF grad ('77) and was also born in Florida! She is Carol M Browner, 52, former administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency under President Clinton. She also sits on the board of the Audubon Society, the League of Conservation Voters and the Alliance for Climate Protection, all strong advocates of the need to control greenhouse gas emissions.
Before joining the Clinton administration, Browner was Secretary Florida's Department of Environmental Regulation in Florida, 1991-93. She served as General Counsel for the Florida House of Representatives Government Operations Committee in 1980. From 1986 to 1988, she worked in Washington as chief legislative aide for then-Senator Lawton Chiles. She later served as Legislative Director for Senator Al Gore ('88-'91).
Her bio says she grew up in south Florida, where the Everglades were a bike ride away. Her parents were college professors at Miami-Dade Community College.

Great! Now we get a Floridiot in Washington promoting her pal Al Gore's agenda to sell more of "his" carbon credits. Even the "Global Warming" people realize they're wrong about the "Warming" and are now calling it "Climate Change".

You know something was fishy with this "Global Warming" scam when they started smearing dissenting scientists as "Deniers" and trying to wreck their careers, saying "The discussion is over, there's nothing to debate."
Hmmm... who else smears people like that?

Yeah Maxwells and Dolgun, there is nothing more to debate. For whatever selfish reason, people like you two can continue to deny climate change exists, believe humans lived with dinosaurs 4,000 years ago and God created the heavens and the Earth 6,000 years ago. Why don't you guys just sell that stinking Hummer already.

The only reason climate change exists is because week minded people will believe anything as long as the government says its so. The government tells me that there is global warming, they tell me the economy is fine and that our education system is good. They tell me there is a gas shortage and we are running out of oil. They tell me that the war in Iraq is necessary and that Barack Obama is going to fix everything. I cannot believe anything the government or media tells me because I don't let CNN, FoxNews, CBS, MSMBC, ABC and the characterless news papers tell me anything outside who won in sports. I reason and think and use common sense for myself and rely on the principles that I understand to be right. I use problem solving skills that were endowed to me from a creator, I didn't evolve from a paramecium or amoeba. If by now you haven't figured out that our government is corupt and misleading, then there isn't much hope for you because pretty soon you'll say what they want you say and do what they want you to do and the only freedoms you'll have is the ones they tell you that you have. Wake up and think for yourself man before everyone else thinks for you! Don't buy off on the nonsense Washington and Tallahassee are craming down your throat 365!

Manavis, your cynicism may be misplaced. Aren't you forgetting that the government for a long time rejected the notion of global warming. What we are witnessing now is not driven by government, rather it's a process where government has been forced to listen and respond to public pressure.
