UF to host three All-American Football League games

GAINESVILLE - Florida has reached an agreement with the new All-American football League to host three of the five games which will be played by the league's Florida team.

The AAFL's Florida team will feature former players of the University of Florida who have earned their bachelor's degree, but are not playing in other professional leagues.

The games at Florida Field will be played on April 26th, May 17th and May 31st. Florida will collect about $1 million for the three games.

The League's Board is chaired by Dr. Cedric Dempsey, former President of the NCAA, and includes Dr. Charles Young, former President of the University of Florida, and Gene Corrigan, former Commissioner of the ACC. Former Gator Lee McGriff has been named Board Chairman of the AAFL's Florida team.

A press conference has been scheduled for Sept. 5 to announce the team and league schedule.

"If the All American Football League creates a lo-fi version of professional college football, it will easily be the most watchable pro sport in existence" This is the strogest quote ever.The Florida team has great ties that are involved with the league, such as Lee McGriff being on board helps alot!
Being a player on the Florida team I am so excited about the opportunites that are coming up, the sky is the limit in this league! As time rolls on the All American Football League will take over and take fans no other place they have ever been before with the benefits that will be provide to ticket owners, and those people who believe in the love for the game. We want you all to come out and support team Florida on Sept 5th, 2007 in Gainsville!It feels good to be a college graduate, education is paramount!

Its absolutely the best system ever designed. The All American Football League is where only two things matter, Athlete's & Fans!

We are proud to present to you the allamericanfootballleague Im system. Where you can get your questions out, and your frustration out. You can discuss all the madness about the SEC, ACC, BIG EAST, BIG XXI, and BIG TEN. No, we did not forget the little dogs either. The Sun Belt, Ivy League, SWAC, and Independents are all topics also. Its all the same. You can play hard or go home! It does not matter where you come from. Its about the fans just as much as the athletes. University Of Miami does not have loyal fans, like the University of Florida! Thats why they don't have a team. They call themselves the "U"! Florida wins that game once again, and proves to have the best fans and quality athletes!

Rivalaries are written in stone. Past history shows that Alabama rules the SEC in more than one category! They lead in All Time Bowl Wins with 30. The next closest team in the SEC is Tennessee with 24 wins. Alabama leads in all time bowl appearances with 54 post season games. The next closest team is the Vols with 46. The SEC king goes to Alabama. They have the most SEC Championships with 21. Twenty one times Alabama has been crowned for there hardwork!

History is a part of football. Now with that said, this league plans to write its own history. So come out and be a part of it and support it. The All American Football League has rewritten history already. It will be a flavored modern day football lifestyle! Its coming in Spring 2008. Don't just hear about it, be there!
