Tim Tebow on Monday was named a finalist for the Maxwell and Davey O'Brien awards.

Tebow joins Oregon quarterback Dennis Dixon and Arkansas running back Darren McFadden on the Maxwell list, presented to the best all-around college player.

The O'Brien award honors the nation's best quarterback. Along with Tebow, Missouri's Chase Daniel and Dixon are up for the award.

The awards are among nine that will be given during the Home Depot ESPNU College Football Awards, which will be announced on Dec. 6, at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN at the Walt Disney World Resort In Lake Buena Vista.
