Florida awaiting official bowl announcement
Florida officials have been informed by bowl personnel that there will be no official announcement concerning the Gators' bowl destination until after the 8 p.m. BCS show on Fox Sports.
The Gators are expected to accept an invitation to the Capital One Bowl on New Year's Day, but whether their opponent will be Illinois or Michigan remains unclear.
