Dunnellon linebacker chooses Florida
Dunnellon linebacker Lerentee McCray orally committed to Florida Wednesday afternoon, bringing to 20 the number of oral recruits for the Gators.
McCray chose Florida over in-state rival Florida State in a live broadcast on ESPNU. He originally committed to Miami, but later changed his mind.
"It felt like home every time I went up there,'' McCray said of Gainesville.
McCray took an official visit to Florida State last weekend, but said he never wavered on his decision.
"It just felt like (Florida) was where I needed to be,'' McCray said Wednesday. He is listed as a 4-star recruit by Rivals.com.
The Gators now have 10 defensive oral commitments.
