Harvin's surgery completed
Florida wide receiver Percy Harvin underwent surgery in Charlotte, N.C., Monday evening.
The surgery, performed by foot and ankle specialist Dr. Robert Anderson at the Orthocarolina Orthopedic Clinic, corrected a chronic right heel problem. Harvin is expected to recover in time for pre-season practice in August.
Harvin, a 5-11, 181, junior from Virginia Beach, Va., has seen action in 24 games with 15 starts in two seasons. He has the most career rushing yards by a Florida receiver (1,192) and has made 93 receptions for 1,285 yards. He has 15 career touchdowns (nine rushing and six receiving).
