Harvin ahead of schedule following surgery
Florida coach Urban Meyer spoke in front of a packed crowd at at Tampa Gator Gathering Thursday night, and said junior receiver Percy Harvin's rehab is ahead of schedule.
Harvin underwent surgery on his heel last month and missed most of spring practice and the Orange and Blue game.
“It’s real positive right now,'' Meyer said. “I talked to coach Mickey (Marotti, strength and conditioning coach). He’s almost 200 pounds, he’s 199. He’s been in the SwimEx, his attitude is terrific. He didn’t go home for break, he stayed and rehabbed. He’s doing very well. He’s running in the Swimex. He’s ahead of schedule.’’
Meyer said if Harvin can stay healthy this season, he expects him to have a phenomenal year.
