Gators pick up another commitment for 2009

GAINESVILLE - Naples offensive tackle Nick Alajajian, considered one of the top high school offensive linemen in the nation, orally committed to the Gators on Tuesday.

“We met with Coach (Steve) Addazio and Coach (Urban) Meyer and toured the school and went through the academics and stuff,” Alajajian told Gatorcountry.com.  “When we were done I just told them I want to be a Gator.  They were really excited that I committed and told me congratulations and all of that good stuff.”

The 6-foot-4, 280-pound Alajajian said Florida's offense suits him well because he enjoys both run blocking and pass blocking.

“The main thing Gator fans can look for from me is I am an intense player,” he said. “I am real passionate and don’t mess around. Football is my life. I have spent my lifetime on that, so they will see the way I can make plays and finish.”
