Florida Football Fan Day Is Aug. 16
The Florida football team will hold Verizon Wireless Football Fan Day on Sunday, Aug. 16, from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Stephen C. O’Connell Center.
Admission is free. Doors will open at 12:30 p.m.
Fans will be able to meet and get autographs from Gator players and coaches. The University Athletic Association will supply the 2009 Gator team posters for player autographs. Outside items will not be allowed to be brought in to the event due to NCAA compliance issues.
"Unfortunately, when players have signed various autograph items such as helmets and footballs, they have on occasion been sold to the general public," Senior Associate Athletics Director for Compliance Jamie McCloskey said. "This practice could put the eligibility of some of our student-athletes into question. We want to be proactive in this area and are asking our fans to cooperate with our policy of requesting an autograph on our team poster only. The poster should be for personal use only and not intended for sale."
Due to the high demand for many of the players' and coaches' autographs, the lines will be monitored and closed to ensure that fans are not waiting for autographs with no chance of reaching the signing table by the event's conclusion.

That is awesome. It's JEAN-SHORTS NATION! I hope they have plenty of room for all those trailers. Noles will put up 50 on that D.

Bobby Bowden 0-5 against Urban Meyer. Soon to be 0-6. I'm so happy your school is on probation. Your football team will never be what it was. Enjoy the rest of your life watching average football Undefeated 1999. I wonder how many cheating athletes were on the 99 team. Dillards shopping spree, Free Shoes University. A university of cheaters. Ha ha. Sucks to be you, nerd!

This even was poorly planned and very disappointing. I drove up to Gainesville with my 9 year old son sporting orange and blue hair and my 7 year old daughter in her cheerleading outfit because they LOVE Tim Tebow. The website said they would cut off lines so people wouldn't have to wait without hope of getting an autograph. We got there at 9:30 and were probably one of the first 700 or so people near the front of the line. We waited 2.5 hours in the heat for the O dome to open, then once inside, were informed that there were already more people in the Tebow line than he had time to sign so we wouldn't be getting his autograph. My kids were crushed. We moped around for a while and got to meet some of the other cool players but in the end, the main reason we drove up and waited for 2 and a half hours outside in the heat for, a picture with Tim Tebow, was not going to happen. They should cut the line off outside so people don't hang around for hours only to be turned away once they are inside. They should also let everyone know that being in line outside the O dome doesn't mean squat and that you still might not get any autographs once inside. It was very sad for my kids.

Cinderella,
What about the cheaters that were on UF's 1996/1997 team. You know, the players that were getting paid by TANK BLACK. I believe it was your AD Jeremy Foley that stated nothing should happen because they didn't know anything about players getting paid.

Tank paid over $10,000 for each player - 6 of them!! crooks.
