How much Tim Tebow is too much?
It appears the constant coverage of Tim Tebow is getting to be too much for some people.
Then again, it seems others believe there's no such thing.
There's no denying the senior quarterback is always in the spotlight, and has been since before his arrival at Florida in 2006. And the ESPN love-rest seems to be growing.
Check out this year's preseason magazines and Tebow is on the cover of Lindy's, Sporting News and Athlon Sports - at least the regional editions.
But as noted in this recent NCAA Footbal FanHouse blog, it seems some are tiring of the media's perceived love of Tebow. The writer takes issue with how a reporter allegedly fell all over Tebow Thursday at the ESPY Awards show, and suggests Tebow has become overexposed.
However, Dan Shanoff of Sporting News has a different opinion. He's launched an all-Tebow, all the time website called TIMTEBLOG: The Tim Tebow blog. Shanoff defines it as "obsessive coverage of Tim Tebow.''
With Florida's expected No. 1 preseason ranking in the coaches' poll, and the return of Tebow and the entire starting defense, if you're one of those who is getting sick of seeing and hearing about Tebow, you've got problems.
On the otherhand, if you can't get enough, you're in luck.
Love him or hate him, it appears he's not going away any time soon.

If you bleed orange and blue, this blog is for you. The Gator Report is written by Florida beatwriter Antonya English and the staff of the St. Petersburg Times. We invite your comments and participation.
If you didn't know Tebow made chuck norris cry and he is a god

He's a talented guy and a great role model. Not too many anymore. Cover him all ya want.

How can any football fan get enough of a living legend? The only people who may be sick of Tebow are the fans of his competition... The side bar of his incredible life and athletic prowess results in less of a spotlight for the otherwise "above average" athletes elsewhere.
I look forward to telling my grandkids about Tebow's acomplishments (both on and off the field). Keep writing... if anyone ever deserved the attention for doing things the right way, it is Tim.
See you in Pasadena!

Tim Tebow is a a fantastic athlete, a great student, a tenacious, selfless faith filled Christian, he has a smile that would light up a an overcast day and he is an incredible national role model for all ages.
No, we have not heard enough about this overachieving young man!
Tim broke the record for 93 million hits on Google in a 24 hour period when he wore "John 3:16" under his eyes! Even St. Peter would give Tim a high five for breaking his record from the first Pentecost Sunday.
Posted by: Never enough of Tim Tebow. Keep on going strong Tim! They are just jealous. Go Gators! | July 16, 2009 at 06:57 PM
If you actually knew him you would know why everyone talks about him, he really is a great guy that just wants to be a good person and help people in need. I think we should keep talking about him and maybe more people would want to be like him. It's great to be a FLORIDA GATOR!!!!

One more thing is he welcome to be the father of my next baby. He going to make it to the NFL and I would be set for life because I bet he would make a million dollars! Tim come to mama!

I would rather hear about Tebow than all that Michael Jackson crap.
Go Gators.

Shakeela, you 2 would never click. He doesn't like huge butts, chicken, 28" wheels on crappy cars or crack. And he actually speaks English, not jungle.

Antonya, you talk about biting the hand that feeds you. You, ma'am are an absolute moron to write something like this. There are beat writers all over Hell's half acre who'd give body parts to have a player like this to cover and here you go asking if it's too much. Jeez, Louise you are one stupid woman.

How could anyone be saying that there is to much Tim Tebow? Are you kidding me? Its not even football season! Lets see what we can argue about today...hmmmmmm Tim Tebow. How about we bring this up in a few months when the Gators are 7-0 and Tebow is on the front page of espn.com every Saturday.

Duke you racist. For your FYI how do you know what my butt is like? I also do not have 28 inch wheel on my car but I will admit I do have a crappy car. I also speak English. YOU racist and it show.

I am a Dooley-authorized GA Bulldog fan, but I have to tip my hat to Tim Tebow.
He exemplifies character both on and off the field. The world would be a better place if all athletes were more like him.
GO Dawgs!!

He is a great player but I get tired of watching a Gator game and just listen to the announcers talk about him the WHOLE GAME ad nauseum.
Posted by: Joe | July 16, 2009 at 07:22 PM
I am so tired of hearing about this talentless pretty boy. Put him on the field with NFL players and they'd mop the floor with him. He's just another stupid redneck who thinks he needs to share his religion no matter what he does. No thanks. He's not for me.

Here are some huge "little" Tim Tebow fans.

I believe TT is in violation of NCAA rules. How did he get front row seats at the Magic playoff series? How is he back stage at numerous concerts? All of these benefits must be eligible to be received by the entire student body. Alert the NCAA today. That would be awesome. VACATE those titles baby. TT is ineligble!!

He seems to be a positive role model. A sports star who does not get in trouble with the law. We need more like him. Go Tim--Go Gators!!
