Tim Tebow to play final SEC regular season game against coach he grew up admiring
Florida quarterback Tim Tebow recognizes the irony in playing his final regular season SEC game against Steve Spurrier, the man who led the Florida teams he grew up admiring.
Tebow and Spurrier are both Heisman Trophy winners for the Gators, which carries a special kinship, Tebow said.
"I think there's some sort of kind of special relationship there,'' Tebow said. "We don't talk. We'll say hey after the game and we've talked a few times at the Heisman. And we have a little bit of a relationship like that. We have a lot of respect for each other. There's something that's cool about what we've done and our relationship.''
Tebow said it's almost fitting that he'll close out his SEC career against a man he considers a legend.
"That's just the way it worked out, I think it's cool,'' he said. "It's the last SEC game and it's versus coach Spurrier who has done so much for the SEC. He changed the SEC in a lot of different ways, especially early on in the 90's. And what he's done for the SEC and college football in general, it's really cool. Any time you go against a coach like that, it's going to be special. I think the circumstance will make it that much more special.''

Spurrier was a good QB also, wasn't he the QB for the winless bucs. Maybe Steve can come up with something to make a game of it. Fortunate for the Gaytors they had a patsy schedule this year 59th ranked in the country.

Yeah, and it will probably drop to around 65th by the time they blow past the Semi-Holes. Nice season your team is having, jess. What a joke.

3 games left until Teabag is gone and the gators suck again.

David,
Everything is a cycle and ours is improving and yours is at the pinnacle. You won't be posting for the next couple of years you'll be crying.

You sound like a man who knows a little something about being teabagged, Tommy. And, Jesse, you goober, keep dreaming. What's going on in clown-town-ahassee is much worse than a cycle. It's a new reality, pal. You guys used to AT LEAST be able to beat up on the pathetic ACC, but now you and ol' alzheimers are the new whipping boy. So funny. Same thugs, but without the talent. I can't believe you guys aren't at least smart enough to shut up and quit calling attention to yourselves, but, no, of course not. You just keep walking into that straight right, don't you, goobers?

Hey truth,
Hows the team going to be without tebow? You guys are about to go back to the whipping boys of the SEC. Gators are real cocky right now, enjoy it for the next couple weeks then its over. FSU could really ruin your season this year.

In case you didn't notice the thugs all moved over to Gainesville, you have the 44 felonies in the last 4 years, most in the country pal. Urban is winning but at the expense of a classy program.

I am so glad Tebow is graduating so we can finally here about something else. The gators will suck but at least we won't read about him everyday.

Hey Truth,
The teabag reference is aimed at the 21 year old guy who hasn't been laid, Mr. Tebow. What college guy is a virgin???????????????????????? Apparently there is one.

It's not Tebow's or the Gators' last game of the SEC. That have a little something to tend to on December 5

Just in case you semi-hole clowns have not noticed, Meyer has been recruiting top 10 after top 10 class. Brantley will be a fine qb and the Gators will continue to challenge for SEC and National championships. FSU sucks, and has sucked for an entire decade, and will continue to suck while Bowden is around; and Jumbo scares no one. Keep remembering the tainted titled from '99. It might as well be 1899. Enjoy Nov. 28.

Gator haters are so funny, I mean pathetic.
Their teams keep losing, and their best response is, "oh, that Tim Tebow is a virgin." Like it takes more character to jump on everything that says "yes."
Weak, guys. Go back to counting your losses. That ought to keep you busy for a while.
