Vanderbilt to face Gators without starting QB

Larrysmith Vanderbilt will travel to play No. 1 Florida this weekend without its starting quarterback. Redshirt sophomore Larry Smith injured his hamstring last week and is out for the remainder of the season.

"Larry Smith has some tearing in his hamstring, so I don't expect to see Larry back this year playing for us,'' Vanderbilt coach Bobby Johnson said. "The best prognosis that I've heard is four to six weeks, and we've had guys who've tweaked hamstrings and have not come back in four weeks, so this is a pretty significant injury."

Smith had started every game this season for the Commodores, and made his career start in the 2008 Music City Bowl - a win over Boston College.

Through nine games this season, Smith was 107-of-227 for 1,126 yards and four touchdowns.

Florida coach Urban Meyer said the Gators have starting studying film of senior Mackenzi Adams, who will take over for Smith, but said he was unclear on Monday just how much different the two quarterbacks are.

Does it really matter they suck. What happened did Spikes pull his eyeball out?

hell no.. That game is always a brawl anyway.. I've been to it several times when the cops were locking people up right and left.. It's way worse down on the field.

There have been dozens of players ejected from that rivalry game over the years..

You're right..Vandy does suck.
