The ultimate Pinellas Trail cycling map
Our friend and resident cycling expert Adam Newman from the Spoke 'n' Word blog has put together this great, eagle-eye view of the Pinellas Trail. We only have about a zillion other things to do right now, but we just can't stop clicking all around it, visiting our favorite stretches of the trail and checking out the parts we haven't yet had a chance to ride.
If you haven't spent much time with Google Maps, click on the "satellite'' view to see the actual view from the sky, and go back to "map'' to get the traditional map view.
Click on the "view larger map'' link above, and you'll also get a list of highlights that we just love, particularly "Confusing'', which turns out to be special instructions for navigating a part of the trail in Clearwater that is indeed confusing.
There also are icons to click to locate the best views, tricky spots to navigate, bike shops and -- thank you Adam! -- public restrooms.
Other than a little early-morning fog, the weather this weekend looks grand. So check out the map, fill up the water bottle, and hit the trail. See you Monday.
