We're drawn to Magneto

Tbdmagneto050307 No, there’s not going to be a fourth X-Men movie. Studio 20th Century Fox says it’s too expensive to get all those stars (and their egos) together in one flick. The characters will be getting their own movies, however.

Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine vehicle has already been confirmed, but now Variety reports Magneto will be getting his own turn, but probably without Ian McKellen. The movie will be written as a prequel by David Goyer, and follows a young Magneto as he hunts down the Nazis who imprisoned his family at Auschwitz. All that and a meeting with some professor named Xavier, too.

Since Goyer wrote Batman Begins, we’ll be a bit excited. But since he also wrote The Invisible, we’ll turn the happy meter down from 11.
