Britney almost booted for Samantha Jade

The music industry is almost done chewing up Britney Spears and is preparing to spit her out, according to the New York Post’s Page Six. Her video shoot last Tuesday in L.A. for Pieces of Me didn’t go very well, since the Brat decided she didn’t need to do no crummy ol’ video.

“Jive hired Wayne Isham to direct, had all the dancers there — hair, makeup and everything,” a source told the Post. “But she refused to come. Jive was really upset. They were already paying everyone overtime, and finally Britney showed up 12 hours late — but only after they told her they were going to give the video shoot to another Jive artist, Samantha Jade.”

Because that’s what you do when your fading diva refuses to participate in a $500,000 video shoot: Give it to the next hot young thing you hope will replace her.

“They were going to recalibrate it for Samantha, because it was too expensive to just scrap,” the source said. “Britney finally showed up when she realized a new, younger, hotter girl would take her slot.” We reckon we’ll see a video for Aussie Jade’s Eyes on Me soon enough anyway.
