Suit: 'Judge Judy' chief said no black litigants

We haven’t been keeping up on our Judge Judy lately, but the show’s former senior producer, Jonathan Sebastien, is suing the show’s executive producer for whitewashing the show.

Sebastian alleges in a lawsuit that Randy Douthit told his staff, “We’re not doing any more black shows,” and “I don’t want to hear black people arguing,” TMZ reports. Douthit allegedly told Sebastien and other producers to book “white upscale, pretty people” and send black litigants to Judge Joe Brown, which is produced by the same company.

Sebastien insists he was fired March 30 after complaining about the new policy, although a Judge Judy staffer tells TMZ that the ex-producer is disgruntled and filing the suit because he “was fired for cause.” Sounds like someone needs one of Judge Judy Sheindlin's signature lectures.

Count down the year with James Earl Jones

Well, okay, it's actually counting up, but hey, it's not like you're watching it today, anyway.

Williams on Letterman, Huckabee on Leno

Late-night talk shows are back Wednesday, but without writers to formulate most of the jokes, what do we have to look forward to? Well, there’s always the interviews. Robin Williams will be featured on David Letterman, while Republican presidential hopeful Mike Huckabee will pay a visit to Jay Leno, the AP reports. Jimmy Kimmel and Conan O’Brien are also back on the air, but they haven’t said much. They no doubt are scouring the list of ticketholders to see if there’s anyone in the audience worth interviewing.

Mindy McCready released from Tennessee jail

Tbdmindymccready010208 Country singer Mindy McCready, who was arrested in July in Fort Myers for fighting with her mother and resisting arrest, therby violating her probation from a 2004 drug arrest, is free again.

The 32-year-old was released Sunday morning from the Williamson County (Tenn.) jail, but must serve an additional two years’ probation, the AP reports.

Her attorney, Lee Ofman, said McCready has learned her lesson and will stay out of trouble. It’s also likely she’ll stay off the music charts for awhile, too.

Lindsay Lohan is back to playing the field

Tbdlindsaylohan010208 This is more like it: Lindsay Lohan was spotted smooching several young men while on the Italian island of Capri for a film festival over the weekend, the U.K.’s Sun reports.

Paparazzi snapped LiLo planting a few on waiter (yes, waiter) Alessandro Di Nunzio before moving on to actor Eduardo Costa. Later on she was seen in a liplock with another actor, Dario Faiella, who is the son of Italian musician Peppino Di Capri.

“She wasn’t content to share a snog with just one fella — it seemed like she wanted them all,” a source blurted to the newspaper. “She certainly set tongues wagging.” Add your own kissing joke here.

David Faustino is officially divorced

Tbdfaustino010208 Former Married ... with Children “star” David Faustino has had his divorce from wife Andrea Elmer finalized in L.A., the AP reports. Faustino filed in February, citing irreconcilable differences, but was most recently in the news for getting arrested in New Smyrna Beach in May for shouting and slurring at Andrea in the middle of an intersection. Cops found some weed in his pocket, earning him a trip to Volusia County Jail. But no worries; David and Andrea have agreed on spousal support, division of property and attorney fees. Happy New Year, young couples everywhere!

Jennifer Garner rules all of West Virginia

Tbdjennifergarner010208 Jennifer Garner may not have ever won an Emmy for her run on Alias, but she should be happy to hear her hometown newspaper in Charleston, W. Va., has bestowed upon her the honor of 2007 West Virginian of the Year.

The Sunday Gazette-Mail chose the actress for being an ambassador and role model for the state, even though she’s originally from Texas (she moved to West Virginia when she was 4). Apparently finding steady work and marrying the father of your baby is grounds for high praise in Charleston. Rim shot!

No, seriously, she’s in Cyrano de Bergerac on Broadway, is currently in theaters with Juno and has two more flicks on the way. That tops last year’s winner — David Hardesty, who only served as president of West Virginia University for 12 years before retiring in August — by a mile, doesn’t it?

Brandy won't face criminal charges in crash

Singer Brandy can breath a little easier these days, now that the L.A. city attorney's office decided Friday not to press charges in the December 2006 car crash that killed 38-year-old Awatef Aboudihaj.

The AP said the office found insufficient evidence to bring the case in front of a jury. The California Highway Patrol had previously recommended that she be charged, a claim attorney Blair Berk called out in a statement to the media:

"These past 12 months have posed an extraordinary hardship for Brandy and her family, who have been unfairly forced to live under a cloud of suspicion initially caused by the ill-advised and premature press release sent out by the California Highway Patrol accusing Brandy of wrongdoing before the police investigation was even finished."

But she won't have time to worry about the CHP: she's currently waiting on $50 million in separate lawsuits filed by Aboudihaj's parents, children and husband. Brandy and Mallory Ham, a motorist whose car struck boudihaj's, also have sued each other for negligence. Aboudihaj's husband also has sued Ham. All the lawsuits are pending.

Mischa Barton ditches gig, can't escape Vegas

Despite Mischa Barton's insistence that she would host the grand opening party for the CatHouse nightclub in the Las Vegas strip's Luxor over the weekend, Barton decided that may not have been the best idea and pulled the plug, E! Online reports.

Well, officially it was the lounge that said she was no longer wanted. "Because of the media attention currently surrounding Mischa Barton, CatHouse has decided it is best for all parties involved that Mischa does not appear at tonight's grand opening," a statement from CatHouse read Saturday.

But that doesnt mean she's off the hook. "Mischa did not show up last night as expected," a rep for the club said. "She still has to honor her contract, and what happens next remains to be seen." So a DUI means she only can postpone her next drunkfest.

Video: Penelope, Monica Cruz in lesbian liplock

Penelope Cruz likes to keep it all in the family. At least, that’s how it looks when it comes to the new video for her brother Eduardo’s new single Cosas Que Contar.

In the video (see it above), Penny and her sister Monica are dressed like naughty librarians while dubbing in dialogue for a lesbian porn flick. When Eduardo starts to sing in the recording room, things get a little hot and heavy between the two siblings, who take to acting out their dialogue. Yikes!

The rest involves rather disturbing clinches and gyrations between the two sisters, who make unsettling eyes at their pop idol bro. Looks like the song’s title, which can be translated as “Things To Tell,” was taken a little too literally by the Cruz family.

BREAKING NEWS: Jessica Simpson can't act

Proving that Jessica Simpson’s movie career was a bigger mistake than New Coke, Variety released numbers on that limited theatrical release of her “film” Blonde Ambition, showing that it managed to score only $1,322 in its opening weekend in eight Texas theaters.

Mind, this is the same pic with Luke Wilson — and Andy Dick — that was originally so awful that it was headed straight to DVD when Nu Image and Millenium Films decided to give it a short run at Christmas. Hey, it stars two Texans, so it’ll go over big in Texas, right? (Willie Nelson, how could you?)

Next up for Jess: the ironically titled Major Movie Star with Vivica A. Fox and ... wait for it ... Steve Guttenberg! Coming soon to a Blockbuster near you.

Producer Jon Peters hit with two sex suits

Tbdjonpeters123107 It’s been a busy year for Hollywood producer Jon Peters, who has had two sexual harassment suits brought against him, the New York Post reports. Peters, the moneyman for flicks like Superman Returns, Ali and Batman, was sued Monday by Bianca Hernandez, who maintains his home and office, the Post reports.

She says Peters continually harassed her, touching her breasts and buttocks, tried to push her onto a bed when he was naked, tried to kiss her breasts and offered her money for the horizontal mambo. She also says he threatened to murder her and her daughters if she complained about it.

When she complained to the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, the paper says, she was accused of stealing a $10,000 lamp. She’s suing for defamation over that, too.

Two people likely to agree are Adriana and Andrew Silveira, live-in servants at the producers’ beach house in Malibu. When Adriana got pregnant in June 2006, Peters allegedly told Andrew she needed to get an abortion or they would lose their jobs. Of course they didn’t comply, so Peters fired them by e-mail. What a guy!

And all this is after his former assistant, Shelly Morita, filed a sexual harassment suit against him last year (that’s going to trial in April). Maybe his four divorces should have been seen as a sign of instability.

Miley Cyrus breaks up with Nick Jonas

Tbdmileycyrusnew123107 We’ll spare you the Achy, Breaky Heart jokes and tell you that 15-year-old Miley Cyrus has called it quits with her 15-year-old boyfriend Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers.

What’s that? The tourmates were dating? True, says the New York Post. “They just broke up, but not many people even knew they were going out,” a source tells the tabloid.

Apparently they were trying to keep things a secret when Miley kissed Nick on the cheek during a concert, letting the cat out of the bag.

But now it doesn’t matter, and we’re just glad we don’t have to write about another high-profile teen pregnancy. For now ...

Mischa Barton won't let her DUI end her party

Tbdmischabarton123107 Mischa Barton may have been arrested for DUI last week, but that won’t keep her from hosting a New Year’s celebration in Vegas, Us says. “

We are aware of Mischa Barton’s incident last night, but at present she is still expected to host the CatHouse grand opening at Luxor Las Vegas on December 29th,” a rep for the new lounge said. “We will let you know if anything changes.”

Since Barton was busted for weaving in her car while toasted and had some weed and pills on her (so says the L.A. County Sheriff), perhaps hanging out in Vegas on the drunkiest night of the year isn’t the smartest thing to be doing.

Rebecca De Mornay charged with drunk driving

Tbdrebeccademornay123107 Continuing with the big trend in Hollywood DUIs, Rebecca De Mornay was charged Thursday for her arrest on Oct. 30. She was busted for a minor traffic violation when a cop noticed the actress smelled like New Orleans on Fat Tuesday. The AP says she is due to be arraigned Monday. Turns out De Mornay’s driving was the real Risky Business.

Sean Penn, Robin Wright are splitting up

Tbdpennwright123107 From the Out of Left Field Dept., People reports Sean Penn and Robin Wright are getting divorced. The couple have been married for 11 years. Their publicist didn’t give a reason for the split, or say what was going to happen to children Hopper, 14, and Dylan, 16. We can’t imagine what the problem is, especially since Sean seems like such a happy-go-lucky sort.

Barron Hilton giving away 97 percent of fortune

Tbdbarronhilton122807 Barron Hilton wants everyone to remember it’s the season for giving, not receiving. That’s why the hotelier announced he will donate 97 percent of his riches to his dad’s charitable group, the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation.

How much are we talking about here? Well, 80-year-old Barron will give away $900 million from the November sale of Hilton Hotels to the Blackstone Group and another $300 million of stock he holds in Harrah’s Entertainment, which is in the process of being sold. He’ll also toss in 97 percent of his other $1.1 billion in assets after his death. That’s with a “b,” friends and neighbors.

Papa Conrad gave away 97 percent of his wealth when he died, prompting Barron to do the same, saying in a statement “I am proud to follow my father’s example.”

USA Today says the nearly $2.3 billion sum will likely be the third-largest charitable gift this year, behind gifts given by the late Helen Walton, wife of Wal-Mart founder Sam Walton, and New York hotel tycoon Leona Helmsley — who managed to give $12 million to her dog in the process.

The foundation, which runs programs for developing countries, the blind, the homeless and substance abuse prevention, makes out quite well; it currently holds a mere $1.1 billion in assets.

And what of Barron’s eight children and several grandchildren (including She Who Will not Be Named)? They’ll split the remaining 3 percent, which amounts to a paltry $6.9 million or so. Whatever will they do?

Fergie, Jessica Alba are getting married

Tbdfergiejoshduhamel122807 Fergie must really know what’s she’s singing about on Clumsy since she and boyfriend Josh Duhamel are engaged after 3 years of dating, People reports.

“Fergie called a lot of her girlfriends ... to tell them the news,” a source told the magazine. “She said they don’t know what kind of wedding they want yet, but that she is the happiest girl on earth.”

Tbdjessicaalba122807_3 And the AP offers scant details by saying Jessica Alba is marrying Cash Warren, who is the father of her baby. Alba publicist, Brad Cafarelli confirmed the engagement Thursday.

We don’t know what day either engagement actually happened, but Fergie's rep said it certainly was before Christmas. That means poor Josh got hung for two big-ticket gifts this season. Who says there’s a recession on the way?

Mischa Barton arrested for DUI in L.A.

Tbdmischabarton122807 Things just aren’t the same without The O.C. Just ask Mischa Barton, who was arrested around 2:45 a.m. Thursday on charges of DUI, possession of narcotics and driving on a suspended license, Hollyscoop.com and TMZ report.

Tbdmischabartonb122807_2 Police sources say Barton “was seen straddling two lanes of traffic and failed to signal when making a turn” when she was pulled over. The L.A. County Sheriffs’ Inmate Information site initially listed her as Mischa Burton, but that’s not enough to fool those gossip hounds in L.A.

She was being held on $10,000 bail, but was described as being “very cooperative” and “no trouble at all.” She must have heard about us giving out a Juice*y Award to DUI charges for being 2007’s De Riguer Conviction.

Britney shacks up with photog in the Hills

Tbdbritneyspears122807 While Jamie Lynn skeeves us all out, her poor sister Britney Spears is reduced circus sideshow-like gossip by apparently spending last weekend with a paparazzo known only as Adnan, Us says.

According to Splash News Online, the two hooked up after Adnan gave her his business card at a gas station. “After discussing the possibility of him coming into her house she said that her house was too dirty and that she would rather go to a hotel,” Splash reports. “So they changed cars and she went back to her house to freshen up while Adnan parked down the road and waited for her. She then came out in her car and they both drove to an L.A. hotel.”

The pair holed up at the Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills until 6 a.m. Sunday, with Britney leaving 3 hours later, Us says. “We are just friends,” the Finalpixx photog says. “She was just a little upset, pretty much about everything.” Our own paparazzo Luis Santana will be thrilled to hear this.

Turns out Tony Parker was right after all

Tbdhananitsche122807_3 Only now, after the holidays take a quick breather before plunging headfirst into New Year’s, can we relate the latest about Alexandra Paressant, the so-called model who claims basketball star Tony Parker cheated on new wife Eva Longoria with her after meeting at the couple’s wedding.

People’s Dana Kennedy wrote on the Huffington Post that she did some digging and found several holes in Paressant’s story — namely that she made the whole thing up, uses pictures of other models and claims they are of her (including the ones on her MySpace profile, which is now set to private), pretends she is other people and is frankly off her rocker.

Kennedy said that after calling Paressant several times, the woman said she was going public with her “affair” after Parker insisted they have a menage a trois with Paressant’s friend, “model” Ornella Irie. Problem is, when Kennedy called Irie, it was obviously Paressant answering the phone.

Not only that, but she apparently fakes being her own agent, under the name Olivia Ducreu, and photos Paressant says are of herself are actually similar-looking, real models — including German model Hana Nitsche (pictured), who was apparently the one used in pics Paressant sent to X17 claiming to be evidence of an affair.

But had we just paid attention to the French press, the alarm bells would have gone off sooner. Mag SO FOOT has been following the tale of the girl from Le Creusot since she claimed she was marrying soccer god Ronaldinho, saying so on forums and sending out faked photos so much that the gossip mongers started to think it was true. Ronaldinho finally sued her in 2006 for saying the pair were up partying and having wild sex every night during the World Cup, despite the fact they’d never met.

So what lesson have we learned? We all should pay more attention to soccer, of course.

Casey's not the daddy of Jamie Lynn's baby

Tbdjamielynnspears122807_2 So you think ’tweener star Jamie Lynn Spears’ pregnancy at 16 after her train wreck sis Brit’s ’07 meltdown isn’t salacious enough? Try this: Star says that boyfriend Casey Aldridge is not really the daddy, since the duo supposedly aren’t even dating anymore.

So who’s the anonymous paramour? If you can believe, the mag says it’s actually an unnamed exec for her show, Zoey 101. Stop reading right now and take a breath.

“Casey is being paid off to be the family’s fall guy while the real father remains unidentified,” Star says. This alleged child molester is apparently in hiding because he would obviously be charged with statutory rape — and a severe case of bad judgment.

Aldridge, 18, became the fall guy because in Spears’ home state of Louisiana, a 16-year-old having sex with someone less than two years older is a-okay in the eyes of the law.

And what insight does Star’s anonymous source have for this sitch? “In Hollywood, little girls grow up fast, and she is no exception. With everything that has gone on in her family, she needed someone to look up to.” Paging Dr. Freud ...

It's Xmas Carol Monday! Run DMC

We said last week this was our favorite Christmas song, and it's high time we put the blog to bed for the day, so here's Run DMC's Christmas in Hollis. Happy Holidays!

Your pre-holiday roundup

Michelle Rodriguez cooked her Christmas goose early by reporting to jail Sunday in Lynwood, Calif., to serve her six-month sentence for violating probation in a DUI case, the AP reports. We’re guessing she didn’t load up on holiday rum cake beforehand.

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden geared up for the holidays on Saturday by handing out Stride-Rite shoes and Cloud B Cuddle Cub teddy bears to about 200 kids at the Richie-Madden Children’s Foundation at Paramount Studios, People says. Got to be sure to include those sponsor names!

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are asking PETA for forgiveness after the oh-so-mature animal-rights group made an interactive dress-up parody of the “Trollsen Twins,” the New York Post reports. Next, PETA will shake down the bony bimbos for lunch money.

It's Xmas Carol Monday!: Britney Spears

The visuals are a fan vid (the Danity Kane clips are a stretch), but My Only Wish This Year makes us remember when Britney Spears was young and innocent. Sigh.

Blair Warner says Jamie Lynn's a good girl

Tbdlisawhelchel122607 What would the day be without an update on the Spears family? Unwed teen mama-to-be Jamie Lynn Spears got a vote of confidence from left field, specifically by Lisa Whelchel, the born-again former ’80s teen star who played affected Blair Warner on The Facts of Life. Hey, George Clooney was on that show too, don’t forget.

“I’m very passionate about wanting to speak out on behalf of this young girl,” Whelchel told ABC News. “She is a role model, but it’s not her responsibility to be a role model. That’s so much pressure on a 16-year-old.” The 44-year-old, who has two daughters (ages 15 and 16) and has written 12 Christian family books, says Spears the younger is doing the right thing.

“I’m so proud of her for stepping up and being courageous and taking responsibility for her choices, and I believe she’s being a good role model –- a good role model in that situation, to choose to have the baby, and I am supportive of her in that situation,” Whelchel said. She might want to work on that whole adultery thing though, right, Lisa?

Katherine Heigl, Josh Kelley get married

Tbdheiglkelley122607 It’s been a big year for Katherine Heigl, what with her Emmy and Golden Globe and SAG Award, not to mention her turn in Knocked Up, which made up for her annoying portrayal of Izzie Stevens on Grey’s Anatomy. She’s decided to end 2007 and an even higher note, marrying musician Josh Kelley on Sunday at a resort in Park City, Utah.

The pair got hitched in front of a small group of family and friends in a tent outside the Stein Eriksen Lodge, according to CelebTV.com. Even T.R. Knight got in on the fun, acting as a member of her bridal party. Heigl, 29, and Kelley, 27, met when she appeared in the video for his song Only You.

It’s the holidays, and The Juice* is overcome with eggnog-sweet happiness, so we won’t even make a divorce joke. Try us tomorrow.

R. Kelly roams streets, but Borat is dead

Tbdborat122407 We’re disappointed with the AP’s report that R. Kelly didn’t have his bond revoked Friday after missing a court hearing (although his trial date was finally set for May 9), so we’ll announce the much more important news that Sacha Baron Cohen has decided to retire his characters Borat Sagdiyev and Ali G.

“It is like saying goodbye to a loved one,” the British comedian told the Daily Telegraph. “It is hard, and the problem with success, although it’s fantastic, is that every new person who sees the Borat movie is one less person I ‘get’ with Borat again, so it’s a kind of self-defeating form, really.” Trust us, Sacha; There are plenty of idiots out there who aren’t in on the joke.

Pamela Anderson hates the jealous type

Tbdpamelaanderson122407 Page Six also says that part of the reason Pamela Anderson (temporarily) filed for divorce from her recent husband Rick Salomon is because she was “cozying up” to Criss Angel at Vegas nightclub LAX.

Salomon “hit the roof when he found out Pam was hanging out with Criss while he was off at a poker tournament. They had a huge fight,” a source says.

Another snitch says Anderson was nervous because her last soul mate, Kid Rock, had “jealousy issues.” Why would she say that? Just because he punched another former hubby, Tommy Lee, at the VMAs?

And that Criss Angel sure is a magician — Cameron Diaz, Paris Hilton, Britney Spears and now Pam Anderson? Rabbits aren’t the only things he’s pulling out of his hat.

Jennifer Love Hewitt says no to 'Playboy'

Tbdjenniferlovehewitt122407 If you haven’t gotten enough of Jennifer Love Hewitt’s bikini bottom now that it’s ignited more debate on body image than the cubism movement, chew on this: Playboy’s Hugh Hefner apparently offered J-Love “a substantial amount” of dosh to pose in much less in the pages of his mag, In Touch says.

The offer apparently came as a response to the much-maligned pics from her November trip to Hawaii. But don’t head to the 7-Eleven just yet; Hewitt’s rep says she was flattered by the offer, but just said no, crushing men who’ve been following her since her Party of Five days.

FLASH: Britney and Jamie Lynn don't get along

Tbdbritneyjamielynn122407 Speaking of headline-grabbing pregnancies, the New York Post’s Page Six answers the question you’ve all been asking: Why didn’t Jamie Lynn Spears tell big sis Britney about her pregnancy? (Well, we know the obvious answer, but the Post’s sources try their best to get paid.)

“Jamie Lynn has a very soft personality,” the oft-quoted unnamed source says. “She loves Britney, not Britney’s temper.” So apparently Brat scares her little sister; how does that affect their kinship, you wonder?

“Their relationship is estranged,” the source says. “Jamie Lynn does not recognize Britney as the sister she grew up with, so she has gone to her friends, her boyfriend and her mom when she needs someone.” Sounds like she went to her boyfriend for a few too many things. So, once again, it's all Britney's fault!

Wouldn't you know it: Jessica Sierra pregnant

Just as The Juice* reveals that pregnancy is this year’s hot accessory comes word from TMZ that our favorite fallen Idol, Jessica Sierra, is in a family way!

Tbdjessicasierrasex122407_3 The site says that while Jess languishes in the Falkenburg Road Jail on charges of public intoxication, obstructing an officer, cocaine possession and battery, she’s been moved to the infirmary and put on a “pregnancy diet.” That must mean they increase her daily calcium intake by putting a slice of cheese on her balogna sandwich.

Speaking of which, “sources” tell TMZ the daddy is a “rapper.” Whether that means of the hip-hop variety or that he has a long rap sheet is anyone’s guess, but we’re willing to bet it’s both. And we don't even want to theorize about whether this has anything to do with her sex tape ... Ew.

Tony Parker sues Web site for saying he cheated

Evatony

By gum, The Juice* is gonna have to watch its back when it comes to the Parkgoria chat. Tony Parker sued the Web site X17online.com Wednesday for claiming he had an affair with French model Alexandra Paressant. Calling the stories “false and defamatory,” Parker said he’s gone through at least — *sniff* — $40 million worth of pain and suffering. “This is false. It never happened. And X17 had to know that the story was false, or, at the very least, it had to have entertained serious doubts about the credbility of its supposed source,” the suit said, according to Reuters. The suit also alleges X17 never contacted Parker, Eva Longoria or their reps for comment, and did not retract the stories after being told they were false. X17 had nothing to say on the matter. (By the way, notice how Parker didn't hesitate to sue over a potentially false and defamatory claim? Are you taking notes, Roger Clemens?)

Jamie Lynn Wombwatch: Day 3

Spears9

News continues to trickle out regarding the stunning up-knocking of 16-year-old Jamie Lynn Spears. Us magazine got in on the fun by checking in on Jamie Spears — who split from Mom of the Year Lynne in 2002 — and he’s apparently not happy. The mag says he’s “furious” that Lynne and Jamie Lynn (couldn’t these people come up with a less confusing name?) sold their story to OK! magazine. “He put his foot down and refused to take any money and 'profit off his children,’ a source said. “Lynne didn’t care.” He also reportedly “feels Jamie Lynn ruined her life.”

Meanwhile, could churchgoing boot-knocker Casey Aldridge be in trouble with the law? The 19-year-old (or 18-year-old, depending on who you believe) babydaddy-to-be could theoretically be charged with “felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile,” Us says, since Jamie Lynn is only 16. No complaints have been filed and there is currently no criminal investigation. (Life & Style says the happy parents to be are actually on the rocks; Access Hollywood, meanwhile, says they wanna get married, like, so freaking bad. The lesson, as always: No one knows anything.)

Finally, in the midst of all this chaos, MSNBC.com decided to get the opinion of the one celebrity we all wanted to hear from in this mess: Ashlee Simpson, herself the troubled little sis of a blonde former teen pop star. Ashlee’s been working on her new album Outta My Head for a year, and was supposed to debut a new video on Wednesday. Unfortunately, Casey Aldridge’s seed got in the way, costing her a shot at the spotlight. “Ashlee can’t believe this happened,” a source tells MSNBC.com. “She’s so disappointed.” Indeed — Ash had already fallen behind Drew Lachey on the fame charts; now she’s being bumped from the front pages by Jamie Lynn? If she wants to get back in the limelight, she’d better get Pete Wentz to knock her up, and fast.

Screen Actors Guild Awards get 'Wild'

Wild

The Screen Actors Guild Award nominees were announced Thursday, and surprise, surprise — Atonement, which led the Golden Globes nominees last week, was nowhere to be found. Instead it was Sean Penn’s Into The Wild leading the pack, with four nominations, including one for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture (the SAG’s equivalent of a Best Picture award.) Other top nominees: No Country For Old Men, Hairspray, American Gangster and 3:10 to Yuma. Our favorite part of the SAG Awards, though, is the ensemble acting award, which goes to the entire cast of a movie. Invariably, some, um, surprising names end up in great films, which means those actors end up winning a SAG Award for their work. That means folks like Zac Efron (Hairspray), RZA (American Gangster) and Vince Vaughn (Into The Wild) are all nominated for a SAG Award. The good news: Tampa’s Brittany Snow, another member of the Hairspray cast, is also nominated. Local girl makes good!

Below you'll find the nominees in the major categories for the movie awards, via the Screen Actors Guild Web site. We're not including the TV awards, because frankly, who gives a flying feather duster about TV these days, when the writers strike is sticking us with reruns every night. Bring us fresh meat!

UPDATE: Survivor's lunch lady gets ... served? (Eh, that works)

Consider us shocked — shocked! — to learn that someone might not have been entirely truthful on Survivor. But Massachusetts lunch lady Denise Martin, who finished fourth on Survivor: China, apologized Mulletjpg for claiming during Sunday’s series finale that she had been knocked down to the rank of janitor. When the prodigiously bemulleted contestant told folks that the school “didn’t give me my job back,” producer Mark Burnett surprised her with $50,000 worth of cheer-up money. Turns out Martin had actually been promoted, at her own request, to the janitor’s job — which has more benefits and higher pay — in late March, said Nancy Lane, the superintendent of Martin’s school district. “It was not my intention to be misleading,” Martin said, according to the Associated Press. But she was a little squirrelly on whether she’d still take the money and run if it was offered to her. “I had no idea I was going to be awarded that,” she said. “I did not do this for myself, I’ve done this for my family, I’ve done this for my town.” She’s a hero! Hail to the lunch lady, the lunch lady man!

***UPDATE!!!***

Apparently Martin has decided to donate the money to the Elizabeth Glazer Pediatric AIDS Foundation. Good for her.

Lily Allen is with child

Lily

Here in the States, we’re all about Jamie Lynn Spears’ pregnancy. But across the pond, those cheeky Brits are all atwitter about their own pregnant wild child: Lily Allen. People confirms that the 22-year-old songbird is preggo with a kid by the Chemical Brothers’ Ed Simons, 37, who she’s been dating for about three months. A rep for the Smile singer said she won’t be commenting further, but that she’s “thrilled by the news.” The baby is due next year, but will probably leak on the Internet two months early.

Jamie Lynn's pregnancy: Details emerge

Spearss

Let’s just delve right into it, shall we? Jamie Lynn Spears is pregnant. That much, you know. Now some of the blanks are beginning to be filled in. “It was a shock for both of us, so unexpected,” the 16-year-old Nickelodeon star told OK! magazine, according to the Associated Press. “I was in complete and total shock and so was he.” Spears is 12 weeks along in the pregnancy, and initially kept the news from her family when she found out via an at-home test and subsequent doctor visit. “Only one of my friends knew because I needed to work out what I would do for myself before I let anyone’s opinion affect my decision,” she said, noting that she broke the news to her mom just before Thanksgiving. “I didn’t believe it because Jamie Lynn’s always been so conscientious,” Lynne Spears said. “She’s never late for her curfew. I was in shock. I mean, this is my 16-year-old baby.” (By the way — Mama Spears’ upcoming book on parenting? Delayed by the publishers, obvs.) But what about Britney? Well, if People, TMZ and other outlets are to be believed, Jamie Lynn’s older sister didn’t even know about the pregnancy when news of it broke. Jamie Lynn said she wants to raise the baby in her home state of Louisiana, “so it can have a normal family life.” Ah, the naivete of youth!

And starring Michael Lohan as Jesus' stepdad

Before we take another swig of Wild Turkey and delve full-bore back into Jamie Lynn Spears Uteruswatch '07, here's a nice little palate cleanser for you: Michael Lohan, Lindsay's pop, starring as Joseph in a Times Square nativity scene.

OMG WT-?! JAMIE LYNN SPEARS IS PREGNANT.

Tbdjamielynnspears121907 Oh. Muh. Guh. The Juice* quits. We’ve served our purpose. We’ve dutifully covered LiLo, Wino and Britney through every step of their troubled young lives. But when Jamie Lynn Spears, 16, tells OK! Magazine that she’s pregnant ... wow.

Tbdokcover121907 The mag hits newsstands today, but TMZ.com got the scoop, saying Spears tells the magazine that the father is Casey Aldridge, who she’s been dating for a while and first met ... wait for it ... at church. Nickelodeon, the channel on which Jamie Lynn stars in Zoey 101, issued a statement to TMZ saying they “respect Jamie Lynn’s decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation.”

That’s it. We’ve done all we can do. We’re outtie. Good riddance, 2007. Good riddance, sanity. And Jamie Lynn? Please, please don’t name Britney the kid’s godmother.

The next nine months are gonna be fun. Sigh.

Ali Larter engaged

She might have a split personality in Heroes, but Ali Larter knows exactly who she wants to be in real life: Larter The wife of Hayes MacArthur. The actress and the bit-part actor got engaged over the weekend, People reports. “They’re thrilled,” says a rep, presumably not sarcastically. It’s no surprise, really. Larter recently said she’s been ready to take the plunge for a while now. “I told my boyfriend after three weeks that I wanted to marry him and that we could do it tomorrow,” Larter recently said. “I look forward to that time when I’m home with babies.” Awww.

UPDATE: Wino's dad hates on Doherty

Wino

If Amy Winehouse and Pete Doherty ever accidentally hooked up, the British tabloids would probably close up shop and call it a day, figuring no story could ever top that. Sadly, it’ll never happen — not if Amy’s dad has anything to say about it. “He’s a scumbag,” Mitch Winehouse told Grazia magazine. “I flipped when I saw him sitting with Amy backstage at her Brixton gig. That night I went crazy. My wife thought I was going to have a heart attack. I was apoplectic.” Daddy Winehouse said he wasn’t a fan of Amy’s marriage to currently incarcerated Blake Fielder-Civil, but that he has supported it. “And he’s shown while he’s been in prison a level of maturity that he didn’t have before,” he said. Prison will do that. But the real question is, will Amy ever actually go to rehab? “Believe me, my first instinct is to get hold of her, pick her up and take her back to my house and lock her away,” Mitch said. “But I’ve spoken to the finest drug counselors in the world, and they’ve said that is exactly the wrong thing to do.”

***UPDATE!!!***

Amy was arrested Tuesday in connection with an investigation into “perverting the course of justice,” British authorities said. (We’ll pause a minute to let that one sink in.) You’ll recall that Fielder-Civil is currently being held on similar charges, such as “conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.” No word on whether Amy’s arrest is related to Blake’s case, Reuters said.
