Don't expect more '24' until January 2009

Tbdjackbauer021808 If you’re hoping to see what Jack Bauer’s exploits outside of the greater Los Angeles area would be like, you’ll have to wait until next year: Fox has announced the eighth season of 24 has been delayed until January 2009, the AP reports.

The show’s tradition of running all 24 episodes on consecutive weeks without interruption would have worked if it started in January, the network said, but even with eight episodes in the can, it would have taken too long to restart production and complete the run, which would have lingered into the summer.

But if nothing else, it gives all the terorists in the world time to reformulate their dastardly plots against the United States. Plus, Chloe has time to raise her baby!
