Lenny Kravitz hospitalized for bronchitis
Lenny Kravitz was taken to a Miami hospital Monday with an extreme case of bronchitis, Ok! says. The magazine says the 43-year-old singer has had the flu since mid-January, which led to the infection.
“Due to extreme dehydration and fatigue, doctors were unable to control it with outpatient treatment and advised the singer to check into the hospital,” Kravit’s rep told the AP on Monday. “He was taken this morning to the emergency room at Mount Sinai Hospital in Miami for immediate treatment.”
The stay has forced him to postpone a European tour promoting his new album, It Is Time for a Love Revolution. We hope he’s taken the nose ring out for all that sneezing.

Make this your daily (heck, hourly) stop for a fresh serving of pop smarts and cool things from around Tampa Bay and the nation. Compiled by tbt* jack-of-all-trades Joshua Gillin and his merry band of rogue journalists, it pokes fun at ridiculous celebrity worship, collects entertainment tidbits and features fun links to amuse and amaze you and your friends.

As I know from a book entitled "Avoid Addiction to Medicine" that bronchitis can also be caused by inflamation of bronchus duct, then the duct gets pleghmed and it makes pressure increasing, so the ability of lungs in compressing oxygen within blood becomes less or decreased.

Because flu activity is on the rise throughout the U.S., CDC recommends that people get vaccinated if they haven’t done so already this season. In addition, to stop germs from spreading, take everyday preventive actions including frequent hand washing and covering coughs and sneezes. If you get the flu, take antiviral drugs if your doctor says you need them. For more information on influenza and protecting against it, visit CDC’s www.myFluNews.com
