Corinne Bailey Rae's husband Jason is dead
The husband of Grammy-nominated Brit singer Corinne Bailey Rae was found dead in an apartment in the English city of Leeds on Saturday, the AP reports.
Toxicology reports are still due to determine what killed 31-year-old Jason Rae, police said. A 32-year-old man was arrested for allegedly selling Jason drugs, but the suspect has been released on bail.
Jason was manager for Corinne, who is known for her 2006 hit, Put Your Records On. He played saxophone for the Haggis Horns, who have backed up Amy Winehouse in the past. He married Corinne in 2001 after meeting her in a jazz club, but he apparently had plenty of drug issues.
"He partied a lot and had struggled with drugs for years," a source told the U.K.'s Daily Mail.
