Suicide at Mel Gibson's house is identified

Tbdmelgibson032108 The body of a construction worker found dead at a Agoura Hills property owned by Mel Gibson has been identified as Michael John Van Dyke, a 48-year-old former foreman on several movie sets, TMZ reports.

Gibson's reps tell the site he feels "terrible" about the incident, in which Van Dyke was found hanged early Wednesday in a house addition being built on property located less than a mile from Mel's Holy Family Catholic Church. There is no connection to Gibson.

Van Dyke has worked as a construction foreman on movies like The Matrix Reloaded, Dr. Dolittle 2, Star Trek: Nemesis and Karate Kid II. TMZ says people who worked with Van Dyke say he had financial problems following a messy divorce a few years ago.
