Ashlee Simpson, Pete Wentz wed on May 17

Tbdashleesimpson051408 In a desperate attempt to make Ashlee Simpson's baby legitimate, she just might be marrying Pete Wentz this Saturday in secret, Us says. Oooo, we can't wait to see if we're on the guest list!

The pair, who have been engaged all the way back in, um, April, will be having a rehearsal dinner -- "an intimate affair" for "family and close friends only -- on Friday, which isn't shocking. Isn't that what rehearsal dinners usually are? Anyway, guests are being transported back in forth in shuttles, presumably to keep prying eyes away (and make sure they reach the mothership safely).

"Proper invites have not been sent out but instead guests have been given a save the date notice," a source told the glossy. So, people got a note saying be somewhere at a certain time on May 17, do we have that right? What makes that different from an invitation?
