Brooke Hogan lashes out on MySpace blog

Tbdbrookehogan051408 Brooke Hogan is all sorts of torqued about the backlash against her family following her brother Nick's no contest plea, so she chose to sound off on her MySpace page about it.

"I know most of the public thinks my brother is some rich little selfish kid, but NO ONE knows the real story and I'm really pissed that the truth didn't come out from either side," she wrote. "A LOT of lies were told in that trial. Believe me. And it wasn't from us. John (Graziano) was NEVER home. He was at our house. ALL THE TIME."

She also ripped on how you idiots who watch Hogan Knows Best and for some reason give a damn about them had better get up off it, because reality TV is anything but. Who knew?

"And by the way, before you judge anybody, make sure you really know them. I promise you if you were to meet my brother he would give you the shirt off his back. He's not "NICK HOGAN." AND hes not the person he plays on tv. People are so gullible now a days…"

Of course, that rant was taken down after awhile and replaced with: "wtvr I have the truth on my side. And the truth will set everyone straight sooner or later. PEACE ps: yes I took my last one off cause I know itll go around anyway. Have at it ppl."

Well, golly. It's a good thing we and lots of other folks saw it, so here we are, having at it. What? She said we could.

Luxury

This family is a mess. You got to love the Hogans. I found another Brooke Hogan update on playboy rumors here: http://www.imaginelifestyles.com/luxuryliving/2008/08/hogan-headed-playboy

WWSD

you people make it sound like he is the only one who speeds.

I bet more than half of you people with kids that are posting are out partying and driving around and racing.

Don't even say its not true majority of the kids that went to the school where they went drank all the time, were high all the time, and partied all the time.

So stop blaming the kids and blame your own generation, you guys messed up and didn't raise us right and now your out to blame us.

Grow up and be parents and stop playing the blame game.

If you don't believe me just stand on keene for a day and count how many cars speed by, or swerve that our kids. Bet your real proud aren't you.

(And now the posts about thats not my kid are going to start... when infact it shows just how little you know your kid. I bet you thought he/she still a virgin don't ya? Hahaha So gullable.)

Myself and my family beginning July 1 2008 will no longer do any business with any venues that promote ,endorse or sponsor any members of the Hogan -Bollea family..

I have been furious since I heard the tapes. I never want to see these people on TV again. These are shallow, ignorant people, with no compassion at all. This family’s true colors are being shown to the world.

My heart goes out to the John Graziano and his family. I can’t even fathom what they are going through. I lost my son, Jon 19 years old, in a high speed DUI crash. He was killed instantly; his best friend was driving the car. There were five boys in the car, all friends since childhood. And my son was the only fatality. There was anger at first towards the driver, and he did do “real” prison time. At the time the DA said “well lets see how sorry he is when he gets out.” He was sorry, and he told my other son that a day doesn’t go by that he doesn’t think of Jon. I have talked with him several times, his remorse is real. He was responsible for his best friend’s death and he has to live with that.

So though I know of my loss and the pain and the repercussions to our family, I can’t even imagine what the Graziano family is going through having their son there, but not really there. Not only do they have to live with the knowledge that their precious son is never going to be the same. They have to deal with a “family” that seems to have no conscience or remorse for their son.

Nick is blubbering about not having a window awwww, and being all by his self. Poor baby. The idiot can still walk, talk and has all his functions….well maybe not his mind, but it looks like he never had that! But at least it has given him time to think. Mind you not any inner soul searching BUT trying to set up reality show…where he can make the most money off of this tragedy! I’ve got a title for his new reality show, Nick the Devil in Disguise and His Evil Family

Linda crying that she is the victim, that she is missing her son? What the hell does she know about missing a son? For God’s sake she is talking to him. She can see him, touch and hug him and have him respond. He will be out in eight months. The Graziano family is sentenced to a life time, and she is the victim? Then she is going on about the victim’s family wanting money? Let me tell you something that I’m not sure you will not understand Linda. All the money in the world will won’t replace what they have lost!

And to you Hulk Hogan, you were a hero to my boys when they were growing up. You are blaming the victim that he must have done something wrong that caused this? By the way Oh Holy Hogan…. enlighten me please to what my son did so wrong that he died? Going to school to be a firefighter? Wanting to eventually go into animation? Not crying to his father, who has several Emmys, about getting him his own show?

Maybe instead of getting a reality show Nick should be sent to the front lines in Iraq and then we will see how positive he is when he comes back!!

Sharon

I don't understand why Hulk Hogan was not charged after all he did buy the booze, drank all afternoon with these kids on his boat and gave them the keys to his two cars when he knew they had a history of drag racing and speeding. If you or I did the same thing you can bet we would have had the book thrown at us.

tom

You can take a guess at what the Hogans are really like just by listening to the phone visits at the jail. All Nick and Linda talk about are being back out on the boat, etc etc etc. They just dont get it!

Nick Did The Crime, Now He'll Do The Time

This, unfortunately, is all about accountability. Nick apparently was never taught to be accountable. Patronizing parents, and some incredibly ignorant police ("Oh yeah, you are that kid on that TV show I like to watch --- slow down, will ya? I haven't got time to write you up like I would if you WEREN'T that kid from that TV show I like to watch"), along with foolish teenage hubris all created the perfect storm that left us with one young man a vegetable, and the other one, well, about as remorseful as a vegetable.

Nothing positive is produced by a child who lacks discipline. If there is never any consequences for your actions, you will always believe that you need to answer to no one. Nick got caught speeding SEVERAL times just before the accident -- but never learned from it. Why? There were no consequences. The police chose to treat a child -- a foolish, 16 year old child -- like a mature individual. Telling someone like Nick to "slow down next time" is simply a waste of your breath.

The police that failed to impound Nick's car now have the spectre of John laying in a hospital bed -- essentially done for this life -- on their souls. Impounding the car would have stopped the twit in his tracks. Sure, he probably wouldn't have gotten the necessary follow-up discipline at home, and more than likely would have been on the road a day later in a faster, more powerful car, well beyond the scope of his limited driving ability.

There are no winners here -- but I agree with the poster who said that Nick is a spoiled kid. A kid who wasn't spoiled would have recognized that he was headed down the wrong path. Instead, he kept misbehaving. And now, that misbehaving has exacted a terrible price.

Nick, you need to live and learn. Be thankful you CAN live and learn. John doesn't have that option.

CMC

He had life by the balls, now hes gonna have em across his nose!

Linda

Ultimately, it's not one persons fault. It was a tragedy waiting to happen when he was not called on his previous infractions. As for not judging the family because of teir TV show, You are judged by what you put out in public. If you act like a jerk on TV people will think your a jerk. This family gave people this impression for money and now want people to think different. I think not. Maybe they should go low profile for a while because most of us are sick of the trailer trash news lately.

mike

You are correct on one account I do not know Nick. I don't want to know Nick. What we know OF Nick is he has a history of reckless driving , racing license or not. How many other 17 year olds would be popped for 100+mph and still have a license ? Money will protect you for a little while but eventually karma comes a knockin .

vicki

May God bless both families

gena

she is stupid

Dino

As someone who has had the opportunity to actually meet the family several times over the years, I will tell you that Nick was always a gentlemen- both as young man and as an adult. The parents have been nothing but cordial to anyone in my presence during conversation, and observation. Ultimately, he was no more spoiled that any other child who's parents have obtained great deals of money and are able to offer a more desirable lifestyle to their much loved children. Things that, though contradictory to what most would believe, we would find ourselves doing in similar circumstances. "Please do not judge lest ye be..."
Also, his drinking had him far below the legal limit. Another 8 months or so and it would not have been as much an issue. NOONE on this board, who filched a beer at seventeen, would have expected such an outcome. I would never make excuses for that day, but- an adult passenger knowingly entered a vehicle, with an underage drinker, and PARTICIPATED in the race. If any of you believe that one of his closest pals was not cheering him on- you are self delusional. I normally do not care for such mundane subjects, but have always liked the family that, incidentally, grew up here. If you are all so poignant, and omniscient, please put yourselves in the place of these people and look at the loss on both sides. Nobody was fully innocent, both are paying dear prices, and two families have been torn apart.

Shannon

I feel bad for all parties involed!! As teens we do stupid stuff but this move cost everyone greif!!! I am 36 and not proud of mistakes I have made....

Bill

The Bollea family already knew what the sentence was going to be and they knew it was not going to be harsh. Nick got off EASY. If he had a public defender he would be sitting for the next 3-5 in some S%&T-HOLE. Instead, junior will do a couple of weeks with no worries and be out before you can blink. Fame and fortune does have it's advantages. "Justice for all" my A$%!!!!!!!

mikey

Nick was a careless idiot driver. I did stupid things in a car when I was a kid but I knew if I crossed the line my parents would clamp down on me and I would lose the car. Nick did not have this fear, but was actually encouraged by his idiot parents! This accident was bound to happen.

rn

john is a BIG boy who CHOSE to get into that car. his family never had a problem with him "riding" or taking vacations with the hogan family until, unfortunately their son got injured. YES it's a shame BUT it's not just hogans fault. i'm NOT sticking up for hogan b/c of celebrity status..i'm doing it b/c it isn't just hogans fault. if john were to get into the car w/ a "regular" person there would be NO lawsuit/money..again unfortunately it happened with someone who had money.yes i feel sorry for the family but there are SO many people (and they aren't in the news) who have gone through the same situation and got NO MONEY/ATTENTION from it. john may be in a vegetative state but he is as much to blame a hogan. WHAT WOULD JOHN WANT out of all this if he could speak? NO ONE EVER thinks of that

I re-read the article and am a bit astounded that Brooke would blast people that wrote in support of Nick. I have seen the show only once. I didn't give my support because I think I 'know' any of the Bollea's from the show. I gave it because if either John or Nick were my brother, I would feel bad for them. Fame doesn't have anything to do with it...empathy does.

jan

I understand anyone's need to rant when someone they love is in pain. Brooke, I just wish you would have given a shout-out to the people who wrote to you with kind things to say (me, for one), offering emotional support to your family in their time of grief.
Brooke, you're right, I don't know Nick, but I choose to believe the best in him. I believe he is already suffering terribly from the tragedy that has befallen both young men and their families. I hope the future brings healing to both John and Nick.

HULK HOGAN

WELL LET ME TELL YA SOMETHIN. MY LITTLE HULKSTER IS LOCKED UP IN A CELL MAN. IVE BATTLED, THE MOST GIANT OF GIANTS, THE FASTEST OF THE LUCHADORS, AND THE MOST POWERFUL MONSTERS ON THE PLANET. BUT THIS IS A TOUGH ONE, MEAN GENE. MY LITTLE NICK GOT A RAW DEAL DUDE. AND IM GOING TO FIND JUSTICE OUT THERE. NO STEEL BARS CAN STOP A HOGAN. NO GUNS, NO BULLETS, NO TASER CAN TAKE DOWN A HULKAMANIAC. BIG BOSS MAN TRIED AND BIG BOSS MAN FAILED, AND YOU WILL FAIL JUST THE SAME. SO WHATCHA GONNA DO TAMPA, WHATCHA GONNA DO WHEN NICK HOGAN, WHEN THE SUPER SUPRA, AND ALL THE LITTLE HULKAMANIACS RUN WILD ON YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!

morey

I know John . He's far from an idiot ! If he thought Nick was drunk he would never have gotten in the car. His alcohol level was .003 or something ! basically nothing. You all keep saying you can't wait until the truth comes out so why cop a plea ??? so the truth COULDN'T come out !

angry

i know johns mom VERY WELL she never badmouthed the bolleas but is angry & hurt about the EXAGGERATION AT BEST ABOUT JOHN 'LIVING ' THERE. he just came home from marines in march !!! was hardly with nick except for working while testing for sheriffs dept.!and that terrible weekend.he was friends w/ DANNY the other driver ( both like a big brother to nick )who stayed to live the good life while john was a Marine so let's get REAL !!!! HE'D BEEN AWAY 2YRS !!!home 4 mths !HOME , with HIS family !!

Kristin

Re: An adult who chooses to ride in a car with a drunk driver is responsible for themselves. John knew what was going on and made the decision that got him in his current state. He was a willing participant in the drinking and racing. I think the punishment is fair

I really wish people would stop saying this. John was not the only one in danger. When you drive like that, everyone on the road and the sidewalk is in danger.

resonable punishment

An adult who chooses to ride in a car with a drunk driver is responsible for themselves. John knew what was going on and made the decision that got him in his current state. He was a willing participant in the drinking and racing. I think the punishment is fair.

Jade Green

The problem I have with all this is that this jerk won't learn anything from this. He'll be right back out there in a newer faster car taking out some innocent kid waiting for his school bus or something!

Oh! wait...hang on a sec. I'm getting ready to do a lap dance for MM's dad!

Bob

They can make a new reality show with Nick in prison. They can show his "room-mates" pulling a train on him, CHOOOOOCHOOOOO!!!!!!

Tired of it all...

Brooke's comments really speak loudly about what type/kind of friend and human being she really is. You loved the limelight when your family was trying to portary themselves as the hip new TV family with all the toys and money. I watched it to really get a good laugh, nothing more. This was a very sad commentary on your family. Now you blame everyone else but your own family, grow up Brooke and welcome to the REAL WORLD!

Rebekah

No one knows the "real Nick". He must be really complex for a spoiled 17 year old. I bet he'll have a little added depth when he gets out of county.

Johnny Rotten

Who on this post actually knows the Bollea family personally? If you do, I would love to know what kind of kid Nick really is/was. Everyone else judging him is doing so on pure speculation.
The kid made a mistake. He owned up to it and took it like a man. It is a tragedy what happened to John Graziano but people make bad choices and teenagers make them significantly more often. If you think for a moment that he is the only person in this area who likes to race, then you have never been on Gandy late on the weekends. The only difference is Nick has a famous DADDY who everyone knows and we love to see a celebrity fall from grace.

John

Brooke is a spoiled whiney BEEEHAAACH and I hope good old Nicky boy gets turned into somebody's BEEEEHAAAACH!! The family makes me sick and I hope I never see their faces in Clearwater again.

MM

Jade...

How about you not worry about what work or lack there of... Some of us don't really have to work all that hard to make the big bucks. And it appears to me you are also on here. Do you not have some community service or something to do???? HA

Patrick

Jade Green,

As a matter of fact I don't have any work to do. I'm sitting in your office, making more than you, with nothing but time on my hands. What's your excuse?

Simon

Brett, you accused someone of ignorance while in the same breathe defending those who would not wear the proper safety gear while operating a dangerous machine.

Point, match.

thank you.

Jade Green

You all are sitting here wasting your time debating on a guy who is pretty much worthless. Now he's eating on my tax dollars!

Let him get out of jail and do the same things over and over again.

Seriously, does anyone on here have actual "work" to do at the office or are you all just burning up the clock surfing the internet and writing silly comments about some goofy kid who is going to end up dead someday anyway.

The guy is a habitual offender. Look at his driving record. I give him another 10 years on earth, then blondie can kiss little bro' goodbye.

He looks like a big sap in his photo on here.

Jade Green

Anyone else who drinks and drives and hurts someone gets a HELL of alot more punishment and gets treated ALOT worse than this rich spoiled brat did! She needs to count her blessings and be thankful that her and her family are viewed as being above the law, otherwise he'd have been in jail a looooong time ago and would have been treated like the other "cattle" down at the 49th street hilton!

MM

Simon...

We know what 'could' happen if you don't wear a seat belt. That was not what was said by Brett he mentioned it was a personal choice.

So maybe you might 'read' before you post...

Brett

I fully understand the physics of a car accident but thanks for the refresher course. My point was- People who don't wear seatbelts are not evil. Its a personal choice, as is the choice to ignore any law. Is it a smart choice? No, seatbelts obviously save lives.

Simon

Brett, any person who does not understand that an unrestrained object in a vehicle will continue to travel at the same speed as the vehicle is ignorant.

I've seen people coughing up teeth like chicklets after they've flown through a windshield, not to mention the fellow who lost his entire bottom jaw to the steering wheel.

In short, think before you post.

Patrick

We may not know "the real" Nick but I'm pretty sure there's some greasy convicts who are going to get to know him quite intimately.

The Soap. Don't Drop It.

Brett

"Anyone watching the MTV show will see them driving around without seat belts. Says it all really."

Says it all? I really don't see what that says. That's a personal choice to wear a seatbelt or not. I know police officers that don't even wear their seatbelts. So they're bad people because of that? You sir, are ignorant.

Helen

Anyone watching the MTV show will see them driving around without seat belts. Says it all really.

Brett

As sad as the entire situation is for both families it's even more pathetic that there are people in the area lashing out at the Hogan's. Nick did the right thing here. He made a mistake, pled guilty and took his punishment. I have alot of respect for that. He didn't have his expensive lawyers plea bargain for a lower sentence or drag it out in trial where he probably could have gotten off. He man'd up and took what was coming to him. I'd hardly call that being a spoiled little rich kid. Props to Nick and the Hogans and my condolences to everyone involved.

Tracy

It is my opinion that when Nick was getting those tickets if he was punished by his parents that he would realize consequence. Was he punished? If he was and he still chose to race than he does believe he is above the law. He was a minor living with his parents while racking up the tickets so why was he still allowed to drive such a fast race car.

King of Kings

She is lucky people cared about watching the show, it drew the highest ratings for VH-1 in history and saying that should kill her show that is being filmed.

Looks like besides Hulk, the rest of the family cannot handle fame at all. I have heard they are very nice people.

George

Waaaaaa. Waaaaa. I'm a rich little, spoiled tramp and you don't know me! Waaaaaa. Please crawl back under your rock, Brooke. Your 15 minutes are up.

Tom

This is a case of having too much too young. Pampered , spoiled , and treated with kid gloves has produced this immature being that as well as killed hid friend. One has to be responsible for their actions at every age. He got off easy !

John

Some random thoughts:

We knew Nick when he played in the Dunedin soccer league, nice kid, family just the same.

I do feel sorry for John and his family. No one should have to go through that with your kid. However, I feel that John was old enough to decide whether to get the car with Nick and that he was old enough to know to buckle up. It doesn't excuse what happened. Nick shouldn't have been driving those speeds, but I do believe that Nick is taking responsibility. Kids aren't perfect, whether you're rich or poor, they make stupid mistakes at that age.

As for Mike's comment about John hanging out with Nick and the age difference. In the military most of the guys in a typical squad can range from 17 to 22. Nothing weird there, just the way it is.

Last thoughts, I don't believe Hulk disrespected anyone by wearing a dew rag to court. Poor fashion sense perhaps, but I don't see it any as being any different then someone wearing a scarf.
