Harrison Ford waxes his chest for rainforests
Celebrity public service announcements are a big deal these days, what with superstars like Joel Madden and Nicole Richie taking time out of their busy schedules doing nothing to talk about disaster relief. But Harrison Ford has stepped up to the plate and showed us where it really hurts -- in the chest hair.
The 65-year-old actor brings the pain in a PSA for Conservation International, talking about how global warming is the result of deforestation half the world away. In the spot, he gets his chest waxed to illustrate how "every bit of rain forest that gets ripped out over there, really hurts us over here."
Conservation International CEO Peter Seligmann told the AP that Ford was all for the concept of the commercial.
"I didn't have to talk him into anything," Seligmann said. "I was there when he filmed it. It really hurt. There's nothing about the expression on his face that was fake." But the winner is the trademark Ford grimace at the end of the commercial -- check it out above.

Harrison Ford also lent his voice to the“Dalai Lama Renaissance” with its premieres theatrically in U.S. on May 23. The is the first film about the Dalai Lama and Tibet to open theatrically in the United States since the international spotlight placed on China for its firm handling of Tibetan protestors speaking out against Chinese policies in Tibet.
